Extremely impressed with the story and the combat. This is still Final Fantasy in spirit, and has finally turned me around on the need for turn based combat. If the plot and writing are this good, with a combat system I enjoy, tradition isn’t so important after all.

You can probably tell this isn’t a good ‘game’ from the screenshots on the store. But just in case these paid-for user reviews are fooling you it’s a walking simulator with no gameplay and no story beyond a long extend voice over written by a twelve year old who has discovered a thesaurus. Only good for trophy hunters.

This will go down, at least in my household, as a local multiplayer titan up there with Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. My only regret in buying it, is that I’ve unleashed an addiction on my housemates who are constantly asking if we can play on weekends. The mechanics nail that ‘just one more game’ feeling, the characters and design is adorable, getting into games is instant. It’s an absolute steal for the price.
