Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars6
Feb 15, 2024
Neptunia x Senran Kagura Nijnja Wars is an extremely mediocre hack and slash Action RPG that lacks the soul and charm of both of the franchises this game contains. I don't know why the user score of this game is an 8.2 when it's not good enough for that. At best it's a 6-7 out of 10 and at worst it's a 5. Reused assets up the wazoo, repetitive mission structure, bland combat and uninteresting story hurt any value the game might've had: if you have to get this game, get it on a deep sale. It's not worth $50. The game is cheaply made on a shoe-string budget and it shows. Music is ok but really forgettable, the voicing is alright but lack of an English Dub might be a turn-off for some (like myself) people due to the comedic nature of the game. While the PC Version is the best one: it's still an extremely mediocre game no matter what platform you play it one. I've played it on PS4/PC.

The Switch Version is the worse one due to the weaker hardware, meaning more slowdown and issues compared to the PS4 and PC Versions.

Kingdom Hearts III6

The gameplay is nice but I'm gonna be honest: 13 years ago I was super excited especially after clearing Kingdom Hearts II, but as time went on that excitement turned to indifference. I was 30 years old when it came out and I didn't feel as interested as I was when I was 16 going 17. It just came too late. Sure there were other titles in the middle but all I wanted was KH3. The story is still a lot of horse donkey and halfway through I stopped giving a s*** and that's a problem in an Rpg when the story is trash, to begin with. Oh well. It's a classic case of too little too late.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night9
Sep 8, 2019
A Metroidvania title true to form for the modern generation without having to re-release a game from back then. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for the PS4 is a treat to the eyes and a blast to play through and if you loved SOTN, you'll love this one, just don't get the Switch Version, that port is absolute garbage.

The story is the strongest part of the game and I absolutely love it but unfortunately, the same can't be said for the gameplay. I want to give it a higher rating but I'd be lying to myself because the difficulty is utterly laughable and the enemies are a complete joke and provide no challenge other than being mooks that you whack with a weapon to get stronger to whack stronger mooks and being spoiled by Kingdom Hearts 3 is also why I can't give it higher than a 7. If you're in it for the story, there's a really good one but if for the gameplay, play Kingdom Hearts 3 or Devil May Cry 5 instead: all are Hack and Slash Titles like this one but miles better than this one.
