Yooka-Laylee6
Jan 27, 2019
Unfortunately, I have to say that I didn't enjoy this game too much. I was a backer in Kickstarter so I played it with lots of interest, but Y-L kept disappointing me. It has some good ideas here and there, but sometimes its worlds feel dull and empty, with no really fun platforming most of the time. There's almost zero challenge to it as well, which adds to the overall 'meh' feeling I get. tl;dr I had some fun with Yooka-Laylee, but it feels old and clunky and it gets boring as well as a bit frustrating towards the end. Only for hardcore fans of nostalgia.

Very interesting puzzles and a finely crafted narrative. Really makes you feel immersed in its world and has one of the most on-point VR approaches I have ever played.

Sonar Beat7

I must say I am enjoying my time with Sonar Beat. Sure, it's not a high-end indie game, but it is fun and its gameplay mechanics are fresh and unique for a musical game. Also, I really like the visual style and how it uses the radar theme with beautiful and appealing effects. The music is also nice and I already have a couple of songs stuck in my head. Overall, it's a nice little game that's well worth its price point. I'd recommend giving it a shot.

Absolutely enjoying its overall vibe. The sounds, the gorgeous music, the outstanding art and the puzzle pacing. This game sets you in a mood that only few other games can, and that's a very rare thing these days.

Silence: The Whispered World 29

Only a few hours into the game and I'm already in love with it. The bigges feature in TWW2 is its artstyle: the way Daedalic blends 2D and 3D is something I've never seen before. It definitely feels like the future of 2D, and I'm sure many other titles in the future will use that awesome technique. So far, I'm loving the story and the characters are charming, despite the general dark tone. Everything's amazing!

NBA 2K178

Haven't played a NBA 2K in a while, so I might not be too familiar with the latest changes introduced in the most recent entries of the franchise, so I obviously enjoyed 2K17 a lot. It is visually stunning, super fun and smooth to play and the My Career mode has lots of depth, it seems that it is never going to end. Has a great value for its price, I think I'll be playing this entry for quite some years in the near future (never get this kind of games in a yearly basis, seems like a dumb approach for my wallet)

Dishonored 29

It's obviously flawed on PC, but it's not quite that important when the gameplay is so superb. It builds up from the first game, so you can expect the same core mechanics and outstanding stealth action. It might not bring in a big amount of new things, but I expected a similar game anyway, so it is totally fine with me. The story is also fantastic and I love the new abilities for Emily, despite their similarities with Corvo's. All in all, it was a super fun playthrough and I can't wait to play it again,

I had so much fun with this game. The platforming action has the perfect pace for my taste, and I really dig the flying twist, and the art style is just lovely.

I can't remember when was the last time I had this much fun with a game. It has challenging puzzles, an interesting story (with an awesome narrator voice!), and the best 2D art I've ever seen in my entire life. I did some research and it seems that these guys made it entirely handmade, using watercolours! That is quite a feat on their side. Also, the music is superb and the characters are lovely. And, for an indie title, it is surprisingly long! It took me 16h to complete this game, and a bit more to get all its Achievements. To sum it up: get this game!!
