Perhaps I am spoiled by the books and the Morgan Freeman movies, but this series does not hold up. Mostly I get the feeling that it was written by a White woman who has no idea how Black people speak.

Great acting cannot overcome a silly premise. For example, this nondescript hitman, in order to fade into the background, drives a $200,000 Porsche. The writing varies between excellent and nonsensical.
