This game must have received a lot of patches and updates since the release and I am fortunate enough to have discovered it just now. The game is superb and does a great job making me come back for more. I really enjoy open world games with focus on interesting stories, have noticeable character progression and allow you to revisit challenging situations when better prepared. Days Gone checks all the boxes for me and the experience is almost on par with what I got from RDR2. Highly recommended to anyone who likes open-world games and a post-apocalyptic zombie genre.

I got the game a long time after its initial release so I'm going to pass all of the bugs and developer issues. The game is quite entertaining and fun with certain criteria being met. You have friends that will play the game with you. Playing this game solo seems a bit boring and pointless in the long run. You don't mind dying. Losing everything you have gathered in the long hours after just a few gunshots is something you will face often. You don't mind that there's a huge shop that gives the players advantage if they are willing to pay real mone. You enjoy games that require you to spend a lot of time to collect items and achieve small victories. Personally I meet all the above so it's a 7 from me. I spent a lot of time having fun with a few friends, scavenging and fooling around. Keep in mind my opinion doesn't include all the shady things the dev did along with the initial hacker/bug issues.

The game was supposed to be great, one of the first greenlit games and it showed a lot of promise. There were A LOT of features supposed to be added along with the overall completion of the game. After the initial release the devs abandoned the project because they have felt 'burnt out'. For me as a customer this is unacceptable and I'm done waiting. It's a 2 because the game did provide me with a few entertaining gameplays but that won't make me forget what was promised and remains undelivered.

I have spent a lot of time playing this game. Even though it's made by a small indie dev team it's quite great, the graphics are well done and the gameplay is amazing. Haven't yet seen a game updated so often and regularly. Every few weeks there's new content added and any emerging bugs fixed nearly instantly. The only thing that seems missing is the tutorial but if you're into this genre then you'll work out everything fast on your own. Definitely a 10 for me.
