Solid and enjoyable Tetris style puzzle game. Aim of the game is to match the blocks until the area is clear. Has some interesting puzzles and introduces some more difficult situations as the game progresses. It’s a chilled out game which I found enjoyable.

Point and click adventure with a fun storyline. Brings back memories and certainly does the job of filling in that nostalgic urge. If you enjoyed maniac mansion then this is a must buy. I found using the controls a bit too time consuming so I switched to just playing it in portable using the touch screen. This doesn’t make it any less of an enjoyable experience.

Sports/Racing hybrid game where you are in an arena to play football/soccer with cars. The game works well with the Switch, but it’s disappointing how they will introduce a season pass similar to Fortnite while you still pay $20 for the title. We will see how that one pans out but I doubt I will go for it. The problem I have with the Switch version is matchmaking can take way too long. In the same household I have never had this issue on my PC or PS4. Overall when you finally manage to get into a game it works well but also it is cross platform yet you cannot play online matches with friends on another platform, only private matches which is a bit pointless.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 might be one of the most underrated Switch titles to date. An action JRPG with an array of characters to fill your team with. The content is none stop and every single map area is absolutely stunning. There are frame rate issues in portable when the fighting gets a bit rough but I didn’t let it get to me. This will supply you with 100+ hours if you decide to go through as many side quests as you can. The story is great and you can feel an attachment to the characters which makes the story much more compelling.

Fast paced top down shooter with rogue-like elements. Huge selection of guns, enemies and the maps are completely random to ensure a different playthrough everytime. At first I struggled to get into the game, but after 3 runs I was absolutely addicted. There is always new things popping up all the time, new NPC’s, new unlockable weapons or items and 4 different playable characters. Multiplayer is so much fun too, but proves difficult using the joycon with motion sensor, 2 full controllers are definitely needed in order to succeed. Should be part of any serious gamers collection.

Quite possibly the greatest game made to date. An absolute must for any gamer. 10/10. Huge open world with some tough challenges through out.

Golf RPG with a story that pulls you in. The golfing in it works really well and with plenty of practice can be perfected. If you are in two minds whether to just go for it, take the plunge like I did, you will not be disappointed.

Classic arcade golf on the Switch. It’s not realistic in any way, the graphics are what you would expect from a game made in the mid 90’s, because that’s when it was made. It’s a good laugh and will provide you with the entertainment you need. As a retro freak I couldn’t let this one slip through my fingers when they ported it to the Switch.

I struggle to find anything negative to say about this title. The gameplay and responsiveness of the character really is second to none. You are set in a beautiful world where you must search through the depths to find more and more about the story. The game is definitely quite unforgiving and requires patience if you wish to succeed. The best side scroller I have played in a very long time. It will provide you with hours upon hours of gameplay and also there is add on content coming for free to the Switch. A must buy for 15 bucks, hell I would have paid double and still been happy.

A very fun game with great replay value. The order you choose the stages changes the outcome. Controls are engaging, graphics are fun and the enemies are well thought out in particular the bosses. Plenty of classic cameos in the game if you are a 80’s/90’s movie and video game fan. A good buy for a cheap price, recommended.

Not the game I was expecting. If you are looking for a fun to play golf game then this is not for you. The control sensitivity is terrible and there is no option for motion controllers. I played this with my family for a short while and none of us found it fun. The course building section is far too complicated to the point where we built the course but couldn’t finish it and play it. The only positive I can take is the ‘Sims’ style graphics are fun. Try another golf game if you are looking for some enjoyment.

Does the job of filling that gap for the top down classic GTA urge. Story is fun, side quests are fun but the game can feel a little repetitive and tedious at times.

Bought this game on launch as I had read about its classic RPG elements. The game has an attractive world, great turn based battle, likeable characters and the levelling up via the card system really works. The only part that stopped me giving this higher than an 8 was the fast travel and save system. It’s not possible to save on the world map and to fast travel from one location to another you must go via your ‘base’. If these elements were improved it would definitely be a great title in relation to the price.

Raging Justice didn’t tick any of the boxes I was expecting it to. The graphics made it very appealing but the gameplay and sound were so disappointing. It felt extremely repetitive without any real rewards. The multiplayer was more fun but still lacked the core attributes a side scrolling beat em up should have. Unfortunately I went in expecting it to be a Streets Of Rage 2018 improvement but it failed to even shine the boots of the cult classic.

Superb port to the Switch, it’s cheap and cheerful and provides plenty of entertainment. Multiplayer option is great. If you are not into completely random events and imminent deaths happening then this isn’t for you, but the replay value is cracking. The random characters you encounter on the way make it lots of fun, not to mention your own character creation section.

The only thing that stops me giving this a 10 is that I do not consider this an absolute jaw dropping masterpiece, but it’s pretty damn close. If you have never played this game then it’s the absolute perfect fit for the Nintendo Switch. Farming RPG with so much content it’s will give you a good 80 hours before you might get a bit bored, that being said I managed 100 and I’m still enjoying it. A must buy.

As a first time player of Fortnite due to South East Asia PS Store not having it, I downloaded this FREE game as it launched. It runs superbly on the Nintendo and is great fun. Very little time waiting to enter the battles which was really surprising after the time it takes to matchmake on Rocket League. Fortnite does not force you to pay for anything, as the in-game currency which can be purchased is good for aesthetics only and doesn’t make any difference to performance. Again it’s Free, so if you don’t like it, don’t worry, it’s cost you nothing. For me it’s a must-have entry on the Switch.
