A word of warning; this movie is not for everyone. It's specifically catered to people who loves cheesy 80's/90's era slasher movies and from what it set out to do, it achieves it in spades. For those who are willing to embrace it for what it is, this is gonna be one hell of a ride.

A masterful horror film that has a little everything for anyone. It's as terrifying as the first one yet it deepens its' characters that separates itself from a lot of horror movies. And the plot is thicker than the first one which makes the movie even more engaging. If you wanna get scared and riveted, then this is your ticket!

While it's no better than the previous instalments, it's still a very solid movie. Fans might be a bit disappointed because it doesn't really reach the height of the first two movies. But, one can't deny that some of the scares works effectively, even better when the story slips in a bit of emotional undercurrents, which is one of the improvements this series has offered. Leigh Whannell has a good eye in projecting a moody and frightening atmosphere, though what follows it are jump scares. Those jump scares almost dissipates the whole tension building. Luckily, we have Lin Shaye. Elise Rainier has never been more than a caring clairvoyant. And here, we get the chance to see how vulnerable she was and what are her motivations to get back on track in being a ghost (demon) buster. Stephanie Scott did a pretty good job and I hope I'll see her in future movies. Dermot Mulroney and the rest of the cast did well either. So, if you're just trying to find a good scare, I don't mind recommending this film. Just don't compare it with the first and the second. It stands on its' own.

About Elly is yet to be another masterpiece from Farhadi. It is a terrific drama filled with moral consequences and it almost works like a thriller. The core of the story is that how secrets affect anyone's life. The casts are all around superb. Amazing!

"Insurgent" follows "Divergent" involving Tris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) with others on the run from Jeanine Matthews (Kate Winslet) who is hunting down divergents (watch the first one to find out more). That's the plot in a nutshell. This time, different from "Divergent", the story gets darker and the action more intense. Everyone's been comparing this series to "The Hunger Games" and it's not worth it. While a bit toned down, this franchise got its' own backbone. Before I get to the flaws, let me tell why do I like this one better than its' predecessor. The stakes are higher and the pace faster, which adds the effect if in IMAX 3D. The actors are fine as well as the first one. Now, the flaws. Some scenes are a bit clunky. It's because of the script, which is the strength and the weakness of this movie. You'll see it when you do. But that doesn't stop me from liking it because it is plot-wise. Of course, that's just my opinion. If you like the first "Divergent" or visually arresting action sequence, watch it. It's thrilling, riveting, and intriguing. Really worth your time.

What a stunning achievement! Long I had felt transported by a movie and this one exactly does that, whether it's told a million times before. You'd be a heart of stone not to be taken by its wonders. Simply magical!

What a masterpiece in visual and storytelling! If you don't mind oz for being darker than the 1939 version, then this is a must-watch. Don't bother the critics!

Are you kidding me, critics? This is a very pleasant movie for the ages. I can't believe how low the rating is. I mean, it's impossible not to be charmed by "Annie". Well, there are some cheesy parts, of course. But, the laughs covered it because it keeps on coming and it's done with finesse. Certain aspects has been updated, and for the better. You could relate more to the plot and its' characters. Many pop culture has been brought up that made my belly shake and some plot changes from the original to make it more believable. The characters are more lively than the 1982 version, in my opinion. I was doubtful at first when they casted Quvenzhané Wallis for the part, but her performance didn't bother me at all. Every cast did their part very well, even Cameron Diaz although she tends to go over-the-top. But, of course, it's a comedy. There are some room for over-the-top-ness. And the drama balances it with enough heart-rendering moments. Last but not least, the music. I love it! The arrangements and some additional music from Sia and Greg Kurstin added sparkles to an already great movie. I think the only thing I'll criticise is the running time. The second act runs a little longer than it should've been. Yet, it never gets boring. All in all, a very pleasurable experience. Don't bother listening the critics. Watch this movie for what it is, which is a lighthearted family entertainment. You won't be disappointed and end up smiling long after watching it.

OMFG! I totally didn't expect to see that coming. This is one of the best horror-comedy in ages. I've never been so thrilled by scary movies nowadays but this just threw me out of the window. If you wanna see a well-acted, well-scripted, well-executed, thrilling and funny horror movie, don't hesitate on seeing this. It will get you on the edge of your seat and your belly shaking!

This movie deserves more attention and higher ratings. It's so misunderstood by people. If you love crime or mystery thriller, you're gonna love this. It has so much twist along the way. Don't think it as a horror movie with blood splatering all over the place. Trust me, you'll enjoy it!

I enjoyed it thoroughly, and not because i've already read the book. It's very exciting and heart-racing. I know it's a tad bit like "The Hunger Games", but there's a distinct difference about the two of them. I love Shailene Woodley and Theo James, they're the key ingredient of the movie. Plus... Kate Winslet being so cold you just don't care even a bit. Watch it and be the judge yourself.

I found this movie's script was smart and ridiculous at the same time. It's more of a satire comedy. And yet, it's well executed. Although it's not the best, I enjoyed it the whole way. It was a start-to-finish delight. So, watch it with an open mind and don't bother the negative comments.

This movie is utterly depressing, but you can't help feeling its wonder of the musical. It's very inventive and compelling. Yet, the story is making us frustrated. It is very unique in its own way. See it, and i dare you not to cry at the end!

I just can't believe the movie was awesome. It was totally mind-blowing. I loved the 1981 version, but this just got modified. Well, at first, i thought it was going to be another remake with dumb characters who doesn't take anything seriously. Thank god it doesn't. If you don't like heavy gore and have a faint of heart, then you better check out other movies. This is totally a keeper.

This movie rocks!! BIG TIME! It's a real crowd-pleaser. Don't listen to the negative reviews. If you love the first, you will love the second. It's a solid sequel. Great Job!
