Chronicles of Teddy: Harmony of Exidus10

Definitely a mix between Zelda 2 on NES, Metroid/Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest, and Fez. It gels well and makes you think with the musical aspect. So far pretty fun

This is absolutely one of my favorite games. The first in the series I've played but the game is so fluid, so beautiful, the music fills you with tears. The story compels you and confuses you and resolves you. My only negative is the last boss... I won't go into detail but it's serious business. I platinum-ed I loved it so much.

Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax9

I'm not a big fighting game person. I've played a little of Skullgirls and before Street Fighter 2 on SNES. I just don't like how many combos each different character has, takes a long time to memorize them so I've always stayed away from the fighting game genre. Although with Dengeki Bunko I had to compromise since I loved so many of these characters in anime. I had also read that the combo system was made to be simple for beginners and those who didn't dive too much into the Fighting Game genre but also have some depth to it. I'm writing this review to say what they said is true. Pretty much everyone's combo is the same pattern, although they each do something different but for the most part the down-forward combo is almost always a ranged type of attack and the down-reverse combo is some sort of defensive/back away and attack combo. I like that because I can switch to all my favorite characters and know the gist of what I need to play them. There is more combos then that and depth, specifically the support system is has a lot of depth, there are so many combinations it would take a while to figure out what would work with your playstyle. Overall a super fun game and a relatively easy game to platinum if you're into that like I am. (I'm not there yet) - The story is not really a story, but the dream duels is where you get fun little scripted dialogue with the fan service you want. The game modes are wide and vast, something for everyone for sure and lots of ways to customize and unlock with your favorite characters. Even if you're not good at Fighting Games or a fan of them, if you like the characters you'll like this game and it's very easy to pick up and play once you learn the several combos there are, you can switch between characters without having to relearn everything, just some things.

I'm with the others, I bought this because of hype and it looked like a lot of fun, the challenge, the scenery, the 'story'. Being my first souls game I've found my reason why I stayed away. I agree with many that I'm not sure why it is difficult just for the sake of difficult. Wiping on a boss over and over again is not bad, making progress like that is fun! Going and grinding a level or two, I can get down with that, I love classic RPG's like that! But... Repeating the same thing over and over again when you die? running back far away to the next destination where you've already died 10 times! And killing the same thing over and over again and then having no potions or 'money' to buy anything to help you once you get to the destination? Those are my gripes and they are not fun! The game shouldn't be 50 hours because you're repeating the same thing for 40 hours, it should be 50 hours because the game actually has true RPG depth, like story telling, character progression, side stories. Bloodborne has so many awesome things done right in an action/adventure RPG but it is vastly hindered by repetition and forced one way game play... If there actually was a save feature this game would be 10 hours, if that. How is that good? These 'Souls' games have SO much potential but it's drowned out by a poor definition of what 'Challenging' means.

I think this game does not warrant the poor reviews it's getting because people don't know how to work the internet, port forwarding, and their router/firewall. The easiest thing to do is download Tunngle (similar to Hamachi) and play with a bunch of other people over LAN. It worked instantly for my friend and I. Pro: I have played through the single-player and Coop single-player campaign and loved it. I do not think the melee is clunky or awkward at all. It takes a kind of skill to do melee combat, just because you're not good does not mean the game ****. I enjoy fantasy stories, I love the story of this game. Very simple in the beginning and deeper towards the end. I like the personality of the main characters and their snippy remarks, it adds character depth which you can see the developers wanted to do. I bought the game on a whim and really like what the developers were trying to do. I buy games to support the developers and the movement to which what I want to see the direction of the industry go. It is a fun Linear game, I like linear, it's foolish to think that just because a game is Linear that it has no depth and it ****. Each game is intended to please a different type of gamer, not all gamers. And this one does the niche, linear Action/Adventure small RPG elements - BIG coop options and map editor - very well. There are few games like this one out and I commend the company for making it. CON: Price was to steep for this game. I do think $30 would be more appropriate, though I split it with a buddy of mine and $25 each is fine for LAN playing and you only need 1 CD for LAN ~Tinye
