The first thing I need to tell every one to do is to play the game on Extreme difficulty, that is when this game shines. It's too easy on the lower difficulty levels. Play it on Extreme with no mini map and the game really comes alive and becomes really immersive. Not only that, but it makes the survival, crafting and gear score elements to the game actually have meaning... they have no meaning on lower difficulty because it's too easy. On Extreme mode you can't go in guns blazing, you'll quickly get over run and die. On Extreme you really have to pre-plan and recon each "compound" you're infiltrating before you head in. This game is pure fun to play, the guns feel satisfying to use, the graphics are beautiful on PS4 Pro, the "grind" feels rewarding and not a chore. Playing co-op with friends and even Randoms elevates the game to another level. Microtransactions, honestly, unless you actively look for them you wouldn't even know that they're in the game. They're pointless to buy anyway. They give nobody an unfair advantage whether that be PVE or PVP... I don't agree with MTX in games, especially ones that are Pay To Win, but the ones where they're purely cosmetic items or things you can get by just playing the game then I really couldn't care less whether they're in the game or not - because I'm not stupid enough to buy them. There are a few minor bugs, things like the distance on the objective marker would disappear, once my drone wouldn't deploy, little things like that where restarting the game fixed the problem. Nothing game breaking. The PVP is fun, however it's only best of 3 rounds so the games don't last long, that wouldn't be a problem but the loading screens in between rounds and games are really long, so you can often spend more time watching the loading screen than actually playing! It's even more annoying when someone leaves mid game. Really good game, can't stop playing it, I'm perplexed by the bad reviews, I really am. Like I said, if you want to experience the game at it's best, play it on Extreme difficulty, it'll feel more immersive, more of a challenge and all of the crafting, survival and gear score elements are no longer redundant like they are on the lower difficulties.

Played this last night for a few hours on my PS4Pro, I think it's really good, I'll list what I like and dislike below; Likes: + I like that you can aim down sights. + I like the fact that your parachute jump location is random each time. + I like the that the only way to get the best weapons is from supply drops/crates, this creates a "rat race" to a supply drop when you see one incoming from the air.. It keeps the action flowing nicely, it means players can't just sit in a bush/building hiding all game while the rest of the participants take each other out. + The aim assist isn't as strong as Fortnite + Can pick up head armor and body armor, If you take a headshot wearing head armor, your head armor will deplete before your health does, same for body armor. It's a nice touch. You see someone wearing head armor but no body armor, you wanna shoot them in the chest and not the head so there health goes down straight away. Dislikes: - The aiming down sights needs tuning, it can feel a bit floaty at times, you either aim too far left or too far right, needs to be more responsive/fluid. - The graphics aren't amazing, and everything is a bit bland / dull looking. - Switching weapons isn't efficient enough, you can press a button to switch weapons, or hold down the button for a radial wheel, the problem is, if you only press the change weapon button, you can't see which weapon you're switching to until it's switched. The only way to see which weapons you're holding is via the radial wheel (unlike Fortnite where all your weapons are displayed in the bottom right corner, so you know how many times you need to press the switch weapon button to get to that weapon). It's got me killed a few times where I've been frantically trying to switch to my shotgun close quarters but I've pressed the switch weapon button too many times not knowing which slot the shotgun is in. - As far as I can see, you can only tell which weapons are better by their colour (White, Green, Blue, Purple etc) .. I may be wrong but I can't see any stats on the weapons to show DPS, Range, Reload Speed etc.. so it makes it difficult to tell whether you're swapping a weapon for a better or worse one. I prefer this to Fortnite because it's more raw and realistic. The game is no where near perfect, needs a lot of tweaks, especially with the aiming mechanics, they feel a bit janky at the moment when aiming down sights, but for what this game is, I think it's worth a 7.5. If they iron out quite a few things I'd definitely be giving 9 (for what it is).

A former Destiny 1 Player, Reviewing this from a 4K TV on PS4 Pro. I can't score this more than a 5 for the below reasons; 1) The game only runs at 30 frames per second. It feels choppy, sluggish, unresponsive at times. The turn speed cap on the game is horrendous, if someone jumps behind you, it's a nightmare to do a 180 and shoot them. (Games like Battlefield, COD, Overwatch, Lawbreakers to name but a few examples, all feel incredibly smoother game play wise compared to Destiny - the decision to go 4K @ 30FPS is the wrong one in my opinion, especially as it doesn't benefit the players who do not have 4K TV's or PS4 Pro yet. Instead, the game should either run at 1080p @ 60FPS, or if you have a PS4 Pro & 4K TV, you can turn the FPS down to 30FPS and run the game at 4K if you would like that option - myself personally, I prefer smoother gameplay, lesser graphics, ESPECIALLY on first person shooters where aiming is of such importance) 2) The aim assist is possibly the strongest I've ever experienced on any FPS game, it feels like it's practically aiming for you. I put this down to the low frames per second, because the game doesn't run smoothly enough, if they took away the aim assist, you wouldn't be able to aim with any meaningful precision. 3) There aren't enough new enemies, there are new planets, but they're not much different from the Destiny 1 planets, they just have different names. 4) The story campaign is poor. People who say "Well the story is much better than Destiny 1" .. Well, yes, that;s true, but that's because Destiny 1 didn't have any story, it doesn't change the fact that Destiny 2's story is poor just because it's better than Destiny 1's non-existent story. The last boss fight on Destiny 2 is one massive anti-climax. The Good: The guns feel great to use, the sounds, the impacts, the music is brilliant, the quality of life improvements are much appreciated (such as not having to return to orbit to travel to where you want to go next) All in all though, I am bored of the game already and I don't enjoy playing it because of the 4 reasons I stated above. I was burnt out on Destiny 1, I couldn't handle going from smooth games such as Overwatch & BF1 back to the sluggish, slow, choppy feeling of Destiny, it just feels horrible like I am playing a PS3 game. I think Destiny 2 has improved in some areas, and got worse in others, it's all a matter of opinion what you prefer. As Destiny 2 isn't different enough from Destiny 1 for me, it just feels like I am playing the same game all over again from the beginning but with slightly improved graphics and quality of life improvements.

Brilliant. I am hooked. The last Resident Evil game I played was RES 5 on the Playstation 3, needless to say, I found it to be awful. RE:R2 Episode 1 is the complete opposite, right from the first moment I was immersed, the graphics are nice, the characters are interesting, the story so far is good and the ending to episode 1 made me say out loud "Oooh my god, you can't leave it like that !" - I'm dying for Episode 2 to come out now. The game is super smooth, and it is very creepy if you have the lights turned off and the volume cranked up. The game made me jump several times. Also there is a game mode called Raid Mode which I dipped my toes into, it's great fun, you have to go from point A to B but on your way there are waves of Zombies you have to take out in order to progress to the end. As you progress you level up, get new gear, weapons, etc. As you progress the waves become harder and more challenging. Currently the RAID mode has no online co-op, but the game does state that online co-op for RAID Mode will be a feature in a future update/patch. The single player also has no online co-op, but you can play it co-op local split screen. However, I would suggest the first time you play this game to play it on your own, in the dark, with the volume up to a reasonable level, take the game slow and don't speed run through it, and enjoy every minute of it. A Solid 8/10 for Episode 1. This is my first review on METACRITIC, if you like then please hit the Yes button on "Helpful?" I would much appreciate any feedback as I'd like to do more of these :-)
