Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear1

I understand a lot of people are taking exception to the "SJW" agenda perceived in the game. The problem is I've heard some gamers use "SJW" and "leftist" almost interchangeably. Well I want to clear something up: I'm a leftist, I am an actual leftist and despise SJWs and their divisive, self-righteous, identity politics laden, petty bourgeois rhetoric. Just thought I'd point this out because I don't want people to associate true left-wing politics with little crybaby liberals, and I certainly don't want the political left associated with this awful, awful game. That is all.

Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing10
Aug 18, 2014
Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing is, simply put, the greatest video game ever made. I could talk for an eternity and still fall short of doing this amazing game justice. I can only lament the fact that a "10" is the highest available score, yet I take comfort in the fact that I am privileged to stand in awe of it's greatness for all time. Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing blows every other video game out of the water and stands head and shoulders above the rest as the undisputed video game event of a lifetime.

First time playing it, it reminds me of Half Life in terms of graphics. But the more I play it, the more I realize just how deep this experience is. They don't make games like this, anymore. Highly recommended. 10 out of 10.

The Elder Scrolls Online10

This game is amazing. The graphics are not quite at Skyrim quality, but the scope is far bigger. Everything is out in the open, it seems. There are massive corridors with excellent architecture, and the lands are varied and massive. The game world is incredibly big, and there are tons, and tons, and tons of quest in every single region. The gameplay is excellent, too. The combat is surprisingly deep for an MMO and Elder Scrolls game, and the possible builds are truly endless. While you start off with a race and one of four classes (which may not seem like much to choose from at first), it soon becomes apparent that those are just basic templates that can be molded at will. The amount of variation and customization available as you build your character is impressive. The crafting system is deep, as well. Overall, this is an excellent game with a lot more content on the way. Highly recommended.

Might & Magic X: Legacy10

There is nothing I can say that would do this game justice. It is amazing in every respect - a true love letter to rpg veterans of days long past. It hearkens back to the glory days of western computer role-playing, and does so with a fresh coat of paint and much needed gameplay tweaks that make this the most accessible game in the series to date. If you are a fan of old-school computer role-playing that doesn't hold your hand, purchase this game now. It is worthy of the Might and Magic brand in every way.

Excellent game, and a SPOT ON portrayal of the communists. I know that a lot of russians take exception to their dark and terrible history, in which they have NOTHING to be proud of and EVERYTHING to be shamed of, but they should not expect the rest of the world to indulge in that fantasy. Even many russian youth are embracing far-right activity, as they know full well how evil and wrong communism is on so many levels. Kudos to the developers for creating such a wonderful game that ACCURATELY portrays the commies for what they were.

How can anyone give this game anything less than a 10? I will be the first to admit that this is my very first experience with a rogue-like, let alone a rogue-like RTS space sim, but I am having more fun with this Indie game than I have had with AAA titles. This is such an amazing concept and the replayability is endless. I can't recommend this title enough. You have heard it said, "Buy this if you are a fan of *insert*, or a gamer in general". Well I say, "Buy this if you are a human being". That may sound silly, but it really is that good.

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria10
Jun 25, 2013
World of Warcraft, without a doubt, is the most successful MMORPG of all time. Even it's most ravenous of critics can't help but admit this. One thing they refuse to admit, however, is why it is the most successful. It is the most successful MMO of all time for a reason. A very good reason. The presentation is top-notch, the level of immersion is second to none, and the user-interface is the best I've ever seen in an RPG, period. What is does, it does so well, and it's addicting and all consuming in all the right ways for all the right reasons. Mists of Pandaria breathes new life into a true classic. It aptly demonstrates that WoW is far from done. In fact, it comes darn close to boasting more subscribers than all of it's major competitors put together. Folks, there's a reason for that. And not the reasons the haters think. WoW is excellent. Many of those who like to hate on WoW are spoiled, self-entitled, whiny little bi**hes. No one listens. No one cares. They are most likely anti-corportate, also. They have a natural inclination to hate on big publishers. They are fools, you see. Don't listen to the idiots drivel. WoW is as good today as it was in the WotLK era. In fact, it's still just as strong. Most of the subscriptions lost are from Asia; in the West, WoW is as popular as ever. Don't take my word for it check the queue times on at least half a dozen of WoW's top realms. It's packed tight and there is a reason for that. Needless to say, when you do get in, it is well worth the wait. World of Warcraft is head and shoulders above the rest. It stands alone as the greatest massively multiplayer game in video game history. Mists of Pandaria is merely a continuation of that.

Shovsoft, I know you are a small, one man developer - so if you happen to be reading this, I want to tell you what a splendid job you did. I am in awe of this game - it's greatness and it's simplicity (after learning it) is unrivaled in the flight-sim genre. I haven't had this much fun playing big budget studio sims, let alone small indie releases. If a big shot publisher (Microsoft Studios, for instance) hasn't picked up the rights to this yet, something is seriously wrong. You should be given a fat check for this license, whilst receiving funding to hire your own design team and bring this to the mainstream. This game is incredible. Simply incredible.

If you are playing with, for instance, a dual core CPU - 2GB RAM - and a Radeon 5650 (or even worse), or gaming on some crappy non-gaming laptop, you DO NOT have a good PC, and guess what? You have exactly NO right to **** and moan and vote this wonderful game a zero, just because you don't have the hardware. They have Xbox 360's and PS3's for people just like you, and your opinion matters not. But, however, everyone with a quad-core CPU, 4GB RAM or better, and a Radeon 6970 or better certainly have the ability to experience this game for what it is, excellent. Also, if you are too stupid to get the game working right, shut your mouth. I am NOT referring to PC gamers who have a legimitate gripe with the game (like it appearing to be consolized (which mods fix). No, just the butthurt losers with crappy so-called "rigs" who expect developers to make it so they can max every game at 60fps - I have a 6970 crossfire and even I can't max every game at 60fps. Now, with that said, let me state that this game is probably the best game to come around in the last 10 years. Yes, it's that good. I highly recommend it, and the PC version at that. It's amazing. That is all.

I downloaded the demo because the game was on sale (Steam), but didn't get around to playing it until two days later (with the game no longer on sale). Nonetheless, I had to have it then and there. I am not upset that I didn't get it on sale, because this game is worth every penny ($10) of what I paid for it. The best way I can describe it is to imagine a cross between Geometry Wars and Zuma's Revenge - with a touch of Every Extend thrown in for good measure. It is a unique shooter experience unlike any other. It really is it's own game, and a game that any self-respecting shooter/puzzle fan should own.

Borderlands 210
Nov 25, 2012
Steam had a sale today so I went ahead and picked this game up for half-price. I was not a fan of the original, but thought I would take a chance as I have grown a bit bored of Diablo 3 and didn't really like Torchlight 2. So far I am totally impressed. I plan to add more to my review later and possibly adjust the score. As of now, the things that stick out in this game are... 1. Better visuals than the first game, albeit slightly. With details cranked to maximum Borderlands 2 (a DX9 game) is surprisingly one of the prettiest on the market, thanks in large part to an impressive art-style. 2. Story. Unlike in the first game, players have a very real objective and a very real enemy from the moment the game starts. This is an improvement over the first game, as it's always important to get the player involved early in the story. 3. Gunplay is extremely satisfying. Aiming down the sights, shooting from the hip - however you go about it, the gameplay in Borderlands 2 is very intense and very satisfying. The enemies are tenacious, and are intelligent enough to dodge gunfire and predict your movements. 4. Rewarding. The game rewards the players with a non-stop barrage of usable weapons and loot. This is a refreshing change of pace for someone coming over from Diablo 3. 5. Well optimized. This game is not very demanding and can be played on max settings without being too greedy with system resources. Just about any mid-range machine can play this game to it's fullest potential, and it runs like a dream. As I said before, I will add more as I play more. But I can already tell that Borderlands 2 is something very special.

Half-Life 210
Nov 2, 2012
This is the greatest video game ever made. As someone who has been a fan of Half Life 2 for years, I have never really quit playing it - although I have taken some pretty big breaks in between. It is during my current playthrough that I decided to come write a short review on Metacritic to describe just how I feel about this game. I am sure there isn't a reputable gamer alive that isn't fully aware of Half Life 2 and the hype surrounding it. And as beloved as it is, I would still so far as to say that this game is one of the most underrated games of all time. How can a game that is widely considered by many as the greatest shooter to date, and even still by others (such as myself) as the greatest video game period, be underrated? As difficult that would be to explain, it's equally difficult attempting to convey just how great this game is in so short of space. Indeed, the fact that a game so good can be so under appreciated is something that has baffled me for quite a time. In my humble opinion, no amount of praise or appreciation for Half Life 2 would suffice. What Valve has created is simply a work of art. The visuals, sound, gameplay, and storytelling are of among the best the gaming world had ever seen. It's incredible just how amazing and groundbreaking was every facet of Half Life 2, in respect to the time it was released, and even more incredible that each groundbreaking aspect was all in the same game. The game that literally had it all. The Beatles of the PC gaming world. The fact that Half Life 2 can still be played today, 8 years later, and can be every bit as impressive as modern shooters (more, in some instances), truly testifies to just how great this game is. This is truly the greatest game ever made.

DOOM 3 BFG Edition10
Oct 21, 2012
While I understand that a lot of people are angry that this game is essentially the same game that was released in 2004 (and without major changes), I highly question whether or not most of these user reviews are from true customers or just a bunch of butthurt communists angry that ID Software is making money on Doom 3 again. With that said, I would be reluctant to recommend this version to someone who already owns all the Doom games. However, for someone who doesn't own Doom 3 and/or the early Doom games, Doom 3 BFG is an excellent choice. I guess whether or not one can give this game a good review depends entirely on whether or not they liked Doom 3 - which the Doom community is split down the middle on. I loved Doom 3 - and I love this game. The extra content and improved lighting make Doom 3 BFG a great deal. About the only thing that keeps me from giving this game a perfect 10 is the fact that it currently lacks mod support - so all of the great Doom 3 mods cannot be enjoyed with this version - yet. That is apt to change soon, however, it's still somewhat of a bummer that these mods can't be used immediately. I am still awarding it a perfect 10, however, just to counter the butthurt communists.

Well, to all the people whining about lack of offline play, I really think it is **** to give a game the lowest possible score for one or two issues. My internet connection is stellar, and I don't mind being online. As for the lack of skill points, people need to quit looking at Diablo 2 with nostalgia glasses. The new way is so much better, and emphasizes the things that make Diablo Diablo. The in-depth rune system is amazing, the graphics are excellent, and the gameplay is top-notch. This is the Diablo game I've been waiting for. People are fickle. I have no respect for the ****. 11 out of 10.

Some people are so stupid. Sure, Rage isn't the best game on the market. And it does have it's faults. But, it is at the very least a good game. Yes, when it was released it had quite a few problems. But all of the bugs have been addressed; the game has been patched multiple times since it's release and plays wonderfully for the most part. If it's not working for you now, it's either because you're stupid, your PC ****, or both. I don't have any trouble running the game with my i5 2500k and two 6970s crossfired. I get well over 60fps maxed, and it looks great. The shooting is fantastic. The ballistics engine is lifelike and satisfying. The graphics do look fantastic, although there can be some pop-in from time to time. The story is somewhat forgettable, as is to be expected of this type of game. Well, not so much the story, but the story telling. Going from NPC to NPC running fetch quests can and does get a little old. I will say this about Rage: the story's plot is actually pretty good. The opening sequence of the game is one of the most beautiful and moving openings that I have seen in a while. This game really has a lot going for it. Probably it's biggest strength, even in spite of all of it's shortcomings, is the it's just an absolute blast to play. Wow. Look at all of those 0 scores below. Are you people really that stupid? Look at what the reviewers scored it at on average. That is more like it. And you wonder why game developers NEVER listen to fans. You have no credibility. You're fickle. You are all fickle. Rage, a 0? It is idiots like you that bring down the average score. Instead of being fair, you morons give the game a 0. Why? Because you want your review to make a difference, by God!!! Little pathetic punks. I thought about giving Rage a 10, because in light of all of these false reviews, it needs all of that help it can get. But you know what? I won't. Then I wouldn't be better than you, for I know that reviews should be fair, based on a rational mind. 8.5/10

Resident Evil: Revelations10
Mar 1, 2012
I cannot begin to describe how epic this game is. I was reluctant to purchase this game. The last Resident Evil I owned was Resident Evil 4. I didn't really like the direction that the series had taken; Resident Evil 2 was my favorite game in the series, and I preferred the old school presentation and control of all the Resident Evils that came before 4. However, after the way everyone was raving about this game, I decided to take a chance. I was at gamestop with $45 in my pocket, and it wasn't easy to take that chance. I wanted to spend that money on other things, but I said to myself, "No, I will take a chance." I had played the demo and it was good. But it did not compare nor did it prepare me for what was about to be unleashed upon me. I got home and was hesitant to even remove the shrink wrap. I went online and read some last second reviews. I liked what I heard, and decided to take a chance. I. am. so. glad. I. did. I remember taking the little pairing knife out of the drawer and removing the shrink wrap; opening up the case; popping out the 3DS game; putting it into my 3DS; OH MY!!! This game looks like an Xbox 360 game. I am not being kind to it. Let me say it again. It looks like an Xbox 360 game. It does. Period. And that is with the 3D off. Turn it on, and it is one of the best looking games that I have seen, and I also game on a PC with dual 6970s, just so you know. And the gameplay? It is an absolute blast to play. It has 3 different control methods. With one, you move and turn, and hold the shoulder button to strafe. With another, you move and strafe and press a button to turn. And with the third, you can move with the left stick but control the camera and aim with the face buttons. I actually prefer the latter, and it controls even better with the circle pad pro - but guess what? You don't need it, at least not the way you did for MGS 3D. The game plays fine without it. This game looks amazing. This game plays amazing. This game is hard. This game is fun. This game is an epic, once in lifetime masterpiece. I am shocked that is hasn't gotten 10's across the board. 11/10.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater9
Feb 22, 2012
Let me start by saying that I have been a fan of Metal Gear Solid for about 10 years, having played all of them. Sons of Liberty was my first, and favorite. It busted my Metal Gear cherry, and it has been one big orgasmic love affair since. Needless to say, I had this game reserved and was at Gamestop when it opened today. This game is great. The most impressive aspect of MGS 3D is undoubtedly the visuals. When Edge magazine gave their review and claimed that it, "looked better than the HD collection", I was skeptical of their claim. After playing the demo, I wasn't exactly what you would call "impressed". But after getting my hands on and sinking my teeth into the retail release, I definitely see where they are coming from. The game not only looks great, but it runs great. The frame rate problems I was expecting after playing the demo are literally nonexistent. This is Metal Gear Solid 3 as pretty as it's ever been, remade from the ground up. Anyone who tells you otherwise is wrong, plain and simple. Don't take my word for it, see for yourself. Now unfortunately, this is when I have to point out that the score I gave was for the review of MGS 3D using the Circle Pad Plus. With the Circle Pad Plus, the game is as tight as it's ever been - which is saying a lot. Being able to sneak about while crouched, as well as the added gyroscope functionality, really enhance what is already picture perfect gameplay and controls. While you retain those 3DS enhancements when not using the Circle Pad Pro, the controls take a nosedive, and the gameplay suffers terribly in the process. Using the face buttons to aim have never felt clunkier. You haven't experienced a gameplay disaster quite like trying to battle Ocelot or The Fear using the face buttons for aiming and camera control. In fact, I would go so far as to call the game broken without the Circle Pad Pro (which you can order from Nintendo's website or pick up from gamestop). So with all the above said, let me go ahead and give you two different scores for the game, and encourage you to wait on this game until you possess this most needed, must have peripheral. With Circle Pad Pro - 9.25/10 - the definitive MGS 3 experience. Without the Circle Pad Pro - 5.0/10 - utterly broken
