Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 30
Nov 10, 2011
Almost identical to MW2, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Activision released a game with slight tweaks and calls it a new game, I don't understand why the hell "professional" reviewers are giving it anything other than a 1 or a 2

Plants vs. Zombies10
Jan 23, 2011
This is basically Plants vs. Zombies on the DS. No new changes other than the smaller screen size. So if you already have it on any other system, you know what you're getting, though I'm not saying it's bad. Still as fun as it ever was. Recommended for tower defense fans who wants something new.

Team Fortress 210

This game is the best multiplayer game I have EVER played. The game is superbly balanced, lacking the traditional customization most FPSs like MW2 have. Instead the game has 9 Classes, all fo which gave several advantages, disadvantages, and styles of play. The Scout for example, is the fastest class, and can double jump, making hard to hit. But with that he gets a relatively weak weapon with bad accuracy (short double barreled shotgun) and very low health. I would recommend this game to anyone AND everyone. This game, now about 3 years old is also still getting patches and updates. HOW MANY GAMES ARE LIKE THAT?! An amazing game with a great art style and amazing textures, it has a unique look. This is the best multiplayer game I play tied with Counter Strike Source.

Left 4 Dead 210

An amazing sequel. While many were worried that the quality of the game since there was such a short time period between this and the original game but I can safely say that Left 4 Dead 2 is amazing! The game is quite unmatched by any other zombie themed game. The addition of mellee weapons and new guns really added to the experience. With "Uncommon Infected" and new Special Infected added, the campaigns could never be more fun. The enw characters are colorful, interesting, and funny yet still insanely realistic. This game is gleaming with Valve's polish and it shows, it really does.

Half-Life: Opposing Force7

Gearbox has really done a good job on this game. While not as good as Half Life, this expansion pack gives some people what they've always wanted, to play as someone else during the events of Half Life. You play as US Marine Adrian Shepard, a member of the HECU unit, the very unit attempting yo kill Gordon freeman in Half Life. The game has various tie ins with Half Life such as a part where you see Freeman right before he enters a portal. The game expands on Half Life with new weapons, enemies, NPCs, and an all new alien race. The gameplay wasn't nearly as varied and well made as Half Life but still quite good.

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch7
Sep 4, 2010
While not nearly as good as other Valve multiplayer games we've come to expect (such as Counter Strike) HL2 Deathmatch is a nice new take on the old deathmatch formula improved with Half Life 2 weapons and teams. My only major complaint is the lack of offline play with bots and the lack of actual people to play with. I would find HUNDREDS of servers but almost no Team Deathmatch servers! Overall, a pretty good game.

Call of Duty: World at War4
Aug 23, 2010
While an okay game, it tries too hard to be like Modern Warfare. For example, they attempt to create WW2 versions of most Modern Warfare killstreaks. Recon Planes replace UAV for example. The campaign was indded pretty good but I found that the enemy AI was lacking in their actions. Why would a Japanese soldier attempting to stab Americans with his bayonet run padt the 3 or so guys in front of em and attack me?! I'm only a regular soldier after all. Enemies focus on you too much. Another poor design choice was the decision to make grenades come out and try to kill you without being thrown form soemone if you stand in place to long. It just gets really annoying. I do enjoy the new weapons they put in such as the Flamethrower though. The multiplayer is a severe disappointment because it attempts to copy MW but the weapons don't feel right. Since when was a WW2 era SMG as accurate as a modern day Assault Rifle? The best part of the game is no doubt the **** Zombies. It's an interesting game where you get attacked by **** Zombies who have a crappy backstory. Honestly, it wasn't fun alone because I would always get overwhelmed. There should be bots that are able to play with you in case you can't go online because when you do **** Zombies Co Op and have good team mates is when **** Zombies really shine because it becomes very fun. Overall though, the online multiplayer and co op really aren't fun because even in the middle of the day at the most there will be 6 or 7 multiplayer servers but only some of them will actually have people playign in them. Co Op servers are even more rare with usually about 2 or 3 of them with them often full. The game is okay but NOTHING, I mean NOTHING, compared to MW or MW2. Treyarch needs to be original instead of trying to use the success of MW to help them sell the game. Din't believe the game box, this game isn't AT ALL "War liek you've never experienced it before".

Alien Swarm (2010)10
Aug 20, 2010
This game, while small, is a great game from Valve that's like a top down version of Left4Dead except with alien bugs. It runs on the Source engine and enables people to make their own maps which is a plus. I like how weapons are unlockable but the default weapons still can stand a good chance against enemies on higher difficulties. Overall, it's free and I can't think of a reason not to buy it! Valve sure knows how to cater it's fans with free little gems like this game.

Half-Life: Source9
Aug 19, 2010
A complete remake of Half Life in the Source engine, it can't be bad. My only complaint is that it isn't as much a remake as it is a shiny new coat of paint. Valve was suprisingly lazy with this one, only adding slightly improved textures, ragdoll effect, water effects, and physics. While no doubt a good game, I would only say you should buy it if you don't own Half Life. I wouldn't give this a 10 because it's just Half Life only slightly improved (graphicly) but the game is indeed still good so it gets a 10.

Counter-Strike: Source10
Aug 19, 2010
When I first bought Counter Strike Source I remembered all the times that my friends demanded that I try it. Once I did buy it I discovered that it is amazing! While it has a steep learning curve, and I still want an offline mode, I can't stop playing it! It's extremely realistic, with it showing how vulnerable we humans truly are unlike games like Modern Warfare 2 where you seem to be bulletproof at times. In my first CSS game ever, I played de_dust alongside a bunch of people who've been playing for years and while I felt completely out of my league, I never felt useless. I managed to kill an expert with my default 9mm pistol and learned to play better. I must say that CSS is a masterpiece.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior4
Aug 19, 2010
This game presents a somewhat overused idea and puts you in the shoes of a sniper (hence the title). The graphics are quite nice and the gameplay isn't very good. basically, you just try to snipe people but you have to watch for variables like how many people are around your potential victim. Many other games have sniping segments (such as Modern Warfare) but they are much better than this game.
