A combination of an action movie and a thinking movie that actually works. Unbelievably well in fact. The acting is amazing for this type of movie, especially Linda Hamilton. We get to see her character grow realistically from a soft young adult working at a diner to a hardened (though not entirely) informed character with only one goal on her mind. The music is the best score I have ever heard. It adds suspense and bleakness and a fourth dimension to what is presented. The visuals are very well done for its time, including the robot. The story is also very powerful especially the war scene that Reese describes to Sarah: it's depressing and it makes you want to prevent this future from happening. Overall, this film is a recommend with action-packed scenes, likable characters, a haunting score, great visuals and an insight into the future that is ultimately in despair yet inspiring.

More of an advertisement for various applications you can get on your smartphone than an animated film that should have good characters and an engaging story.

This film has a variety of complex themes (which are intertwined in their own way), yet you never feel overwhelmed. It creates it own world in which the plot takes place. The plot is the human vs. nature type of story. However, it shows both sides of the story and is left to the bias of the viewer to decide which side they're on rather than forcing you to take nature's side which is something a lot of those movies do. It has great voice acting and the animation is stunning. It is very inventive and subtle and never fails to amaze. This film is highly recommended.

Your average Marvel/superhero blockbuster plus some bad jokes and an all-black cast (which is significant but does not automatically mean the film is good) and some African heritage sprinkled in which is a nice addition to these types of movies. Also features OK CGI (according to regular standards) but is lackluster compared to some other superhero movies.
