A pretty dull shoot 'em up that may be better if you can get a few others to join in... though good luck in convincing anyone else to buy this uninspired title that only looks like its vastly superior old school counterparts in the screenshots.

I'm so glad I borrowed and didn't buy this. *Uninspiring* would probably sum this game up best, as the awful map game graphics suddenly become pretty excellent for the fights... which are then incredibly boring. I don't know why the whole fight sequence isn't skippable like Fire Emblem or Advance Wars - that at least would have sped up the battles. So how does it play? Well, you have some robots on the screen and they then have to beat up/destroy the enemy robots, in a Fire Emblem fashion, only, more robots appear out of thin air instead of letting you just win the damn level, and when it's finally over, the story pushes you from one battle to the next, without giving any reason for you to actually care what's going on. The fact that you change sides during the game at the developer's whim serves only to further agitate, as you'll go from kicking butt with Bumblebee in one level, to having to kill/beat him down in the next. I can honestly only recommend players to avoid this insipid waste of time and play something with at least a little heart.

A fun game! Think of Castlevania on the DS and that is what this game is, only it doesn't quite hit the same heights as those classics... but it is ninja turtles, and who doesn't like to beat up baddies with their favourite turtle?

You tap out very simple picture puzzles for a €2 price tag. What's really more to say? Any more expensive and its rating would plummet, as it's an okay time-killer that doesn't really offer any challenge but is more enjoyable than doing the washing-up.

Games like this really aren't for everybody, but if you are into this kind of thing, you'll most likely love it - I know I do! Basically, you capture/breed demons and enter into various dungeons to, well, pretty much kill things. Yes, there's a story - and I was suprised at its depth and how well it's written - but the real appeal comes in training and capturing/creating more and more powerful demons - it's kind of like a "dark" version of Pokemon. Fantastic.

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D

Pretty much a shameless cash-in on the Resident Evil brand, The Mercenaries sees you take on one boring mission after the next, with no story and not a whole lot of point. I love the Resident Evil games, but this is just so bland that if it truly was designed as some kind of fan service, it fails miserably.

While it doesn't seem fair to compare this to the golden memories of Guardian Heroes, with nigh-on identical game-play, it's impossible not to. Unfortunately, the latter was incredibly immersive with excellent level designs, whereas Code of Princess opts to go for very short, time-attack levels. For me, that was the main difference, and CoP is difficult at first not to instantly dismiss because of each level's simplicity - some levels you'll beat in 30 seconds! Yes, the difficulty could definitely have been made more challenging - even an 8 year old can whizz through this pretty much without setback. Fortunately - and most likely because you have fond memories of Guardian Heroes and hope this will be even half as good - sticking with the game is rewarding: there's a massive library of characters to unlock for Free Play and the story is slightly different given which of the 4 main characters you play with (who can be switched between levels, so need to senselessly repeat them all). In the end though, anyone who has played Guardian Heroes will feel a tad disappointed, but newcomers should enjoy it regardless... it's just debatable as to whether or not the pick-up/put-down quick levels are great for kids born to a generation of an increasingly short attention span, or a grumble for those who actually like sinking some real time into a fun gaming experience.

The game's a con. The bunny is just after your kids' money - money that you put into their account to buy REAL games with! We also have a 2DS and none of the badges stick to the desktop! We've tried everything, but they just ping back into the little collection/display box as soon as the stylus is lifted from the image. Yes, granted, if it were a free "game" it may give the kids something extra to do, but they're coaxed by a cute little pink rabbit into wasting money on - wait for it - PICTURES. I honestly could not recommend this title to anyone. The abhorrent loading times when switching the "game" on should be a red flag for the what's to come.
