If you think for a moment you might like this game, then just buy it. This game is a masterpiece! I played Fusion growing up, and the only reason I think it is better than this game is strictly nostalgia. Metroid Dread is superior in all other metrics. Is it challenging? Yes. But the bosses are never unfair, you just have to be patient and learn how to beat them. Also, it’s impossible to get soft locked. Just FYI

Incredible game so far! I have maybe 6 hours into the game, and there is still so much for me to learn and explore. I feel like in terms of the loot system, I have barely scratched the surface. I am starting to put together the pieces and see the true potential in terms of min maxing and optimizing your character, all of the different play styles you can play within a single character. The combat is satisfying and I am super excited to to play more of it! Yes, the servers have had some issues, and there are some performance issues with stuttering on PC, BUT this is not a Cyberpunk level issue in terms of bugs, and there is no lack-of-content issue like in Anthem. This is the real deal in terms of gameplay and content, we just have to be patient and hope that Square Enix, NOT the developers, can fix the servers soon.

This game is truly something special. I did play this as a kid, and maybe it's just nostalgia, but damn I love this game. It's fun, it has a simple story, but a touching one at that. It's honestly a real tear jerker. The new artwork is INCREDIBLE, and even 15 years later, Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team and this 2020 remaster is one of my all time favorite games. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
