75% of this game is walking, solving boring puzzles of all forms and shapes - which requires more walking, waiting for some NPC to say his part, or waiting for enemies to finish their turns. How's that any different from any other top-down RPG, you ask? Only in that all of it is done agonizingly slow. This about 60-hour game could be easily finished in half that time if the game had a reasonable pace. But the game sadly is so slow that I take it as an attempt to artificially prolong the experience which is just disrespectful towards the player. The plot and writing are so boring, unsurprising and simply uninteresting that I have no choice but to call them a basic **** - there are hardly ever entertaining, most of the time they are just there. The game has a beautiful, vibrant graphics and pretty damn good combat, but decent mechanics barely make up for its very slow pace. The character development is pretty cool and allows for some meaningful choices - like a perk that allows you to talk to animals, which, I admit, is pretty awesome;) It is rare for me to uninstall a game immediately upon completion, but I certainly do not intend to play this atrocity ever again - easily the weakest RPG I played in years, definitely the worst I ever finished. Only pick it up if you are bored or starved for an RPG experience, otherwise, stay away.

If Planescape: Torment and the original Fallouts crossed over the result would be very close to Underrail. I've been playing with the expansion features and this is how I recommend it. The story is pretty damn good and has a lot to offer to inquisitive players. The quest design is very solid and doesn't hold your hand. The writing is awesome and truly what makes this game shine. The music is pretty damn amazing. Mechanically the game is really effin good and the amount of character builds is only limited by your imagination. The expansion (yes - expansion - not dlc) is one of the best I've played so far in any game. There are some cons but they shouldn't spoil the overall experience. If you love you a good rpg experience - buy it. If you are rpg addict like myself - there is literally no excuse not to play this gem.

A bunch of seamless fixes, convenience-type changes, instant saves/loads and small additions no mod offers make this release really great to have. If you can bag a bargain on some black Friday sale or some such, it's a convenient product you must have.

It is rarely that after finishing a game I rush to metacritic page to review it with a perfect score. It is also rare for me to finish even short games - and Pony Island definitely qualifies as such - in just one sitting. This game is an adventure unlike any other that made me feel as if indeed I was trapped inside some insidious machine that wouldn't let me out - not without a fight. It is also the best game I've ever played featuring satan as the main antagonist, and simply one of the best games I've ever played. It will make you think, it will make you laugh, it will make you ask "what is a video game?", and it does not overstay its welcome. So what is Pony Island? It is a favour that you owe to yourself. Get it and enjoy, you will be pleased (if you have at least half a brain that is).

As Hearts of Stones used the already tried and true formula we all know and love, and basically gave us more of the same Witcher 3 awesomeness, Blood and Wine gives us a completely new experience. Set after the events of the main game, it takes us to a sunny county of Toussaint where people are oblivious to the just concluded war and would rather sing, drink wine and praise chivalric virtues left, right and centre. Not only is the setting different, the features we already know are expanded upon - every point of interest on the map now has some kind of story behind it or a reward to collect about it. Side quests are both plentiful and varied and will deliver numerous hours of laughs, whichery investigations, and gritty fights for survival. There are several new kind of monsters not seen anywhere else and this is what this expansion is all about - Geralt's last, biggest monster hunt. The main story is superb, and should be played twice for maximum enjoyment. The characters are fantastic both in writing and voice acting, and the beast we are hired to dispose of is a tragic story unto itself. The truth is: words can't really express the magnitude of the experience you are about to have when embarking on this epic journey. Must buy for any fan of the franchise, especially considering the fact that it's likely our last adventure with Geralt of Rivia.

Only played enough to get some first impressions, and I doubt I will have the resolve necessary to play it anymore. All the way form the very beginning the game is overly pompous/pathetic - combine this with 7-year-old writing and a bunch of logic holes and basically that's Fallout 4 for you. Want more? Overly simplified mechanics - traits and perks gone, the S.P.E.C.I.A.L system devoid of nearly all relevance compared to older titles of the franchise; no hardcore mode which I loved in New Vegas. Graphic engine about 10+ years old only rehashed slightly - for the second time now - and the developers have the audacity to tell us the engine is something brand new... Seriously, this game looks only slightly better than Skyrim. Almost nonexistent dialog options, and if you manage to find them they are almost irrelevant. The voice acting is so sloooow and bland it hurts my ears - combined with HILARIOUS facial expressions and poor childish writing the only feelings it brings up in me are that of embarrassment and amusement so more often than not i would just skip the dialog. But don't worry - should you ever want to skip entire conversation the extremely dumb dialog wheel has it easy for you as most often the only things you can say are 'yes', 'no', 'bad', 'good'. To sum up, In a new age of games like Witcher 3 and Pillars of Eternity Fallout 4 is not only laughable but also the worst of Bethesda's games to date. Fallout 3 fanboys should have plenty of fun though, so I imagine Todd Howards will keep lying to himself and everyone else around him as he always does.

An amazing expansion pack for an amazing game. New areas, new monsters, new music, new craftsman, new characters and - most important of all - new and awesome storyline filled to the brim with mysteries and witty dialogs. Once again Geralt delves deep into haunted manors and parlays with unsavory characters - he even plans and executes a heist - much like the ones in GTA V (seriously, no joke - the whole quest seems inspired by GTA V heist missions). What I like about this DLC the most is probably the art direction behind the characters and locations - characters look as if taken straight from XVII century Poland/Ukraine and some of the new locations are foggy and shrouded by shadows even in a sunny day what gives them a downright spooky feel. The only con I can think of is the length of the main quest which is not too long which is to be expected, after all this is just an x-pack. But still after completing it I felt a tad disappointed for a moment there - until I realized I haven't yet explored almost half of the new points of interest. Overall I feel I got my money's worth and more - the main quest may not be long but it's truly amazing and I would only stop playing when I really had to. One more thing I feel is worth mantioning: this is an end-game DLC for characters level 30+ so if you picked Witcher 3 only recently you may still have a long journey ahead of you before you see most of the content offered by Hearts of Stone - but it will be worth it. Must buy!

Having completed this game earlier today I must admit it's one of the best games i've ever played. If the two previous Witcher games had a child with TESV: Skyrim's open world it would be their perfect child. The world is beautiful and overflowing with things to do, character writing and voice acting are both really high level, combat feels slightly more coarse than that in Witcher 2 (which was ultra fluent and imo the best among the rpgs) but only slightly, which still puts it among top combat systems in rpgs. The only thing that could use some work is definitely the UI - although it gets the job done it doesn't deserve a standing ovation. Took me nearly 100 hours to get through most of the world and most of the side quests on normal difficulty. A must have for those who crave the ultimate rpg experience on PS4. I'm getting out of here to start a new game and explore alternative choices and hunt those trophies;)

Incredible game! No idea why people rate it this low - they probably didn't even try to finish it. I pre-ordered it and it was totally worth it. It basically combines everything that was great about Risen, Risen 2 (not much was great about risen 2 admittedly but still they managed to make the most of it) as well as the original Gothic trilogy. The new hero is awesome, combat varied, the exploration worthwhile (you never know when you will find a new great weapon or a legendary item), piracy is still there, as in Risen 2, but it's not a main theme anymore - merely a storytelling tool - and works great. The framerate is much more stable than in previous games and the graphics is, I'd say, on par with Skyrim or Witcher 2. To be honest I didn't expect this game to be SO GOOD - after a rather boring introduction the game picks up the pace and I just couldn't stop playing at times. Quests number in HUNDREDS and the freedom of choice is great. To sum up: I recommend this sweet game to everyone who played any Risen or original Gothic game and enjoyed it, as well as people who generally love fantasy rpgs such as aforementioned Skyrim or Witcher. PS: to malcontents who only play AAA games - don't believe the metascore - in reality the average of reviews worldwide for Risen 3 is about 8/10. But in fact it deserves much more.

I enjoyed the game very much, but the abrupt ending spoiled it for me when I was expecting at least 3 more hours of gameplay (beat the game in about 17 hrs). A truly grand commendation for frame-rate though it would never ever go below 60 fps. The graphics are great as are the sounds. Enemies are often quite a to kill (which in this case is good) because of their unpredictable movements and rather good AI. The npcs are well designed I love their models, writing and voice-overs. The gameplay itself is simplistic but satisfying especially driving and killing with your car.

Simply amazing game. Combines depth of its predecessor with greatly improved combat and character development systems. The only shortcomings are occasional bugs and the length of the game it's much shorter than the first installment (hence the 9, not 10). Best console RPG since Dragon Age: Origins.

The game is a huge setback comparing to TeS III: Morrowind. Many of the skills from the previous game are gone - either gone for good or merged with the existing ones for some mysterious reason. The overall amount of writing is about 100 times smaller than in TeS III. Why? Because they wanted a complete voice-over but didn't quite like to spend money on it. This is reflected both in the quality of the voice-overs which is poor at best, as well as the amount of actors that are involved in the process. There's about 12 of them. For like 120 characters. Seriously. The amount of quests is severely limited - at least cut in half (optimistically...). Another extremely annoying feature of this game is the fact that enemies level up with the player character which not only makes you feel like you're not leveling at all but on the higher levels you get weaker and weaker compared to enemies... But I could forgive all that if the exploration was more rewarding. And let me tell you - it is almost not rewarding at all. You wander into a a dungeon with enemies and loot generated to match your level, then to another which looks completely the same, then another... almost same dungeon? Yes. For real. Sadly. This means not only extreme boredom and no point at all to exploring dungeons. It means you will never encounter unique items and powerful artifacts in dungeons you explore - like it was in Morrowind. The only things that are actually improved since Morrowind are the combat system - which makes you feel like you're actually fighting and not just swinging a sword like a puppet - and special bonuses that you gain leveling the skills. Every 25 points up to 100 in a skill gives you a special ability your character can perform. Example: 100 in acrobatics means you will be able to jump on the water, 100 in swords will give you a special move etc. These things are nice but do not make up for all the setbacks mentioned, The plot. Well. The plot is just the most horrible abomination I have ever seen in a would-be RPG game - why would-be? because in RPG you actually have some choices which influence the world in some way, here your only choices are whether to complete a quest or when to do it, which are not choices at all. Anyway, the plot is linear as hell, you have no control over the outcome of the game. You are not even the main character of the game - you only help him while he takes all the credit for all that tedious dungeoncrawling! The factions are present as before - you do quests and make your way up in the chain of command. But these are pretty boring too. The only one I really enjoyed somehow was the Dark Brotherhood and, the Thieves Guild (but not as much). Overall - if you have too much time to waste you may as well take this game up, but it is nothing special. The bigger DLCs like Mehrunes Razor and Shivering Isles can improve the game's situation but I am rating the base game now so... It doesn't stand anywhere near Morrowind in terms of fun, content or the story line. Why would Bethesda simplify their game so much? I don't know. Nor I want to know.

First, I would like to state that my review concerns the latest, fully patched, version of the game, not the game as it was right after release. That being said I would like start with the game's flaws, as even this game is not perfect. The graphics speaks for itself I think - Bethesda's old engine just cannot dream to be on par with latest productions, but graphics is not what this game is about. Apart from that there are some glitches that may occasionally resurface like character ending up stuck in some invisible force field, items and critters not spawning correctly in some areas (re-loading the location usually helps), script triggers not working properly at times, rather long load times. All those may be annoying but are not able to really spoil the fun. What we got from Obsidian is nothing less but a true blood Fallout RPG, for the first time since 1998 and Fallout 2. Not only is it a rightful continuation to the franchise, but also a grand improvement comparing to painfully simplistic Fallout 3. The main plot is pretty simple, like in all Fallout games, but this time the player has a truly extraordinary control over the outcome of the story. Each and every choice influences the Mojave Desert area in some way. Completing quests may not have consequences immediately but later in the game our previous decisions may prove crucial. Aside from the main storyline there are at dozens of side quests - some of them longer, some shorter - all well-designed and interesting. In FNV there are many old-new features. Old because they were present in the original Fallouts 1 & 2, new because they were drastically simplified or totally omitted in F3. Some of these are: Levelable companions with interesting backgrounds and a "companion wheel" to control their behaviour. Traits are back! Reputation and fraction system. Maintenance bar for weapons and armours as well as minimal requirements to use weapons. Various ammunition types. Multitude of new, useful and interesting perks. Last but not least: Hardcore mode - a nightmare of Fallout 3 fans (or rather - of Fallout 3's simplicity fans). In this optional difficulty level, some of Bethesda's simplifications, like instantly-healing stimpacks or weightless ammo, vanish and the game itself gets a survival aspect, never present before, PC needs to sleep, eat and hydrate regularily - I strongly recommend ticking it on. One more thing - world map. The area in NV is a bit smaller than that presented in F3 but is more densely packed with locations and monster encounters - what should be a good news to those bored with running through a nearly empty, nearly critterless desert of Capital Wasteland. Overall - the game has some minor flaws but they should not interfere with experiencing one of the best RPGs ever created by man. The game (without dlcs) has a gemetime potential of even 100+ hours if you want to discover every location and do every quest. Moreover, if you want to exploit every possibility and gain every achievement you will want to start over and take a different path, siding with other factions and completing quests in alternative ways. Objectively, my score should be 9,5, because of the flaws, but I give it 10 as in reality it does not deserve less. Buy and play. Amen.

As this was my first purchase for Vita I was not sure what to expect of both the console and the game. Fortunately the game proved to be very decent third-person tactical shooter where both approaches - stealth and direct - pay off. Leveling the operatives is fun, as well as playing them in both single-player campaign and co-op. Four different mission types and four different difficulty levels provide a challenge for all but most whimsy players. The ladder system and daily challenges are nice touch. Graphics is nice, even if a bit plain at times. The frame-rate gets it sometimes though - especially in multiplayer. Overall, this is a solid production which I would recommend to anyone who likes third-person games that require a bit of a tactical approach.
