Hard Time (2013)7

**** is insane, and this game is all the proof a court would need to get him in an asylum. It's entirely free to get, a HUGE plus, and though glitch and poorly explained, it is a fun way to kill some time. The character customization is quite nice even if a bit silly, and the combat is just ridiculous.

I throw 10s around more often than I should to boost a rating **** I really consider a 9.5 or 9.7 maybe, but there are very few games I consider perfect. This is one of them. The levels are mental, quite literally, the dialogue is perfectly written and well delivered, the gameplay is fun and the concept is unique. The art style, even, was like anything before it.

Dungeon Keeper (2014)0

I really didn't think it could be as bad as people made it out to be. It is. I guess when EA said they'd learned from the failure of Sim City and that they'd fix the Sims, it was their real way of saying "we'll fix Sims 4, it's too late for Dungeon Keeper". Looking forward to buying an actual game instead of spending the money it would take to play this "free" game. As a sidenote, I don't even mind f2p that much, Tapped Out! remains on the iPad and Tyrant is still one of my most played games on Kongregate, this is just too far.

FTL: Faster Than Light9

Is it a perfect game? No. Some things are buggy, some things are just troll-y. Is it very good? Yes. I can't really think of a reason not to like this game, all of its flaws are easily overcome by other pros for it.

Dragon Age II9

Gameplay is where DAII was the weakest, though the Xbox version felt more RPG-y than the PC version. I never finished it on Xbox, though as far as I got, it wasn't glitchy or anything, just not the best combat system. This deserves more love than it gets.

Dragon Age II8

Let me start by saying that I first played this on Xbox 360, then PC, THEN played the first game. The PC version, while better looking, didn't seem optimized control wise for this game. The console version just seemed ... better. Some very interesting things here still, not a BAD game at all, but it is the worst incarnation of DA I've played outside of EA's attempt at a flash game version.

Interesting but doesn't really GO anywhere. It gets tougher but there's very little that's new, this lost me. That said it is very pretty and the mechanic was the first of it's type that I'm aware of, for sure.

Dragon Age: Origins10

Started this game as a female dalish elf and it played fine enough, would've given it about an 8/10. After it crashed about an hour and a half in though and hadn't saved (my computer's fault, NOT the game's), I restarted as a male human noble. The story lines are actually different enough it peaked my interest to keep going. Turned into a game that jus got better and better. Recommend this off the charts.

A great "five more minutes game". I'll just try it one more time. Oh, I almost made it to the womb. OK, I gotta try again. Oh, I unlocked a new item. Better go look for that. There is no stopping this game.

A very interesting game that unfortunately has such a strange and grindy tutorial, it's hard to get into. Once you get past that, it's much nicer, but the beginning was hard to sit through.

Very good, especially for a totally free game. It's a little small and repetitive, though again, as far as free games go, it's pretty unique and interesting.

Pretty and relaxing. Don't expect a great game or a hard game or an exciting game, expect a nice little relaxer. Good to play before going to sleep. There are actually a fair few secrets and puzzles to this game, so if you want to play it game-y, that's something you can do, too.

The walking is jittery, the graphics are pretty bulky and unimpressive, and the story just isn't good. The sound effects don't even work well. Its like someone took everything good that Proteus had and forgot to put it in this game.

Hotline Miami9

Bizarre, fast paced, and gory in the best way possible. A little annoyingly difficult at moments but that's not neccessarily a bad thing. A very good game, not the best ever, but very good.

Age of Empires III: Complete Collection9

Picked it up on clearance when a local Office Depot was closing, and was not expecting much. I'd played the first two games and Age of Mythology, which I loved, but it seemed to get a little less interesting and a little overly complex with each game came out, but this was actually quite nice. Prettier but not too complex, and the home cities are actually a nice adition. The cards I'm not a huge fan of for an AoE game but I like the mechanic.

Don't go into this expecting a challenging puzzle game. Go into this expecting the best story in the history of gaming. This has the best writing, best character development, and best voice acting of any game I have ever played. And what's more, every character is nothing more than a little rectangle. But I care about those shapes more than I care about most humans in video games, to be honest with you. Pretty incredible to go from a little flash game on Kongregate to a full steam game, and even more incredible to improve so much in that jump.

Gameplay's a little repetitive, but fun. I do appreciate that things are still being changed and added, but this does cause some weirdnesses from time to time as well.
