Yet another disgustingly shabby console port by FS. - Resolution capped at 1080p - Hideously bad textures (playstation 2 lvl bad) - Fugly 2D backdrops resembling that of a SNES game. - Forced mouse acceleration - Input prompts and UI are for XBOX not PC. - Extremely bad character models - Console UI - No UI scaling - Does in no way improve upon the first DS game both technically or aesthetically. + I got a Refund The game itself could be good, I don't know, I spent my first hour trying to comprehend how terrible this port is and looking for ways to fix it. But don't let all that bother you, it hasn't in the past right? Just keep throwing your money on the ever growing fire that's ruining the potential greatness of this franchise and PC games in general. Why make a good game when you can spend no effort on insulting and blatantly lazy console ports that casuals (people with no standards or expectations) gobble up and worship anyway. This right here is the reason 95% of games these days are trash. Stick it up your A-hole From. Copy/Paste of my Steam review.

Played FO3 - 2,000+ hours (mostly FWE + MMM) Played FNV - 800 hours (mostly modded) Saw preview of FO4 - Looked like watered down console dregs Did I buy it - Nope! Did I even play it - Nope! Do I know what it would be like to cut my balls off - yes That's why I don't do it. Come on people, stop fueling the downfall of PC gaming. Really it's the user's fault we are expected to like this crap just the same as it is the greedy developers for making the crap. STOP BUYING OBVIOUS $HIT OR GET YOU REFUNDS - FIX THE INDUSTRY!

Simply put this game lacks Soul and souls, but it is essentially a Dark souls game with far less items, far less lore and far "more" detachment from the game world. Instead of filling the void and thirst to interact more intimately with the obscure worlds and possibly more obscure characters, FromSoftware just widened the void even further to make the experience even more linear and just focused on combat alone. Gone is the fun and excitement of finding all types of fun weapons and discovering their unique move-sets and special abilities- gone is the prospect of finding cool hidden treasures and armors- gone are the choices and forks that could lead you into multiple new areas- gone is the dynamic that let you stumble upon foes out of your league to risk all for great treasure, making the whole affair more like a on-rails action game, rather than a deep and interesting interactive world. Without items, lore or interesting personalities, my drive to continue this journey wanes, as I feel like another ant following the same one-directional crumb trail everyone else is, that will inevitably see my doing the same mundane thing. My complaint is not what the game is, but rather what it is not, or more accurately what it could have been. I just feel like From could have done much more with this and skimped on a lot of goodies that made their other games great. Fighting and dying is great when you have a skill based combat system, but the lack of soul and depth of the game world doesn't interest me, there's no gravity at all. Probably won't see many similar reviews as this one and if all you want to do is bash demons and werewolves in the face all day I can understand why.

Initially fun, but soon shows itself for the broken POS that it is. Disgraceful optimization issues Terrible latency issues Horrid dungeon *mentor* system Only one thing to do all day long (zerg pvp) Pretty bad P2W model Becomes incredibly boring after just 2 weeks of play Arch age is dead now so who cares. I stopped playing with 90 days credit left from my pre-order, it's that bad. RIP and good riddance!

I honestly don't even know why we have a Critics review section anymore, only the most gullible, naive person would take their (paid) reviews seriously. They are just contributing to the downfall of PC gaming while getting fat off of endorsing any product for loootz. Seriously I don't have any respect for any game journalist out there. The Consumer is the voice of reason and always has been. I bought DA:I yesterday (off Origin of course) because they release only a tiny portion of boxed copies locally, forcing people to go through Origin where they can charge whatever they want because of exclusivity. I paid $80 AUD for a game that's been out of months (for a Digital copy) Now usually I don't care how much a game is as long as it's quality, but DA:I is anything but. I was extremely excited to play this, having fallen in love with DA:O - (DA:2 not so much) The initial excitement lasted just past the character creation screen where it was crushed by the inevitable realization that this was another brain-dead console port. The first kick in the teeth was the stupid un-intuitive console inventory, then my disappointment worsened when I saw there's only two slots for armor (really? two!) no belts, no gloves, no rings, no greaves, no boots, no jewelry ? - way to make a dumb game even dumber and more shallow. Then there's the complete garbage skill trees, that were so generic and lack-luster I stood there for 10 minutes deciding do I want this crap ability or this other crap ability. Skipping that, I clicked on the Behaviors tab, not to my surprise, the items didn't even fit on the page so I couldn't even read them. The Graphics- This is 2015 folks, the graphical quality in DA:I meet the absolute minimum standards for this generation of gaming. It's not an ugly game, but for this generation, I expect much better and in turn much better optimization. I've got the best hardware money can buy and I managed 40-70 fps on max, that is terrible optimization for these average graphics. To top all that off, there is a horrible mouse acceleration issue that makes the camera stagger and jitter which feels incredibly bad. No amount of tweaking the sensitivity and smoothing made it go away. More remnants of the lazy console port. Lastly, the combat is not fun, It takes me about 10 seconds to locate my damn cursor due to it being the size of an ant, and without any passive animation to give it away, I then start shooting enemies like my staff is a Gatling gun of sorts while my team "blink" around like idiots and everything quickly looks like a giant orgy, all the while I have 4 guys on me as a mage and they can't take aggro off me due to getting stuck on terrain, so I have to run at the pace of a sloth until they get their **** together. The animations are bad, the effects are something you would expect from a 1999 RPG, and the path-finding is crap also making combat in general very unsatisfying. Lucky I am able to get a refund for this POS. RIP Dragon age. (probably not thanks to console casuals gobbling this crap up)

TEW ranks pretty highly as one of the worst PC ports ever made. Not a bad game, but it wreaks of console exclusive feature sets and restrictive linear systems, not to mention the game plays like utter tripe. Looks like Bethesda have joined the ranks of developers that don't give a toss about PC gamers. They put minimal effort into porting this, to the point you need to use cracked executables and other third-party tools just to get the game to run properly. It's has horrible PC optimization- FPS in many areas can be as low as 20 fps using an overclocked i7-3770k and 2 x GTX-980 Strix cards. There is no support for widescreen aspect ratios, even with the console hack. You have to use Flawless widescreen to run at fullscreen. Controls are terrible, you can't bind keys properly and there is extremely bad mouse lag in menus/inventory, very frustrating. The control system itself is clunky and your character bumbles and staggers around, it's made strictly for a gamepad. I bought it on sale and I still feel ripped off, but more importantly I feel like i'm being treated like a gullible fool by the developer. We PC gamers are just an afterthought, yet we pay full prices for these sloppy-seconds. If I could go back I would probably have just downloaded it.

How this even qualifies as a "Game" is beyond me. There is no challenge and no reward in this. You just press the W key until you run into enemies and mash the left mouse button. How can anyone feel a sense of reward from combat when it's the equivalent of holding a child at arms length. The enemies DON'T DO ANYTHING, they don't Block, they don't Parry, they Don't Dodge. The combat is for **** - you can literally just win this whole game by mashing one button. I took on a boss Orc and he just stood there like a **** while I whaled on him over and over and over again. When I killed him I was like really ... *Turns game off" WTF is the point seriously. The game also runs like crap for the assets it has. I'm getting 40-50FPS at 1440p with 980 SLI - the game doesn't even have good graphics. Would have given it an 8 if the combat wasn't braindead.

An interesting and unique RPG/RTS where it's fun is only paralelled by it's failures. First of all, the game runs horribly on almost any machine. Not optimized at all. The concepts behind the game are great, but little can be said about the execution. Disregarding the terrible performance issues, characters actions are very clunky and rough. It's missing many mechanics that are needed to conform to it's structure, particularly RPG elements, in that respect it feels unfinished. The game is very suggestive about the type of game it wants to be, but has no content to back it up, which could leave you being frustrated with it. The already implimented mechanics behave randomly and you will be getting into trouble for no apparent reason. My main character was tending to his Farms when theives attacked, I retaliated and defended my property for which I was repremanded and taken to court for defending myself and my possessions. The only form of policing is some gaurds that do not bother with such issues, so without any security you must defend yourself and you will be punished for that. In fact the law system is so backwards that you will most likely spend half of the game in court or in jail, even if you are a model citizen, which just breaks the game in its entirety. Some fun to be had, but don't expect it to last long. 52/100

Don't buy this game. I would rather be forced to do hard labor than play this game it's that boring and broken. If any credit could be given, it's to the one guy who voice acted at the start. I feel so cheated for having paid $4.00 for this I am just going to paste my Steam review under this. UI takes up 50% of the screen and no option to reduce it. Mini map and UI graphics look disgusting. There is no info, or tooltips on units. The game looks damn ugly. Very poor unit animation and movement is clunky as hell. They also move like snails. Fixed restrictive camera will drive you mad. The whole resource gathering mechanisms are horrendously simple and linear.

Relative to the time of release, DS2 for PC is somehow an even crappier port than its predecessor, It looks bad, it sounds bad and yep, it plays like utter **** Funny thing is I saw this coming a mile away, so of course I didn't buy it. A company that knew the original Dark souls was a pathetic excuse for a PC release NEVER BOTHERED TO PATCH IT!! After all this time, Of course they will treat PC gamers like idiots again for the sequel. Its the exact same deal this time around- What you pay for is the dregs of an average console game, that looks and plays like a ps2 game, even the sound is atrocious, I couldn't stand to play more than an hour of this insulting trash.

For a Low budget title, you won't get much better than this. It has imo the best grid-based combat system of any game which is really fun just by itself, but add great music, artwork and sound along with a heavily engaging story line and you get The banner Saga. The only drawbacks being some game mechanics haven't been fully implemented, which is a little confusing for a new player. TBS would benefit from a more open world design and/or a less linear progression system. With some additional game modes and systems to support them, this game could be worthy of a full 10.

As with most games these days, SOD is just another cheap and nasty console game being mass-marketed, but with absolutely no integrity at all as far as PC games are concerned. It's little more than leftover dregs of a very low budget console game. It has actually been released on PC with no Keyboard/Mouse support which is downright insulting, to make this lazy port even worse, the game has really bad forced mouse acceleration which makes playing with a Mouse impossible and infuriating. The graphics are reasonable for an indie game, but anyone with a keen eye can spot the inferiority of the textures, water caustics and animation, though its ugliness is well masked with excessive shadowing. The game mechanics don't offer any real challenge or substance thanks to the simple button-mash combat system and the monotony of tasks you perform. The UI is bad and unsurprisingly console orientated. All other aspects are trademarks of restrictive linear systems ported straight in from it's brain dead console counterpart. The days of buying PC titles that are fit for purpose when you pay for them are nearing an end.

Total War: Rome II0

As a massive fan of TW games I can honestly say this is the worst one by far. The UI is counter-intuitive, looks and feels sluggish and horrible. Much of the options and technical depth has been stripped away in favor of the more casual and/or brain dead gamer. Accessing important information involves you clicking on a bunch of crappy looking icons that all look the same, only to find out there is no information there anyway. The graphics, mainly on the campaign map, look muddy and with little detail where its needed and lots of detail where it's not. The cities look like they're made out of Play-doh both in battle and on the campaign map. Even on the highest settings troops blur into each other like someone stuck 3,000 men with swords into a blender. Performance is bad, and the game is not optimized well at all, the load times are long, And it often lags out for no apparent reason. The whole game over emphasizes on just the Romans, factions and troops all look and sound the same as the Romans, as well as sharing the same painful UI. The forced Flag system is just silly and a major annoyance. There are also hardly any open battles, it all just revolves around siege battles that all look and feel the same. The AI is incredibly dumb, predictable and glitchy, both in battle and on the campaign map. Also you have to set the game to maximum difficulty to get any real challenge, even then it doesn't make the AI smarter, it just changes unit stats in favor of the AI. It's a mass-marketed console orientated, dumbed-down, over-priced, half-finished mess, And whats more they release this game with a pre-release DLC which gives you (core) factions that should have already been included in the base game.

An atrocious game, And possibly one of the worst Ports in video game history. I could only stomach about 40 minutes of this trash until I wanted to throw my mouse at the wall. The graphics look like a Playstation 1 game, the sounds are repetitive and annoying, but the one thing that makes this game total garbage is the horrifying controls, most notably the forced Mouse Acceleration that makes aiming and navigating a complete disaster. Not only does it have the most **** Mouse Acceleration, but the mouse aiming will just glitch out and start sticking on different parts of the screen. An unplayable travesty ****. And to make matters worse, the devs still won't recognize or fix the horrible controls and mouse issues, which shows you how little they care. I couldn't play any more of this if someone was paying me. Stay well away from this abomination.
