Takedown: Red Sabre0

Junk. This publisher just prays on people and makes empty promises they never even attempt to fulfill. This is an absolute BOMB! No attempt was made to make a good game. They released a half finished pile of dung and then abandoned it.

Probably one of the biggest let downs in a while. The vision for the game was great. It's a shame the execution was so poorly done. Sloppy, hastily thrown together game. If it were F2P it might be worth a a few minutes of play but as a paid title it just disappoints. there are only ever about 10-15 players online and spawning is almost always a guaranteed instant spawn death. Ridiculous.

Simply AWESOME. A true back to basics shooter. Very tactical. I played through early Alpha all the way to release and have been very impressed with the devs and the progression of the game. A ton of thought has gone into the layout and feel of the game. 10 out of 10 from me. I can't stop playing.

State of Decay8

I was VERY surprised by State Of Decay. It came out of nowhere and seemed like it was destined to be another bad rushed to PC console port. Was I ever wrong. While the graphics aren't amazing and it is definitely a rushed to PC console port (it went from Alpha to full release in about a week as soon as they figured out how to add keyboard support), there is something amazing in the game. The style of game play and the interactions are awesome. It has all the best features of any modern zombie survival game but also has the great story line similar to The Walking Dead. The homebase feature and exploration give you a sense of almost playing a tower defense slash crafting game. it is just pure fun.

Let me start by saying I wanted this to be as different as possible from the other cookie cutter shooters currently out there. It does achieve that with some revolutionary "ideas". Unfortunately it is the delivery on those ideas that fall short. It's hard to place this game in a genre as it is somewhere between a run and gun COD style and a Global Agenda hit point style game. As much as I wanted to love it the game feels off from the start and never seems to get comfortable. Hopefully other designers will take the ideas from this game and build something that plays as good as it sounds on paper. It gets a mixed rating from me. If it played as good as it sounded on paper I would have given a positive review. The opposite is true in that If it didn't have some fresh new ideas I would have given it a negative review based on the gameplay alone.
