I mean, I’ve tried my best to find like ONE single good thing about this game. I really did! But in my 30 years as a gamer, I’ve never saw a more empty and lifeless game like this one. I’m just out of words… pure trash

WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers

Some good ideas, but very poor executed! The main thing with WUCHANG is that it haves some neat ideas and mechanics. Some really fun to explore (like the madness system with is a cool high risk, high reward mechanic). But besides that... the game is really mediocre in every aspect. Fist thing to know: No... the game is NOTHING like WuKong and the comparasing (besides the mythology and that is a chinese game) are plain stupid. WuKong is more of an Action Charather game, where this is a kinda classic Soulslike. The main problems with this game, besides his performance on PC and console (like... ffs... if you don't know how to use UE5, why the hell you're willing to do such a slop?), is that it takes all the bad thing in soulslike games and tries to adjust them... failing very hard. The interconnected open map, that tries to be much similar to DS1, is plain bad. Too many ramifications and not a single indication where the **** you should go for the main. Most of the time you'll spend your time asking yourself "Am I going in the right direction". I MEAN I GET IT... you try to be like DS1... but do it good. The fun part of that game's map was that was done in an fair way. Here... you just wonder around pointless most of the time, since the connections are stupid or just plain useless. The second point: the traps! FFS... Stop doing these things if you just put them in your game without a logic. Walkin' 2 meters and having a trap exploding in my face is maybe fun the first time... But when this **** repeats itself for 231294912 times in 1 hour, it becomes stupid! Also, the position of certain enemies and their agro needs to be studied, since not a single Soulslike I played used such dumb positions for they mobs. And don't get me wrong: the game is not difficult, since most of the mobs and bosses are kinda simple if you have some experience with this type of games. That's why these repeated ambushes and mobs spawning in weird places is just poor level design. The weapons: i like that most weapons have different skills... but the variety is very low ended. In 10 hours of gameplay i found like 4 weapons... That's kinda weak compared to other games. In conclusion: WUCHANG is a plain delusion. It has some potential, but is waisted with stupid level design and poor decisions that wanna emulate a little too much the classics (failing of course). If you wanna try it, just go for game pass or wait for a discount... Is not worth the 50 pricetag rn.

A very mediocre metroidvania. Some good ideas but the substance is too diluted to be worth your time. Out there, there is much more to play based on this genre. Just wait for a discount or skip it entierly. You won't lose much

The base game it was a very pleasant surprise, but this "DLC" is not that good. It doesn't add much to the base game and the little parts that add something are boring or very bad paced. The story is ok, but kinda a step back from the original game. The worst part is that the game fills unfinished with a lot of bugs, stutters and even crashes (on PS5 at least). In conclusion: Just play the base game and maybe wait for a discount on this one since it doesn't give you enough things to be valued at full price

TBH, the game isn't perfect and is not for sure a 10 out of 10. But the score is just do balance the user score since some reviews are really awfull or pure stupidity. No, the game is not a "cheap zelda knockout". It borrows many elements from old Zelda game, that is true. But every single element works as intendend. I can get it that most modern players are used to be held by their hands when playing, and it's ok. But don't pretend that in a game intended to use old school mechanics. Is not the game for you, but saying is a cheap ripoff of zelda (when probably most of you don't even played the original 2d zeldas) is just gratuitous hate. Tunic is a well made tribute to old 2d zelda games, where each element will help you understand more and progress in the game. It's not for sure an easy game, but it's not even a "hardcore elite" type game. The graphics are particular and remind a lot of the recent remake of Link's Awakening. Seeing the nature of the game I guess it does it's job. Good game to relax from bigger AAA titles. 8/10
