Fantastic game. Nice relaxing change of pace. The more you put into it trying to gather (and read) all the collectibles and the more you get to know the characters, the more you will adore this game. The music is outstanding and the humour is great! I can't wait to play the rest....

I found this game outstanding. The combat is fun, it never gets stale because you are consistently given new ways to open up your combos. The scoring system is fair and gives you a fantastic sense of achievement when you get that SSS rank. The highlight of the game for me was everything surrounding the gameplay however. The characters' facial animations are spot on and the voice acting is some of the best in modern gaming. Topped off by a fantastic script, the characters and their motivations seem refreshingly believable. The humour is subtle, not forced, which made it that much funnier. There are numerous references to other games, films, and real people which are quite amusing. You WILL enjoy this game if you haven't played it before.

The 3D effect looks absolutely wonderful in this. Strong arcade-like difficulty that keeps you coming back to progress further. Feels like a modern game and is a joy to play. The creators must've been ahead of their time. Would recommend.

I am a faithful 'Tales of' fan and I seriously wanted to love this game. Xillia 1 came second to Symphonia in my books and I was hoping for more of the same/better things with this. Unfortunately, I have to say that I found this game fairly average. I didn't find myself wanting to spend time with the characters as much as I did in the first one. My thought throughout the game was 'hurry up and finish already'. I think that is a shame because THERE IS a good amount of worthwhile content, but Xillia 2 is far too disjointed and bloated to enthusiastically recommend.

An almost flawless strategy game. The updated visuals are simply gorgeous, but I can't help but feel the character sprites could have been made to be more like the Wii and Gamecube Fire Emblems.

I was a bit unsure of whether to get this game. I have played games like Advance Wars and Fire Emblem in the past and have really enjoyed them, but for some reason, modern gaming has made me only buy a game if it has good online multiplayer, good graphics and a good story....turns out neither of these things are needed to make this one of the best launch titles for the 3ds, it will keep you occupied for ages and the gameplay is extremely addictive! Worth every penny!
