This is two-thirds ****. The graphics and newscaster banter are greatly improved on the original in most places, but it feels like they were trying to develop a pay as you go system to pay for further enhancements that just never happened. The AI is fantastic as long as they're playing a team that doesn't need to pass or do anything remotely tricky. AI is hard to get right, but in this case they just try to form a cage (which always gets great approval from the voiceover) and go straight down the field. The cheerleaders are embarrassing and soulless, much of the game is unexplained, and your opponents keep pace with your point level in the various cups etc. The original blood bowl was a much better game.
