A very underrated game of the greek franchise. Nonetheless, Santa Monica reused a lot of (too f*cking many) assets from previous games (which is not exactly a bad thing). The graphics and level design are incredible for a PS3 to render, still the gameplay is renewed without being inventive. I liked. On the other hand, many players didn't appreciate it. To enjoy this game after 12 years from its release is enough time to consider the last Kratos' game from the PS3 era a classic already. It's a pity that some classics like this one are yet stuck on a not so old generation console.

If this game were to be launched in the PS2 era, it would already be a classic. It evokes a type of nostalgia feeling amongst the gameplay. The history feels warmth and lightly emotive. The characters may not seem memorable in name or design, but their stories are well entangled with the main plot. The level design is ok, I guess... The combat feels fairly challenging and, somehow, at the same time, kindly frustrating in the higher difficulties. For a game that requires a parry mechanic, it is strange to sense a weigh in your movement. Since the story is all rounded up, I don't feel the need for a "part 2", however, if the developers want to build a similar gameplay style game, they should take the combat flow in consideration (not that is bad, but it feels cranky sometimes).

They made it a better version of this masterpiece without, however, adding new content. No flaws in sense of gameplay or cinematic were seen. I felt somehow nostalgic while playing everything all over again. It's an incredible game, but the price does not justify the pros and, unfortunately, highlights the cons.
