Cities: Skylines8

Honestly those who commented on the Framerate need to fix their expectations. This game runs surprisingly well on the Switch in both handheld and docked modes. I have a city nearly 100k big and still get a solid 25-30, which is definitely playable given that it's 100% portable. My only complaint is that to do this there are a number drawbacks **IF** you're coming from PC. Once you hit a certain population the simulation speed is locked out at 2x speed max, there's reduced tools such as per district policies and traffic light options. However like I said these are only mild complaints from a seasoned PC player used to 100+ mods. If you've never played it before or only played vanilla PC you'll have a blast considering you can play this amazing city simulator anywhere you want!

Warframe10

Despite the sub-30FPS on the switch, Warframe is the single best Free to Play game you can download right now on the switch. It truly embodies what a F2P game can be. An ever-expanding universe and story getting annual free updates with new content keeps me coming back. Even though there are microtransactions, the premium currency, "Platinum", can be obtained 100% for free by playing the game long enough and trading with other players. Not once after 2 years (plus 4 years on PC) have I dropped a PENNY on Warframe to progress in the game or unlock a level. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING can be obtained through enough playtime!

Forget these old reviews. The game has done a complete 180 from it's launch, and is worth every penny.

It is shocking to me that the developers look at the version that's currently on the switch and think, "Yeah, that's okay". Horrendous framerates even for the switch plague the game, even in idle when the console is docked. Takes ages to find a match (which is needed to even progress in the game). The controls are clunky, inaccurate, and just a pain to use. I mean, it's free so you won't lose anything by trying it but I wouldn't waste your time. The game might me great on other platforms but on the Switch it's a mess.

Pokemon Shield + Pokemon Shield Expansion Pass10
Nov 26, 2020
Don't listen to the Gen 1 haters. It's Pokémon, it's gonna be great no matter what. Great expansion bundle and well worth it if you're the "gotta catch 'em all" type. The pass makes hundreds of more Pokémon from all regions available to catch along side 2 new areas to explore and have fun in. If you beat the base game already I would heavily recommend buying this expansion bundle!

Mars Horizon10
Nov 26, 2020
Amazing. Has got me hooked and playing for hours and hours. The game focuses heavily on managing a space program more than actually building rockets and launching them and all the rocket science behind that. If you're looking for a game like Kerbal Space Program this isn't exactly that. You take control of a space agency of your choice at the start of the Space Race in the 50's and go from there. Managing costs, rocket launches, research, and launch dates. The goal is to compete (or work with) with other agencies around the world to be the first to reach mars, and then beyond.

Red Dead Redemption 210

Hands down the best story, and graphics I have ever experienced. The graphics are gorgeous and can carry it's own against entry-level PC's. The story is rich and engaging and took me months to complete, but I didn't find that to be a problem. Whether I'm hunting for legendary Elk in the mountains, or taking out bandits in the desert I'm always having a blast. Do yourself a favor and play it. You will not regret it. Red Dead Online is another story, but the single player experience in the Story mode is worth every penny and then some.
