The quality of the print was uneven, and sometimes the CGI was rough. But the acting was outstanding, especially from Pugh, who carried the film on her back with excellent help from really great actors, including the very talented Stan. I’ve heard some mention that Pullman (who is low key wonderful at emotional insecurity, brilliant casting) does a great job differentiating between the difference sides of his character, but I don’t think we saw enough of two of those to say that. Also, the battle between Sentry and the team highlights a problem. No effort needed to be expended to dispatch them, so there wasn’t a lot of actual physicality from the character. I don’t know how they solve that considering his power, but hopefully they’ll figure it out in Doomsday.
