overall, game is solid, but it could be way better. developers like couldnt specify if they want to make a action game, shooter, suirvival horror or adventure. final product is a mix of everything and it's not the best balance imo. there are some pretty good horror elements to build a atmosphere on it but suddenly everything goes into action and killing. like in dying light, soon you will find in situation that u're chasing the enemies for reward rather than hiding and avoiding. but then ammo is noiwehre to find at least first 75% of the game and you need to take stealth approach which is a little bit boring. you have a few nice weapons but munition is so rare to find. story is growing throughout the game and from slow start it's getting more and more thrilling . overall, it's a good game, not the best in genre but deffinitely not the worst. too bad they didnt put some more horror elements.

most overrated game in entire gaming history. this game is just a complete mess. ugly locations, huge map not worth exploring, respawning enemies on every outpost, superslow driving, annyoing weapon jamming, boring story, boring side quests. in 3 words, this game can be described as "boring as f**** " . back in the days, i've spent 10 hours just because it was "a new far cry game" and it got amazing reviews all over the internet, but the more you realize how many "payed" reviews has got a name all over it, you realize beneath a far cry 2 name it's one of the worst shooters i've ever played up to date. if you are nostalgic type of gamer and you like to play older games looking for a challenge, trust me, this one is not what you are looking for.

playing this in 2016 after finishing fc2, fc3 and fc4, i can say that this game was nicely upgraded over the years. still i found this game way better than fc2 which is probably worst in series. fc2 was boring, boring, boring and boring to hell. fc3 was boring boring, and finally fc4 was just boring. whoewer , fc1 1.4 patch on hardest level is providing really solid challenge with amazingly hard AI who can easily shot you through tents, covers and walls in general, but there are some parts where enemies are acting pretty normal tho, especially in closed areas. stealth element is completely useless as crouch/prone is made way too slow so basicly it takes ages to get to the checkpoint. story is in general terrible, animations are terrible, voice acting is terrible and ingame sound is terrible. i didnt try the game on easiy mode but the island is basicly useless to explore as enemies are waiting in numbers every few steps armored with machinegunes on the boats, snipers, rocket launcher equipped guys with unlimited ammo and so. so we can say game is quiet liner as there are no side quest or any secrets on the island. every weapon is unlocked after first few tasks so there's nothing to be explored further. no weapon upgrades, nothing. whoever, game itself is fun, shooting is simple, fluid, smooth and challenging. there are way way better old fps games who can provide much fair AI, better story, better graphich and more things to explore than this one. overall, this one is not su terrible shooter in general for 2004, but quality is far far away from games liike doom, fear older cod's and moh.

playing recently both deponia and chaos on deponia i can say that this one seem a little short and easy if we can compare to both previous releases. there were one or two points in the game i found myself stuck and randomly combining items but i manage to get through it usually after few attempts. instead of first 2 parts, in this one story is pushing you far more straight. i was kinda hoping ill enjoy in beautiful landscapes like in 2nd part (platipus puzzles and whole city was amazing) but there were just few locations actually hotel-ship-sewers- and -in_front_rebel_camp_place. game overall was pretty funny, a few references on previous games and some other (super mario, monkey island...) and jokes was on place (even if some people says the one with monkey is kinda racist but imo it was just fun). i didnt like that much idea with death and cloning but somehow that part was very quick. somehow i still feel (hope) this is not the end of entire series because final cut-scene isnt saying Rufus is dead, it was Cletus actually. At one point camera is showing very precisle the Elysium so am kinda expecting if there ever gonna be another realease (which i really hope) we can maybie start adventure on Elysium. There is deffinitely more to say in these game. respect

Finally some fresh air in gaming industry producing very atmospheric and intrigating adventure. Gameplay itself is a little bit repetitive killing same type of enemies over and over again but this is not type of game where some pure skills are required. It's just to keep you ''awake'' letting you know that danger is around there stalking your next move. Storyline tho is quiet amazing, deffinitely better than 90% of movies i've watched actually. Well, i need to add that Alan's pal Barry is one of the best characters ingame i've seen in a long time. When you heard him for first time you can get an idea that he's some egoistic manager who's keep calling Alan just because of moneymaking policy but as story goes on he's becoming a real friend who will die for you. His voice acting and the way he act overall reminds me somehow on Joe Pesci. : ) Overall it's a very very good product which doesnt require some crazy skill and storyline with it's atmosphere will get you after first 20 seconds.

It's really typical pnc adventure with really good humor and some funny references on famous games. Puzzles are good balanced and basicly all are made with some pure logic so i didnt stuck in open area clicking on everything and combining all items in inventory (well, maybie once or twice xD ) . Characters are really adoreable and funny. Only reason am giving 9 is fact that animations are in lower quality than ingame graphic. Great pnc adventure overall
