Wow.... Just wow. I haven't been blown away by a game in a very long time. It's all the little things that truly make this an amazing achievement in modern gaming. Already I have experienced adventure, excitement, sadness, and horror. The writing is incredible; side quests and characters you actually give a damn about. This feels like a real world. Feels more fluid than Dragon Age Inquisition or Skyrim. A couple of things that annoy me is that the crafting system is still a bit too convoluted and swimming controls drive me insane. But in the grand scheme of things, these issues really are minor. Also I just meet the minimum requirements for this game, and surprisingly it runs fine, as long as most of the Post Processing effects are off, and graphics are set to Low or Medium. While not exact perfection, this is as close as it gets.

Not a great port, but Square is updating those issues with a few patches. December they will patch the game to support 1080p and graphics settings. Game now runs fine for me after the first patch so I have no performance issues. In regards to how FFXIII fares itself, it can be hit and miss. The story is mediocre, but the battle system and the endgame on Gran Pulse is great fun. I've spent 40 hours on the initial story and 20+ hours on the endgame and counting. It is basically a grind though for the most part as you'll basically go from battle to battle with very little to distract you. As a recent JRPG, it's a good game, but as a Final Fantasy it's quite disappointing.

Great world, great music, great atmosphere. Too easy to level, dungeons aren't difficult, rep grinding should be done in dungeons, NOT by grinding mobs, no endgame yet

What seems like a cheap cash-in at first is actually a great, fun, and enjoyable racing game that really holds up against great kart racers like Mario Kart. Lots of content, modes, and unlockables, and a great soundtrack. Driving feels like Mario Kart, flying feels like Starfox 64, and riding the waves feels like Waverace. The tracks change depending on the lap you are on and utilise all of these functions. Wish more of my friends owned this game for the craziness that is the multiplayer. If you enjoy arcade kart racing, you owe yourself to check this out.

This game really caters to a niche and is certainly not for everybody. A main city acts as your hub as you venture off into instanced linear environments on very standard and sometimes lengthy quests. Very reminiscent of Monster Hunter, but in setup alone. The combat can feel clunky and isn't as satisfying as it should be. I really hope the LoA devs continue to improve and expand on the game because there is a lot of potential here, it is just yet to be realised.
