Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker6
Jan 20, 2015
Treasure Tracker it's one very polished puzzle game from EAD Tokyo. Its strongest point lies in its visuals, it's simply much better visually than even its big brother Super Mario 3D World. It's a game made to put a smile in your face every time you see it. Aside from that though, there's nothing much else to say about it: gameplay is really repetitive and there's zero challenge, making for a game with a questionable 40 dollars price.

Shovel Knight8
Jan 2, 2015
The best aspect of Shovel Knight it's the tight controls, they are excellent and you feel powerful every time you control your character. Level design it's very nice, with a lot of references of NES games, especially Mega Man and Castlevania. Speaking of that, Shovel Knight resembles also that era with its visuals, although I would say that sometimes it can look like a very early SNES title, it looks awesome. Soundtrack it's stunning, with a lot of catchy tunes, stuff that even the best NES games are characterized for. Despite of this goodness, Shovel Knight it's a bit short. For experienced users in the platform genre, it shouldn't take more than 3 and a half hours to complete it, not enough for me, and for its 15 dollar target price, it can't be the perfect deal. Replayability it's there until you get all the upgrades, although you can play a new file in New Game +. I won't deny though that it's excellent for speedrunning.

Art of Balance7
Jan 2, 2015
It's a nice puzzle game, even being addictive. Levels in Arcade mode are very simple in the beginning, but then some of them may take a good bunch of your time. Depending on your patience, and whether you like this kind of games, you may be able to finish all the worlds, but after that, there's nothing much to do. It's also a very good looking game, though the lack of anti-aliasing on shapes can underwhelm your experience. Resistance mode is fun and this is the key feature for competitive players or those ones looking for a challenge. Local multiplayer can be fun for a night. In the end of the day, Art of Balance it's a fun, casual well made game, accessible for anyone.

FIFA Soccer 135
Dec 4, 2014
I consider myself a fan of soccer games, and I know that FIFA 13 for Wii U it's not good enough, even compared to their cousins versions on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Gamepad functionality feels forced, frame rate it's atrocious, Manager Mode is laughable and online multiplayer is dead, literally. What it has however, it's ok to waste your time one hour a day.

The Letter (2014)1
Dec 4, 2014
Even at 50 cents, The Letter's existence can't be justified. There's just nothing to do, see or even interact in here, not even the controls are polished here, the camera moves backwards, at least for us who are right handed, the biggest portion in the market, definitely. This alone it's more than enough to prove that The Letter it's not a good place to waste time.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist7
Dec 4, 2014
Those ones who expect to see the classic Splinter Cell gameplay scenes in Blacklist might be disappointed, but what it does it's still enough and enjoyable. Upgrading Sam Fisher's equipment should keep your attention for a good while and all the possiblities to advance through the game are very cool, like passing unnoticed throughout the enemy scene or just killing everybody. It's fun. However, Blacklist, and at least on its Wii U version, has a good bunch of loading screens, which can last even minutes. This alone can ruin the experience.

Bayonetta 210
Dec 4, 2014
The amount of action available in Bayonetta 2 is endless, very fun to play and there's even a lot of satisfaction by just beating a single chapter; the enemy design it's gorgeous and the overall presentation of the game it's more appealing than that one of the original Bayonetta, it feels more alive and thrilling, and fits very well with the personality of **** game is very accessible for those ones who are just trying to have a good time and doesn't disappoint for those ones who want to surpass their levels Bayonetta 2 it's the closest Wii U game to reach the level of perfection in terms of enjoyability. If you have a Wii U or either plan to get one, make sure this game enters in your library.

Darksiders II7
Oct 30, 2014
There's a great combat system here, fast and addictive and customization is great. These points make Darksiders II a good game, but you may find tedious the puzzle and and underwhelming technical (frame rate, screen tearing) sides of it.

Bayonetta9
Oct 30, 2014
Expect tons of good action, humor and a wild woman, Bayonetta offers an incredible experience for those ones who are lookinf for fast paced action on Wii U. Sometimes you can't advance in your playthrough because you want to make justice to the incredible combat system that this game has. One of the best in the Wii U catalog definitely.

Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition8

Switch Force! is inventive and fun to play. The switch mechanic may be annoying, the game too short, but the whole package it's just too good to ignore. Good music, brain breaking and something more await you here.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II7

Really, nothing more than a solid Call of Duty game. With the same addicting online multiplayer, underwhelming campaign and more focus in online. If you remember the original Modern Warfare, then you know what Black Ops II is about.

Child of Light9
Oct 27, 2014
Child of Light doesn't do anything outstanding, it's very conservative to be fair, the RPG combat remains the same throughout the 15 hour game. There's an important lack of side quest missions, weak upgrading, a cliché and unsatisfying story, and a horrible narrative. However, the art style, which resembles Romanticism and Impressionism from the 18th century, as well of gorgeous music save it from disaster. Those two things alone deserve a fifteen dollar purchase.

Mutant Mudds Deluxe5
Oct 27, 2014
Trying to finish Mutant Mudds Deluxe wasn't fun at all. Maybe because the game is too slow and it doesn't really change throughout the levels, just the difficult. The game does very little to keep your attention. There's even a time when it becomes boring to watch. Its concept however, still delivers the necessary.

Batman: Arkham City - Armored Edition7
Oct 27, 2014
Like good drama, Arkham City feels absolutely real, thanks mainly to the IP itself, but what Rocksteady has achieved it's relevant as well, offering to us one of the best action games of the last decade... when speaking of the good versions, something that the Wii U one isn't. Unstable frame rate, bugs and stuttering make Arkham City unsatisfying on Wii U.

Assassin's Creed III7
Oct 27, 2014
Assassin's Creed III has some very notorious flaws, the most obvious one is the tedious and boring it can be. The whole Assassin's Creed experience is here, with some interesting themes from the American Revolution, but the lack of interesting things to do, lots of bugs and other annoying things are just disappointing. Even so, Assassin's Creed doesn't fail to give you 20 good hours of gameplay.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag8
Oct 27, 2014
Black Flag has one very real world, all thanks to the freedom brought by ships, which can be fully customized and are able to assault other ones. This is the most interesting part of Black Flag, as you can do this for 100 and not getting bored. However, land-based missions may not be as solid as other Assassin's Creed games.

Pikmin 39
Oct 27, 2014
Pikmin 3 is the best in the series, and while it doesn't offer the same quantity of content as Pikmin did, it certainly looks for the entertainment of a wide variety of players, with its classic and redefined combat system, strategic nature and amusing art direction. However, ugly textures in some strict points (like the ground), and not very precise control schemes, may be the only inconveniences with Pikmin 3.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD8
Oct 27, 2014
An excellent combat system is Wind Waker's biggest strength, offering tactical and precise fights with a very nice variety of enemies. Gorgeous design and overall interesting puzzles are abundant as well, but you may be patient with the very tedious sailing mechanic, which is very important in this game.
