Separate Ways is about as good as a story DLC can get when we look at those linear (non-RPG) kind of game. In my opinion, the only DLC better than Separate Ways might be The Last of Us: Left Behind when we are speaking about this kind of content.
While the OG Separate Ways always felt like an asset flip for me, even when I was a kid. But this 2023 version... That's how it is done. Loved it! Capcom nailed it again.
I wrote a 3000 character analysis that was lost due to a website error when uploading. Fantastic (maybe it's my fault for writing it straight here, anyway). Starfield isn't as good as my favorite games from Bethesda Game Studios (which, in my opinion, are 10/10) but still is a good game sometimes. At first, I was just going to test the game on PC and play it for real in a year's time (as a genuine Bethesda fan, I know full well that their games get substantially better after patches and expansions) - but the experience that I had it good enough that I kept playing. At the time I write this, already have more than 150 hours in the game and I'm on NG+ 10. That, however, doesn’t mean the game is perfect. In fact, it have a lot o flaws. Some of them are: 1 - the combat on the spaceship is bad;
2 - there is no plausible explanation for a game being limited to 30 fps on a current console (Series X) and the mere idea of having to play Starfield in first person mode at 30 fps gives me motion sickness. Fortunately, I play on PC;
3 - although the game has considerably fewer bugs than previous Bethesda releases, some still occurred to me. The most annoying thing was when I stored my weapons in a rack on my ship and they simply disappeared later, causing me to lose an hour of gameplay. I could have got around this problem using console commands (and I seriously thought about it), but in the end this lost hour of gameplay wasn't that significant. That said, the simple fact that I wasn't outright compelled to use the console to solve some problem is still a nice achievement for a Bethesda game at launch;
4 - as for the number of planets, Bethesda bet on quantity rather than quality. No meaning having "more than a thousand planets" to explore if a considerable part of them have absolutely nothing interesting to do. It would have been much better if they had chosen to give us a smaller amount of explorable planets, but that these were more meaningful and not surrounded by invisible walls;
5 - They made a mistake saying that in the game you travel through space. It would be right to say that you FAST TRAVEL through space. As someone who has always avoided using fast travel at the beginning of games, I found it quite annoying to be forced into this practice early on here. You only do things with fast travel in this game, there isn't even the option of trying to go on your own; So, why do I make a point of listing these flaws? Simple, I believe that part of them can be corrected (or at least mitigated) with patches and expansions. The game isn't perfect, it's not as good as Skyrim or Oblivion, but it is, right now, a 7/10ish for me. You’re not missing anything by giving it a try if you have a Game Pass subscription. Just go for it.
I don't really think it would be fair to give this game a lower score than 5 because, at least for me, Ubisoft games usually works flawlessly. They are technically great if I'm being honest. But everything else is not. I dropped this one halfway through, the plot was horrid, no memorable characters and there's even a alligator with clothes, totally braindead game. Not even Giancarlo Despacito was enough to keep me playing. As a latin american, the only thing in the whole game (besides its technicall prowess) done right was the rooster fight. Feels sad.
Decided to play it because Remnant 2 looked rad, and I really liked it. It is a soulslike/looter shooter that, while no being the best of either genre, still really compelling. I do recommend it!
That is really a medium game. Nothing more than that. The game looks very good and the plot is kinda OK (although I didn't like the ending and what it means at all), but the gameplay itself... It was disappointing. Bloober Team itself made some comparisons to Silent Hill back in the day, and I ended up thinking this would be a survival horror game, instead of a walking simulator with basically no combat.
Best XBOX first party in the whole 8th generation. That is not too good, if I'm being honest, but Gears 5 itself is a great game. I really hope that Gears 6 can improve what we saw here as much as Gears 5 improved on Gears 4.
Gears of War 4 never manages to reach the heights the original trilogy did. That being said, it was one of the few saving graces for XBOX in the 8th generation. Good game, as Gears always is. Bad difficulty scalling, as Gears always have, that old story.
I liked it. Gears of War has always been the most interesting XBOX franchise for me, and I enjoy de plot and characters. That being said, this game is very trashy when we talk about the difficulty scalling. It is one of those where the enemies just turn itself to bullet sponges instead of delivering a pleasant challenge when you turn up the difficulty.
Good point and click game. I tried it because I liked Telltale games back in the day, and decided that I should play the oldschool ones. That being said, I didn't found Full Throttle to be that memorable.
That's a gorgeous game with a nice narrative, but I came to realize that "walking simulatores" are not my thing. That being said, it seems like The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a pretty good title for the genre.
That's a pretty nice game if you play it casually (check it every now and then with three more friends to see what is new and call it the day), but maybe not much more than that. I was "forced" to play it too much 'cause my sister had a serious case of addiction, and so I started to see the cracks... it can be really, really repetitive.
Pretty boring game. I played because Gmanlives made a video 5 years ago saying that was a good one, and I believed. Hope you don't do the same mistake, that one is not worth it at all.
Bad port of a mediocre game. I never got to really like any of the characters and there always something making me nuts while I played (like the fact that Monkey almost only jumps to preset locations, even if it makes no sense). Didn't like the ending neither.
That is really something! There was a time when LucasArts made games, and they were very interesting. Outlaws might just be one of my favourites from that bunch.
Back in the day those 4-player coop games where the tren, and Borderlands might just be one of the best. Not really my cup of tea though, found it kinda boring.
Great DLC! The sheer fact that they made this for a 5 year old game shows how much care goes to this content. If you like Cuphead, you should play The Delicious Last Course.
That one was pretty rad! Never forgot how badass this Dante guy was, and I even got to learn how to play Rungran (from the anime) on my guitar when I was younger. Anyway, hack n slash at its peak.
I liked this one! Me and my brother got to know Fable with this entry, and we really had fun with it. Don't really get why it is regarded as a bad game.
Good game, but I was hoping it was better. Got to know this franchise with Fable III and really like it, but then I heard Fable III was the worst in the bunch and maybe my expectations got too high. Most people like Fable 1 better than me, so you migh as well try it.
Yeah, that one made history and such, but I decided to play a few years ago and fortunately Rockstar had improved itself over the years. Don't see myself going back to this one again...
The parkour game with an asian chick. That one was something, even today the gameplay is pretty fluid. It is a little bit on the short side, but definitely worth playing.
Played it because every FPS youtuber I watch kept saying that was a great game. Well, it is not bad, but definitely not that good as well. I would rather play the 2017 Prey instead
I'm probably the only person I know who prefer Diablo 1, but D2 is pretty good still. The sheer fact that Diablo 2 Resurrected is one of the best ARPGs one can play today is a great showcase to how solid Diablo 2 mechanics were.
I really liked Diablo 1 when I first played it. A dark fantasy game with challenging gameplay and nice art? Sign me in. Nowadays FromSoftware is doing it better, but the OG Diablo 1 have its place in my memories.
I'm not a big fan of those Left 4 Dead style games but I was really expecting this one to be better. I completed all campaign set pieces 'cause the game looks good and such, but nothing to write home about.
This one got me looking at indie games from that day on. Simple and addictive gameplay, great soundtrack, and even a nice little plot. I absolutely recommend it.
That was a good one. Nice enough to make me interested in the Fables universe, and I think it was worth it just for that. Hope the sequel end up being even better!
I really like this one. Got two runs with pretty different endings, but I know that if Telltale ever made a sequence, they would just throw away everything i did anyway. Feels bad. Nice plot though.
That was the one where I started to notice that no matter what you do, you always end up in the same spot. I still like the narrative though. It is a simple but interesting game.
That was a great one. Is kind of a shame that any of the other Telltale games reached what they promised. No matter what you do in those games, you always end up seeing yourself in the same spot you would have been if you had made different choices.
