I'm a little late to the party but I beat this game recently because it was on sale on steam. I always wanted to play it on PS3 all those years ago but never got around to picking it up. I must say this game was pretty good! The gameplay was fun, invigorating, and challenging. It involved creating a pathway to the end of a high tower you build out of blocks by pulling them among other things. I love the pure freedom you have to shape Vincent's character and shape how the story goes. It's one of the better story games I've played in Video Game history really. I ended up having Vincent marry Katherine and seeing Katherine cry in the True Lover ending broke my heart. I really like the idea of the nightmares and how they can kill you in real life and no one in the real world can explain the deaths. It reminds me a lot of nightmare on elm street. Seeing Vincent go from meek to badass was great and was what I wanted for Vincent. Another thing I loved was you get to see what other first time players answered after each floor. Overall, if you like story-driven games, you should definitely play this game at least once.

A great modern new Mario game. It's a breath of fresh air to actually get a good one since Sunshine and Galaxy were just meh. This one brings back most of Mario's moves and maneuvers from Mario 64 with some new added features that make him control so damn well in this one. The story was decent, but who plays Mario games for the story amirite? The boss fights were fun and most of the worlds were awesome. A couple uninspired and boring ones but I can look past them. Another thing I don't like however is how many power moons feels shoehorned into this game. In Mario 64, there was always a puzzle or platforming challenge needed to obtain the star and 100% it. In this one, most of them feel like filler to stretch the game out longer than it actually is. Other than the cons, this game does put a smile on anyone's face especially when you reach New Donk City which is my favorite part of the game. There are still lots of things to have fun in this one. If you own a switch and haven't played it then get on it!

Being e remake of Fire Emblem Gaiden, the second game in the series and only released in Japan at the time, Intelligent Systems knocks it out of the park again with an excellent remake and an excellent Fire Emblem game. People might crucify me on this one but I like it way more than Awakening. I do respect and love Awakening however since it saved Intelligent Systems from going bankrupt which means this franchise would have died right after Awakening. The music is again excellent in this one, and it once again fits the narrative very well. The story was also excellent as well. It had some nice twists I didn't see coming, and I grew very attached to Alm and Celica. Alm's story arc and character development were absolutely epic and the change in music in the later acts make the late game a masterpiece. I also love how the post-game ties in with Awakening story-wise. The gameplay was fun and it actually felt challenging at certain points. You really needed to formulate a strategy or else it you would struggle. This game introduce the turn back time mechanic which was also added in Three Houses, but I found myself rarely using it in this one. A good strategy was mainly all you needed. I always recommend not letting anyone die because seeing all your characters make it out in the end is very heartwarming. An excellent and damn near masterpiece for the 3DS and I recommend it to ALL 3DS users.

Excellent game and my personal game of the year of 2019. The music. the narrative, the content, how fun it is, it's all there. This game got me into Fire Emblem. What I love most about the Fire Emblem games is how much the gameplay reminds me of chess. All 4 paths were pretty good, Blue Lions being my favorite and arguably the best one. The church route felt kind of rushed and was the least memorable to me. My second favorite is the Black Eagles route. And Golden Deer taking 3rd place. I liked the Golden Deer route but towards the end that also felt kind of rushed. I clocked in about 200 hours beating all the routes. The character bonds you forge in this one are great and actually feel important too. It actually shapes the characters into who they are. It can also determine which character is going to marry who when you beat the game. What really made me fall in love with the game was the amount of interacting you can do with the characters as well as how beautifully crafted the music is. The music fits whatever is happening in the story so well, I haven't seen a game make the music fit the narrative this well since Undertale. A plus about this game too is it isn't too hard. I found the balance on normal classic to be perfect. I paid full price for this one and will gladly buy it again for full price if I could. If you own a switch you have to give it a try.

An absolute horrible and lazy port. First of all, no online play? Really? Second, WHY did we get the arcade versions of contra? Easily the worst versions of contra by far. Hit detection is all messed up, the jumping is awkward and clunky, bullets don't go where you want them to when aiming in all 8 directions, etc. This collection is ALSO really just 3 games with different regional ports for each one. It may SEEM like a good deal because you're getting "10 games" when really you only get 3 games and different regional ports which add literally NOTHING to the other versions, just your main characters are robots and not humans. The only good thing about this is that it has contra 3, and a digital scrapbook that's annoying to navigate. Very disappointed in this konami, I'm glad I'm getting a refund. Don't buy. Save your money.

Can't believe I wasted gold coins on this rubbish. Watching reviews and reading reviews made it seem not all bad. Don't be fooled, it's bad. SUPER clunky. It's pretty unplayable.

A must play! I am a huge avid gamer. I play all sorts of genres. Action adventure, RPGs, shooters, you name it. But a little game called UNDERTALE slipped under my nose back in 2015 when it came out. It was everywhere when I came out. My 17 year old's head was too far up call of duty zombies at the time since it was my most played game at the time. Fast forward to 2018 and I got it on sale for my vita after my friend was telling me it was an awesome game and being that I just got back into RPGs from my PS1 Final Fantasy days, I figured why not. I did NOT know what I was in for. The game has the greatest charm I've ever seen in a video game. The characters, the atmosphere, it's story telling, is all SUPERB. I love everything about this game. There are VERY few flaws I could find with the game. It's THAT good. I can't say much without spoiling the experience. I went into it completely blind, never watched any playthroughs, didn't read any reviews, nothing. I just watched the 1 minute trailer right before I played it. What are you waiting for? Go start your journey! It will be a rollercoaster! and you if you're a big fan of video game music, you will find lots of musical masterpieces in this game. Toby Fox is a musical genius. With majora's mask being my #1 favorite game of all time, and chrono trigger being #2, I am proud to say undertale is my #3.

If the game itself wasn't good, I would have given it a 0. The game itself is great, good amount of content, lots of characters to play as, single player (adventure mode) was just okay at best. It got really tedious really fast. Spirits are a cool spin but aren't that intriguing to actually use. The new local play modes are cool and fun, the game locally is a blast. I am giving this a 5 because the online is some of the worst online I have ever since. It's somehow WORSE than brawl's online and guess what? We have to pay for it now! The online makes about 60% of the game, and right off the bat, it goes right down to a 5/10 for me. Even the local play between wireless communication between switches is atrocious! I had less lag and interruptions on smash 3ds! Unless you're planning to play this game strictly offline with buddies on the same system, you'll have a great time. For other reasons I mentioned such as local wireless or online, DON'T bother. You will be GREATLY disappointed.
