This game has a lot of potential and I might come back later to change the score I am assigning to it. However, it has been out for days now, with a lot of bugs that simply keep you from being able to progress at all, and it seems like the devs are not doing anything about it. The steam forums have an alarmingly high amount of complaints about such bugs, and today I was victim to one of those. The game always closes silently wihout any error messages whenever I finish the first chase stage. Not all people are affected by these bugs, and many will tell you that this is a fun game. But be warned, if you buy this game for PC, at this stage, you have a considerable chance of not being able to get past the first few stages. Good luck.

I initially fell in love with this game due to its graphics. Started playing with an Xbox controller, perfect gameplay... And then when the difficulty went insane (like a mix of old NES Yo! Noid and modern times Super Meat Boy), man was I in ecstasy! This is probably the best indie I've got in my Steam account (and I got about a hundred of them).

What impressed me most was the story, so well written. Seeing Lara grow from a scared and fragile little girl into an angry, ruthless hunter-killer is amazing. Also the way she recovers from every beating, every fall, every shot and broken bone. --- I was amazed by the graphics. I really thought that graphics this gorgeous would require more processing power, yet the game is surprisingly light. --- The only reason I'm not giving this one a ten is because of the irritating amount of scenes where you have partial control of the character, and have to push Lara foward Jurassic Park style. Such parts should be cutscenes, not playable scenes. That was a slight insult to the player's intelligence and do more to annoy than to advance the story.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown

This is a great, enjoyable turn-base tactical strategy game that's so fun to play, everybody who likes the genre should have it in their collection. So why just a seven? Because of the previous games of the series. No, I'm not hurt inside because of the changes in the mechanics. Far from it. I absolutely loved some of the new things, like the way the soldiers take cover and how orders are given. Every thing's fluid and the pace of the action is more pleasant than ever. It's just that **** such as Terror From the Deep (my favorite in the series) or X-Com: Apocalypse was released today even if in another setting, with a whole different story, by another company and going by another name, but keeping the mechanics it would make this iteration of Enemy Unknown stupid by comparison. It would be a more interesting game if the direction a soldier faces made a difference (in this new game, everybody has 360ΒΊ vision and can turn around at the speed of light). It would also be way better if you could order a soldier to kneel down or to lay low, balancing the need for mobility with the need for accuracy. Still, it is a good game, and one that any tactics, turn-based strategy fan will enjoy playing for hours.

Deadlight sets an incredible atmosphere that you just can't find in most other zombie themed games. If you really want to see how the apocalypse would be, this is it. The background of the protagonist is very rich and makes for a nice story. The playability is also great. Just try it, the game makes you feel like playing "just a little more", over and over. The only reason I'm not giving it a 10 is because of the quality of the animation. The character magnetizes to some key points of the scenery, and sometimes the movement doesn't seem natural or fluid. Otherwise, best game I've played in a long time.

It's very refreshing to see such a distinct game every now and then. In a market full of RTS and FPS games, a stealth one is very welcome. And I hadn't seen such a good one ever since Thief came out. So I bought it and have been playing for the last few days. It's already in my favorites in Steam. The level design is gracious and the art is wonderful and eye catching. Also loved the gameplay. The only reason I'm not giving it a 10 is because of the shallow, hollow story.

Diablo III

Diablo III would be a great game, if it weren't for a few problems. The fact that you have to be logged on to play being the worst among them. I can never get my latency better than around 350 milliseconds, which is crippling. I play many other games on many servers, usually with latencies ranging from 20 ms to 40 ms. Also, you have no control over your builds. Pick any two characters of the same class and level, and they'll be exactly the same. This is just terrible.

When it was released, it was called a "2D clone of Minecraft". However, as the updates came in, it started gaining its own personality. The pixel art is charming. The exploration and mining aspects of the game are addictive; this iss one game where mining isn't boring, but rather enthralling. Also, you can reshape your world, which is something many players will spend hours into. A great, well deserved 10 for this one.

This is Telltale's Jurassic Park all over again, only on a different setting. I'm also impressed by the suspicious amount of 10's around here. With Jurassic Park some Telltale employees confesses they were writing their own critics giving all 10's on this site. I wouldn't be surprised it such was the case again. Anyway, they have done away with the insane amount of QTE's from Jurassic Park, which is good. But a pretty poor story and very bad execution make for a game you will probably regret buying.

Do not let people tell you this is just a Left 4 Dead clone where the zombies have guns. Yes, this is a cooperative experience with up to four people loaded with guns. Unlike L4D, though, this one involves a lot more tactics. For example, you can order any civilians who are close by to lay low, and then you tie their hands behind their backs so they count as hostages. That will change the way the police deals with you (though they will still be trying to headshot you from afar). In the first mission I played, we had to free a felon who was being freed from prison - under a heavy stream of bullets from SWAT. The way the target is finally liberated from the scenario, just before you have to run away from the place, is... Epic, to say the least. I'm giving a 9 because the menus could be more intuitive, and it could have more explanation about the leveling system. But asides those, this game is a gem, and a must have.

The game doesn't shine in any aspects like graphics or soundtrack. The animation makes it seem like a rushed work. The story is OK for most of the game, but overall it's sub par. I won't give spoilers, but the (good) ending is so idiotic that it makes you want your money back. But the worst thing is the playability. It's sold like an adventure game, but there's less than a handful puzzles to solve, and they are so shallow as to be unchallenging even to an 8-years-old child. 99% of the time you'll just be doing Quick-Time-Events.
