A game that only got better as it went on. Great combat, and a phenomenal soundtrack. Even if the story wasn’t incredibly strong, everything else made up for it. This was a very memorable and fun experience

Pros: -Pawn system and many different vocations -Combat that feels epic at points -Great sense of adventure and exploration in the first half Cons: -Laughable story (never personally saw Disa during my playthrough) -Game feels like a chore to traverse through once you get to Battahl -A lot of repetitive encounters -Lacks replay value after beating it Game does not hold your hand at all as far as what to do during quests which is a gift and a curse but overall I enjoyed that aspect. This might be the best 7.5/10 game I’ve ever played

I think this is a very decent entry point for a lot of people who have never played a YS game before. -Great music (Falcom staple) -Great story that unravels a mystery as the game goes on -Decent variety of bosses -Enjoyed the main cast (and castaways) -Fun, fast paced action that’s easy to pick up -Loved the colorful setting which featured a nice variety of locations -Graphically it might turn certain people off but gameplay and being fun is the most important thing

As far as Indie games go, this is up there with one of the best ones I’ve played in recent memory. I enjoyed the charm of this game so much I wanted to give a review as recognition for a very decent job by the incredibly small team that worked on this. Pros: -Decent ambiance -Unique combat system -Likable characters with depth to their personalities with decent backstories -Puzzles & Non combat sections to break up monotony of constant enemy encounters in Dungeons -The cultivation of relationship bonds needed to upgrade main character Cons: -Small budget holds the game back from being GREAT -Not enough to do as far as spending your free time and it will get old maybe after halfway in -Too many days wasted for no reason (for example there could be an event one day which is shown through one scene, and then the game will fast forward the calendar by 3-5 days) -Although the combat is somewhat unique due to you having to build up a meter to fight most enemies, this makes combat incredibly tedious during the back half. Combat also felt very annoying when fighting multiple enemies at once due to the perfect dodge mechanic being so integral to the gameplay Overall: This is a decent game for fans of JRPGs and dating sim type games. It draws a lot of comparisons to persona but it’s nowhere near as good as a persona game. BUT I only feel like that because of the budget. Theres great potential here that doesn’t get fully realized because of the cheaper production value but I appreciate the effort. 7.5/10
