While I can't speak for any other platforms that the game is on since there are different people playing on different platforms, the game is very well done as of right now. However, the community is one of the worst I have ever seen. To begin with, the game's developers are not ever going to release paid DLC for maps or characters or anything of the sort. Those are all going to be included in patches. Blizzard is also continuously trying their best to balance the game according to pick rate and people's feedback. However, I will agree that sometimes their changes do feel unjustified. Changes such as these make the character feel very weird in terms of balancing, and it can remain a problem for a long time. The game's balancing issues aside, it has spectacular graphics, fluid gameplay, and good music (that is when there IS music). Very responsive controls, and has a very advanced Options menu to adjust the experience to your liking. The game also runs at a steady 60 fps on console (aside from the rare frame rate drop when a lot of ultimates are used before the first checkpoint in Dorado), which many games fail to achieve. Just have a stable internet connection in order to play well on it. Keep in mind that this game is online only. The game's community, however, makes the game a chore to play sometimes. It's difficult to play on certain days, just because of the people playing it. If you want to go casual, you might try Quick Play. However, many people will just pick Offense characters and not make it easy for you to play the character you want to play. And that's fine, people can play what they wish to play in Quick Play. Say you would like a more serious game mode, you could try Competitive Play. However, if you get someone that is using a microphone in that mode, I wish you luck because I guarantee someone will start screaming at another member of the team to step their game up because they have "gold medals in everything and everyone ****". I recommend you play with friends in order to keep any of the above from happening. This game is a CHORE to play by yourself. So, what to get from this: -Fluid gameplay and responsive controls -Steady frame rate -Good, but rare music -Weird balancing situation -Horrible community

Many people think that this is a Super Smash Bros. clone, but it really isn't. In Smash, you dont hit people to gain points to finish them off with a Super attack, so don't compare this game to Smash just because its a fighting game. The thing that I don't like about this game however is the lack of modes to play. It's only fight, fight, and fight some more. Overall, the game is decent alone, but much better with friends and family.

I absolutely loved this game. The game is challenging, even in the easiest mode, and it has pretty hard bosses. Also, the game is filled with side-quests and optional bosses. I really think that the game is one of the best you'll find in the PS3 library.

I find the game very fun, but the game is still pretty easy, and I was done with the game in under 8 hours, even with breaks in between, leaving the game on. The game is very short, and very easy. However, it's still a pretty good game.

I find this game a great beat-em-up, however, for me, the game got pretty repetitive, because you do the same thing just on a different map. However, the different modes and the many different characters make this a game that doesn't get... too repetitive. Also, there is more DLC on the way, adding even more to this game. The game has great combat, and it has a good story, even though it is pretty short.

While not being a game that's unplayable, it's certainly not a great game. It has many problems, but... I can't say it's the worst Sonic game ever. In my opinion, Sonic 06 is worse. However, the game is pretty bad. The story is bleak, the combat can be at most average, the storytelling is garbage, and the Co-op is pretty bad. If you didn't know, if you played Co-op, you'll most likely teleport to your partner, making it nearly impossible to do two tasks at a time. I would've enjoyed this game more if it weren't under the name of SONIC Boom. Maybe an update would fix the game up, because the game is pretty broken because of that infamous Infinite Jump Glitch. This glitch lets you skip the entire game.
