The Graphics are okayish (for a F2P game, although if you get close to objects the textures are low res). I just don't like the rest. Tons of currencies to be able to establish paywalls. Of course they want to make money. But Why should I put myself through that when I can play without paywalls (in paid games)? The story is weird, there's no real coop and no real mmo. It tries to be everything but fails. Also Toxic and hateful comments about wars in the chat. Gambling is existent too and there are way too many menues. Half the game you are in menues. Overall it's Not worth my time. There are tons of better games for little money. I rather continue playing Enshrouded. PS.
I can't take the people serious who rate the game a 10 or 9. In reality It's definitely nowhere near a 10 or 9. But it's also not a 0 and 1 too. Just try it for yourself, you can have fun with that game or you just ignore it and you will not miss a thing.
i had no expectations, didn´t watch any videos or reviews. I played it for only 4 hours and i´m already bored. All you do is running from A to B while reading / listening to tons of overcomplicated bla bla from npc´s. And in the end all this is only for pushing a button and shoot (or stealth kill) enemies. Sometimes you can avoid fights with dialogues. Then watch a cutscene which are nice. But then the loop starts from the beginning: bla bla, running around, pew pew, push a button, cutscene. And again and again and again. Yawn. The graphics are mediocre (at best) at maximum graphics settings. In crouded areas with many buildings it looks good but in the rural areas it almost looks like World of warcraft. The third person view looks and feels cheaply made so I preferred the first person view. From the technical side it´s mediocre too. It´s the first game where i had to set the shader size to 10 GB in Nvidia control panel because it was lagging every 100 meters. It fixed the problem but it should not be the task of the player to google for fixes because the developers didn´t do their homework. In addition this game has the worst frame generation i ever saw in a game. All other games where i enabled frame generation had no artifacts, ghosting or graphics glitches. But this game has artifacts, ghosting and graphics glitches without end even with only 2x frame generation. Where are all the stunning graphics from the trailers? I know trailers are trailers but common. That´s miles away from the trailers. And why is there no German voices in a 100 € game? I hate to read fastly and being forced to hurry up because the english speakers speak too fast to keep up with reading the translated text. There are definitely good things in the game but overall there are too many bad things which led me to quit and delete the game. Maybe if they fix the frame generation I'll come back.
Run, combat, cutscene, and then again run. That´s 95% of the gameplay. That´s all you do. Boring and repetetiv after 15 minutes. Graphics are nice. Sound and controls are nice. The chinese voice of the main character is ridicilous and doesn´t fit. It sounds like a 80 year old pervert who weighs 50 kilo and is 1,50 cm small. We laughed hard everytime he was talking. I selected english as the voice language but it´s still chinese.

Boring map, boring buildings, the buildings look empty inside and they look all the same inside. The zombies are called puppets lol.
Melee combat is just spamming the attack button on the mouse as fast as possible. Blocking doesn't do anything to protect you. No gamepad support. Steam controller layouts are not very good.
The graphics are not bad. Overpriced and ridiculous skins for real money. Not worth the 10 € i paid for this game.
Mediocre game.
In the beginning it´s good. You are dehydrating every 5 minutes but okay, it´s a desert.
In the midgame when you built your base and have dirtbikes and a Thopter it starts to become boring. Nothing but grind. It´s like a free to play MMO for mobile phones. The main story is weird and confusing and my wife and me were always asking ourselves: what the hell are they even talking about. It´s trying to be very serious and meaningful but it´s only bla bla bla. The challenges are a boring joke: Run through a tube-level from A to B and at the end press a button. Sometimes a fight or crouch behind 3 rocks. LOL. And the sidequests are garbage too: Go to A kill 10 X or find Y and then go back to B. Yawn. And while you are grinding without end hoping for some variation of the gameplay you get even more grinding without end in the endgame.
Yes we were entertained for some time but Conan Exiles is much better in the variety of the gameplay and the map.
The atmosphere is good and the sound too. And it was exciting to cross open sand and not get eaten by a worm. But as soon as you know how to play it then you never get eaten by a worm again.
The vertical gameplay is also good, lot of climbing. The grappling hook is fun but we had this in a thousand other games before. So it´s nothing special anymore. The map is interesting and boring at the same time.
It is only desert, caves, camps and outposts which are all the same.
Where are all these cool things from the Trailers? Why are all servers almost empty?
Why are there only 4 types of NPC enemies?
Why are there no PVE servers?
Why are there no animals in the open world except fake birds which always fly no-clip through rocks and mountains (and can´t be shot down)?
Why are there only 1 assault rifle in weaker and stronger variants (same with all other weapons).
Why is everything so half baked? Thank god we bought it for only 20 € because it´s not worth more than 20 maybe 25 €. The playerbase is shrinking fast. It was in the 5 most played games on steam at the beginning but now it´s only 25k peak even on the weekends. Right now it's 11k players online. The game is dying quickly and we understand why. Our advice:
Play Conan Exiles, it´s 3 times better
Playing on PS5, graphics are not bad not great, cutscenes are stuttering, lip syncing is bad, gameplay is generic, characters are flat, boring and forgetable, story mediocre at best and predictable. It's like a mobile game, game is a grind fest.
We bought it for 20 € each and played 200+ hours as a group of 2 Pro:
Nice game, free exploration, awesome terraforming, many main and side quests, awesome base building, nice crafting, many upgrades for spacesuit, ship and weapons, graphics are ok with 4K, HDR and 60 FPS, tons of things to do, by faaaaar biggest "map" in the history of video gaming, sound and controls are ok, many helpful players in multiplayer, short loading times Contra:
Bugs, bugs and even more bugs, ugly spaceships (99 % of them), the end of the main quest is kind of lame, it's a very time consuming game, space stations are all the same from the inside except pirate space station, FPS drops possible with enabled motion blur
We're Playing on PS5 in 4k with HDR on official PVE server EU #3066. We both have 100 hours playing time. It's a great survival game where you can build a lot of different things even castles and cities. Big map. It has quests, Many caves, temples and many more. One point deduction because there's no PS5 version with 60 FPS.
Bad PS4 port. In Singleplayer 60 fps, in multiplayer only 30 FPS. That's unacceptable. No dedicated servers on PS4. Wasted money. Bought it for multiplayer but now it's deleted
Played it only 2 hours andthen i had enough. Reasons: predictable story from the very beginning. You always know what will happen next and it happens. Uninspired and nothing new. Graphics are ok but are not great. 30 FPS at 4Kcap on PS5 is a no go if the graphics are not great. Already deleted. Luckily it came with the PS abo.
I've played it for more than 3000 hours on PS5 on our own server and had a ton of fun. Our 9 huge bases never got raided because I've disabled structure damage. But now Bohemia Interactive ruined the game with Frostline. They don't learn from their mistakes in the past and will again splitt the community with a cheap (relatively) small map which is an 6 year old map from ARMA and will cost around 29 €. Small updates take forever and many things which were promised never were delivered. Dayz 2 won't come because of the new map. For us DayZ is dead. I've deleted our server and our discord server too because we don't want to support the wrong decisions made by Bohemia Interactive
I've bought Dragons Dogma 2 for 32 € for PS5 one week ago. I've been playing it for 25 hours now and I think that it's a really good game. I'm playing a mage solo without pawns. You have to be careful because It's often hard to survive. But it's a lot of fun. The game didn't crash or had lags or stuttering even in big fights in the the big city Vernworth (I'm playing in 4k resolution with enabled ray tracing and motion blur).
Just ignore the microtransactions and all the trolls here on metacritic with their "0 ratings". I recommend this RPG for everyone who liked the Gothic games, the elder scrolls series or Risen. One tipp how to get rid of the main pawn: throw him into deep water and don't activate rift stones.
