In the last year I have played and beaten Elden Ring, GoW Ragnarok, and Horizon FW - this game is as good as they are on every level - even more so if you’re a fan of the Harry Potter Universe. Incredible visuals and details, solid story (so far), and a really fun combat system. My only gripe is that I can’t sit in the chairs just to relax and take it all in! This game exceeded my expectations in a very big way! Easy 10!

Okay game, enjoy playing with the kids. Solo map gets tiring, needs faster updates or have more map options. Grass, trees, hill, house, water, repeat.

30 hours in and there is lots to like about this game. It is visually stunning and the creativity/world building is 10/10. The whole experience is not perfect though. The game play is nowhere near as enjoyable as God of War or Ghosts of Tsushima. It feels laborious - more like going to work than taking time off. It is a game built for masochists - those who love extreme challenge - both in skill and in solving puzzles. I'm not sure a casual gamer (without a guide or some Google searches) could get through this game. I can see why professional gamers and reviewers love this game, but anyone who can't commit full time will not. I am not against the difficulty (I don't agree with not having a story mode) but a creator can do as they like, it is their world. It does take away from the experience though for many, including myself. I don't want to spend an hour unable to beat a boss only to give up and go farm runes for another couple of hours so my characters level matches my ability. The feeling of success is not worth it for me. I am also dismayed at the little character customization that is available. I played the astrologer character. I would love more options for my weapons and gear, in 30 hours I've gotten two outfits that I can't make any meaningful customization too and I had to go find a mid game staff in some poisonous swamp to have any chance against bosses. Looking up astrologer outfits, the first cool one is about mid game which I'm guessing I will never see. If you like weapon and outfit choice, choose a melee character with lots of strength and endurance. I beat both God of War and Ghosts of Tsushima - in both games I felt god-like. I felt strong and able. I do not feel this way with Elden Ring. I feel stressed, and overworked. The bit of a rush I got beating Pumpkin head or Margit was not worth the time I put in to do so. The experience is worth seeing but unless you are a committed gamer, I'd suggest waiting for God of War Ragnarok. If you really want to try this game, give Bloodborne a quick try to see what playing at this type of difficulty feels like. I know for a fact that many will feel disappointment after buying this game without reading reviews. The feeling when you beat a hard boss is great, but it is also awful if it ends the game for you because you simply cannot. Great game, that is not for the casual gamer. With GoW and GoT offering story modes/difficulty options, I am disappointed that this is not offered with Elden Ring considering how much money and time was put into this game.

The world of Bloodborne is so good. Loved the atmosphere and game aesthetics. I enjoyed the games difficulty right up to the bosses. I can't stress enough how much these bosses take away from the game for people who don't play all the time. I went about 20 hours into this game, frustratingly beat several bosses and then finally gave up at around the 20% mark . Difficult gameplay can be enjoyable, especially in a setting like Bloodborne, but unbeatable bosses make the game exhausting and tiresome (Nioh is another example). I'm not saying to remove the bosses at all - it would be nice for a 'boss skip button' for those of us who want to just play the levels or a story mode. Allowing some of us to choose to play on easy takes nothing away from those who love a challenge. Great game hampered by grueling bosses that take the enjoyment right out of it.

One of the best Mario games made! As always with Mario games, this one is super creative and enjoyable to play. It also feels new and fresh! How Nintendo keeps making games with the same character and keeping people interested is beyond talent. A great case study for any other studios who keep retreading the same old formulas. The only thing keeping this from being a 10 for me is that some of the level design were too realistic - the game felt super uneven. Mario needs to be cartoony and abstract. The first level and the last several levels were the best ones!

Excellent game on the PS4! Played on a 10' projection screen and it was an awesome experience. Loved every part of it, the atmosphere, the gameplay, the level designs, all of it was so good. This is game you can play over and over again - can't wait for the next one!

I am one of the lucky ones. I played this game in my twenties when it first came out on the N64. I knew very little about it before playing and it was one of the greatest gaming experiences I have ever had. I was totally absorbed in it and played as much as could until I beat it. OoT revolutionized the entire gaming industry and I can happily say I was there when it happened. For those who haven't played it, I'd say don't. Wait until the remaster comes out (if it ever does). No matter how awesome a game was back in '99, it most likely will not meet your expectations after reading all of these reviews - unless you have a penchant for old games. However, if Nintendo does a remaster, make sure you are first in line for it! From story, to puzzles, to dungeons, to music, this game had it all. It gave all of us a look at where the gaming industry could go and I am thankful I had the opportunity to be in the right place at the right time!

I liked this game, I didn't love it. After about 20 hours, I started getting bored with it. The opening story, the main character, and the world building was great. I don't know if it was the games aesthetics or the amount you had to do, but after a time I struggled to stay interested. As a casual gamer, it all just became too much with little reason to carry on. Better story and more diverse world would have gone a long way to getting this game to a 10 for me.

Every bit as great as Breath of the Wild and God of War! One of the best game purchases I’ve made, this game is so good. I can’t wait to get back playing it after I put it down, the game really draws you in. I love that you can rest and relax in some of the most beautiful gaming environments ever created. I also really appreciate that you can choose stealth or open combat in most situations. Both systems are fantastic and rewarding. I hope we get a sequel and I hope **** Punch doesn’t change up the mechanics too much. This game really balances what I want out ****, which is some customization (not too much like Nioh), fantastic World building (1st in its class), fun and exciting combat (like God of War), and a continuation of the realistic Samurai experience without otherworldly creatures. My top 3 all time game list - 1.Breath of the Wild **** of War 3.Ghosts of Tsushima Thanks **** Punch!!

I was happy to come across this Samurai gem on the PS4. I really enjoyed the combat and game mechanics, and world building was top notch. I absolutely hated the boss format. A hard game is fine, but unbeatable bosses take away from the whole experience for me. The inventory system was a nightmare too. I spent more time working on my stats then I ever wanted too. Brilliant game that desperately needs a story mode. When games are this hard, I think its great that it provides hardcore gamers the challenge they are looking for, however I believe a large majority of us though would like a "boss skip" button.

God of War10
Sep 7, 2021
I am hesitant to give this game a 10 as it is missing some key elements to a God of War game. However it was just too brilliant **** to not too. The story was fantastic, the world building was first class, and the combat systems were God like. It is such a good game on its own terms! However, i would have preferred Kratos on his own. Atreus was a nice addition for combat, but having him always there was off putting for me. Kratos and the head swinging at his side would have been enough for me. I also would have enjoyed a bit more adult content (I'll leave it at that). This review is late, so I'm not sure it will sway anyone, but if you haven't played, you must! Just don't expect (all of) the same things you got out of the first games in the franchise.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild10

I started to believe that I would never have the same gaming experience as I did with Ocarina of time on the N64 all those years ago, and I also was a big skeptic of an 'open world' Zelda game - Breath of the Wild blew me away on both fronts. Excellent experience, one you do not want to miss out on! Great job Nintendo!

The game is beautiful, but the game play and its mechanics were terrible. I did not enjoy this game whatsoever. After 8 hours, I deleted it from my library. I was really looking forward to a good Western experience, but I think I got something more akin to reality, slow, dull, and short lived.
