This is one of my childhood favourite games. I instantly fallen in love with it first time I played it. Barcelona, living, breathing city filled with intrigues, violence and magic. Every part of the city had its atmosphere, creepy beggars and christian fanatics at every corner, Inquisitors and Templars whipping tainted into obedience and keeping pure humans from slaughtering them. Wielders hiding in shadows and Goblins lurking around city walls. Meeting Machiavelli, Da Vinci and many more, learning the changed history of this magically twisted world. The game itself makes you rush deeper and deeper into it and find out more about the story, until iron fist in spiked gauntlet smashes you into face in Montserrat. Suddenly you are thrown into completelly different game, diablo styled hack n slash **** where you will realize how bad is combat system made, how slowly your mana regenerates in comparison with health, how boring is listening into one hissing attack sound every enemy in that damn monastery makes. Most of the best spells are practically useless, because you can kill a skeleton with 5 firebolts instead of one fireball .. and you will keep 30 mana ... and so on. There is no use for diplomacy, barter or other non combat skills and if you try to sneak around the enemies, you will get only 75% of the exp because you didn't kill them. Sometimes you get stuck on the ground and cannot move so the only solution is load. And your best companion in the game, Joan of Arc, will get stuck in every door so she is practically useless. Its so painful to see such great game you experienced yesterday, turning into this hell of a mess of boredom and bugs. I really love Barcelona and still play the first half of the game from time to time, but there is always that feeling of impending doom and when the time comes and the game turns into bitterness its always heartbreaking disappointment. Maybe one day I will get again into the France, to piss off the Cathars with my belly full of meat ...

Well I wasn't expecting something awesome, but after half hour my interest changed into bitterness. A lots of classes is what I really liked about this game. A different options of game style can keep you even in most boring games for a long period of time. But after I discovered how the dice works the fate of this game was forever sealed for me. You will mostly get 1 to 3 on normal rolls and when you roll 1 next roll will be 4. When you roll 2 next roll wil be 5 and same with 3 and 6. The problem is that mostly your opponent gets those good rolls and until you use fate you are screwed. Besides of the evil dice you get a lot of bugs like getting stuck after spell failure because you press some key on the keyboard and there is nothing you can do except for quiting the game. Your raft won't work, your items and so on ... and I experienced this in about 2 hours ... so you can make a picture.

Kind of a fun for a first time you play it, but gets more and more boring as you spend more time in the game. Vanilla literally ****. Mods can really enhance your enjoyment. I mostly play Song of Taliesin, its my favourite mod from the couple I tried. SoT fixed rubber horses and many things about weapons and stuff. And also its situated in my favourite era. But still you will get bored of idiotic AI and running around for food and money for those lazy **** who will die few hours after you paid them.

Worse than its predecessor, better graphics and more options to do in RP, but worse combat and AI. Fancy combat moves which have no place and mostly wont hit, like mounted attack right into horses head. Rubber horses are back, even in my favourite mod Brytenwalda. I still like first game most of all M&B's.

Far Cry 3

Far Cry 3 is definitely a weird game. It will mind **** you so much and than leave you in your insanity. Just like that, like nothing happened. So we should start from the beginning. You are rich spoiled child who was kidnapped by some insane ****ed up island king of inbred tribals. Suddenly you are torn out from your dream life of parties and boredom into cruel reality. But kidnappers are too dumb and you and your older brother manage to escape. After short period of time your brother lays dead and you run through unknown jungle. You slip, you fall and you lose senses. When you wake up the real game begins. Now you can explore whole island on your own no matter what. You can liberate small forts on the island which will make roads safer (so they say). After liberation of some fort a car full of Rakyat, the tribals, will appear and take over the place, quoting stupid things 'till the end of time. Another thing of importance to the tribals are radio towers. If you can climb them up and destroy technical device of island king Vaas(and Vaas doesn't give a **** whole game), you will reveal a part of map and also make Vaas blind in this area. The side quests and collectibles will now show on the map too. But when you liberate whole island and explore whole map nothing happens. Not a single thank you. Tribals just don't care. And there is much more of what they don't care about. So you go and start side quests. And now some weird **** will happen. You can come across a guy who needs photos of dead pirates for his personal sick business. You will find a guy who's daughter was kidnapped by aliens and he needs to locate all of his packages. But when you do quest just ends and he doesn't give a **** about his daughter anymore. You will search for husband of one tribal woman, who thinks her husband is cheating on her, just to find him with another man. And so it goes like this, until you realize that all of Rakyat are pretty ****ed up bunch of liars and you just want to put them all down. So you will turn on to the last things you can do in this game: hunting for animals and relics. But sooner or later you will start to feel guilty for genocide of rare species, because bigger bags you make, more animals it takes. Until one point, when you need a rare animal and than you need to find a specific quest and hunt it with special weapon. So after lots of carnage you have all the bags and animals have no meaning in game anymore, except small enemies. Relics are scattered all over the island. You can find statuettes, memory cards and letters of japan soldiers from WWII. The informations on discs and letters are boring and just flat, and relics and letter spawn randomly on the island. So sooner or later you will return to the place where you took one relic, just to find another few meters further. So after a while it's boring and pointless too as all other activities. And after all these things you will return to the main story, where **** hits the fan. You will rescue all of your friends and slowly develop your "warrior" skills through some short missions of simple story. You will rescue you stupid stoned friend, who would certainly die but doesn't give a **** about gratitude after you save him. Your mean **** girlfriend, your older brothers girlfriend and at last your younger brother. And as this happy bunch you want to leave island. In this saving process you will inhale and eat so much drugs it would kill an ox but you will just walk away with a headache just to please everybody on this godforsaken island. You will please a tribal queen Citra just to disappoint her at the very end and also kill some god and island king and Rudolf's gay uncle and most evil boss German and ... and after all this ... you will be still mean **** and spoiled kid and yell yuck when you skin an animal and with big meaningless tattoo after all this ... you will stay on the island! There is no way home. No return. You will just stay there, kill bandit bosses with the knife like real Rakyat even if you rejected them at the end. You will encounter same two men patrols of pirates and mercenaries and the tribals won't still give a **** about you and drive like crazy killing their own on the roads and smashing the cars into trees. And than you will realize that this is a nightmare ... and it won't end until you uninstall the game... And still, it's not all I hated about this game, but I don't want to think about it anymore.

I love Wolfenstein. I love hightech mystical magical **** mumbo-jumbo thingies and I always will. But the Wolfenstein N.O. just broke my heart. I was so excited to play this game. So eager to get into **** genocide once more. Once more to save the world from evil with B.J. But instead of good shooter we've got empty storyline with flat characters and wannabe love story. B.J. is like dumber brother of Max Hoss most of the time. Things doesn't work properly in most of the cases, like you cannot go with just sneaking and silent killing because **** will see you even in darkest places, you can get stuck on the place by invisible wall or just held by some furniture. Half of the game is boring platforming, cut-scenes which I really hated and helping people who doesn't give a **** about you. Seriously there was a guy with assault rifle crouching and yelling at you but he never made a single shot. And who's idea was putting knife throwing button on mouse 3?! This game is so "console" made it hurts my eyes. Every time I saw a chance to let B.J. die I let it happen. Because he deserves that. If the B.J. from first Wolf 3D would live he would definitely smash the face of this **** for good. He is so dumb and other characters just use him for their own purposes. At the end of the game he crawls bleeding to the crowd of people and than fell to the ground when he reaches them. But they just shout some **** and let him there to rot . Even his great polish love! Seriously! And in next cut-scene another character needs help from him in stuck elevator, because dozen of people standing out of elevator cannot do it. The game, B.J. and most of other things are so stupid it hurts. Dumb **** are damn sharpshooters and they can hit you even behind the corners. They also know how to teleport and most of the times spawn out of nowhere when you reach certain spot. You want to get all golden items and other collectibles? Ok, there is just one chance to do it so run around all corners and peek into every hole, because once you get through some point, you cannot turn back. Seriously that big muscled man cannot jump on most objects and don't know how to climb! So if you missed something, restart your checkpoint. And speaking of checkpoints, they are most evil thing of this game. What the hell is wrong with good old quicksaves. Instead of saving you got some weird checkpoints and when you die, which happens a lot, you will load from the checkpoint, which is far away and mostly behind big battles, where you will die again and again and again ... So my humble opinion after this horrible experience is, there is something very wrong with people these days, if they like games like this and make games like this and call it old style FPS's and other bull****. They probably never played old style FPS and doesn't know what they're talking about. The days of Carmack are certainly gone and this game is another tombstone to FPS games.
