Salt and Sanctuary is up there with Hollow Knight as one of the best Metroidvanias I've ever played. This sequel, not so much. It starts fairly strong but once the real gameplay loop takes hold the issues become glaringly aapparent. Some of the design decisions here are absolutely bizarre and out of place, or lack the balance of the systems from the games they clearly pulled from. There is absolutely zero reason whatsoever why healing items should require a mat, it seems they took the worst parts of the bloodborne and ds3 healing systems and combined them to make this abomination. The system from the first game wasn't broken, but for some reason they felt the need to "fix" it. Same with leveling up, there is no valid reason why I shouldn't be able to do it at an obelisk like you could in the first game, and the lack of fast travel makes leveling up a tedious time waster. After I kill a boss, there is no question that I am going to level up immediately, but the game forces you to do a 5-10 minute run back for no good reason. The monster hunter elements fall completely flat, I love monster hunter and dark souls but I don't want to play them at the same time. The foundation of this game is solid, because it is the foundation laid by the first game. Everything good in this game are elements that were carried over, and almost everything bad are the new systems they tried to implement. I want to love this game, but I don't. I can commend the dev for taking risks amd trying to deliver something that wasn't more of the same, but I can't pat him on the back and pretend that all of these experiments are successful because they aren't. There is a good game somewhere in here and fans of the first should absolutely buy this so hopefully he can take a crack at a 3rd entry, as well as judge for themselves whether these new ideas work, but to me and it seems many others, this entry is a dud. I cannot go higher than a 7 for the reasons listed, but I can't go lower because I can see the love, heart and soul that was poured into this game.

This game deserves *way* more attention. Simple yet incredibly addicting high speed physics based platformer where you play as a ball of slime who can swing like spiderman using your tongue. It succeeds at what it's trying to do incredibly well. If you want a fun 3d platformer, this is about as pure as it gets.

So far I've played through the first 2 worlds in this game and I think that's as far as I'm going to get. Do NOT buy this game expecting SMB2. It is not that. This is an auto-runner in the vain of a mobile game. I now know that this project started as an auto runner version of smb1 for mobile devices before they expanded it for pc and console and it became it's own thing. If you enjoy those games you will probably love this, I dont. I bought this impulsively when I saw it for sale, not even knowing it was in development as I was a huge fan of the first game and have played through it on almost every platform it's available on. While it was downloading I learned that levels would be randomly generated, which seemed like a cool idea, though it worried me since we've seen 1000 times how randomly generated levels lack the care and bespoke nature of handcrafted levels, but I remained optimistic until I started the game and saw meat boy just charging full speed ahead with no input from me. I thought it was a demo or tutorial or something. Once I realized what kind of game it was I almost immediately turned it off, but I gave it as much of a chance I could and I can definitely state now that I hate it. These types of games domt appeal to me whatsoever, but i guess it's my own fault for getting so excited seeing a new meat boy title that I didnt do the research I would normally do. For what it is, its polished and is definitely the best game of this genre that I've played but that puts it at the top of a mountain of **** It only hurts so bad and I only rate it so low because its marketed as a sequel to one of the best platformers and best indie games ever made, and it is just not that. Very disappointing. As much as I'd love to support team meat I'm going to have to try to refund it from epic, cuz it's just not fun.

So sad to see a classic game ruined by corporate greed. Fire J. Allen Brack, fire Bobby Kotick. We've reached Bethesda levels of pathetic here.

Oh how a little series I found on a whim searching for a turn based rpg on psnow has captivated my heart. I just saw the first game in the cold steel series in a list of turn based rpgs and decided to try it and I've been binging thru 7 games for months now. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT play this game if you have not played at least cold steel 1 and 2. Ideally, however, play thru the entire series, especially the trails in the sky trilogy. This game has one of the most engaging stories I've ever seen in a jrpg, fantastic turn based combat, the deepest world with the most believable characters of any video game I've ever played, period. I want to shout from the rooftops how much I love this series and yet, most will never even hear of it. If you are in the market for an absolutely amazing ride of an rpg SERIES, not a game, pick up cold steel 1 or play it on psnow. By the time you get to this game, you will be physically unable to put it down. I thought Persona 5 was a great rpg, and it is, but imo this series has blown p5 out of the water. Play this series in order and its world, characters and story will stick with you the rest of your life.

A map and texture pack for MW2, which was a map and texture pack for cod 4.They added some garbage killstreak **** and call it a brand new game. I played about 5 hours of this steaming pile of **** at my friends house, and got exactly what I thought I would. Just like MW2, this is a slap in the face to PC gamers everywhere. There is dedicated server support, but guess what. THEY ARE ALL UNRANKED. In order to advance your character and grab the carrots dangling in your face, you must use the same broken P2P system that consoles use. Locked FOV, locked framerate, and tons of other bugs create the exact same experience PC players had with MW2. Hitscan, instant bullet travel time, along with locked FOV, ensures that the game will never require skill. It is a game for people who don't play video games, and it is an absolute insult to the hard work and innovation of other developers. It is essentially the Family Guy of FPS. Instant gratification for low IQ morons who think they know something. I am by no means a Battlefield fanboy, and I am disappointed in the "sequel" that is BF3, but at least it tried to innovate in all areas of the game. I have a number of problems with BF3, but it is still an infinitely superior game to this pile of dog****. If you plan on buying one or the other, I would highly recommend BF3, regardless of your platform of choice.

If you were a fan of Origins and any of its old school predecessors, you will be extremely disappointed with this game. The game itself is not bad, the only problem I have with it is that Dragon Age and Bioware are written on it. It's a linear, hack n slash, button masher, and it can never hope to amount to anything more. The complex branching storylines and tactical, challenging combat are gone in favor of flashy moves, button mashing and a selection of 3, count em, 3 choices as to what path you will take through the game: kiss ass, smart ass, or ****. Take your pick. The sequel to one of the best rpgs of the previous decade is a watered down console port. How exciting. I guess I expected a major change after reading the GI preview and playing the demo, but there is no excuse for this piece of trash. I think the number of negative reviews speaks for itself, and I'm repeating like a broken record, but I just thought I'd share my two cents and help bring this garbage down to the score it deserves.â

This is one of the best RPGs I've ever played. Sadly, many Bethesda fanboys will rate it as a 1 or 0 simply because it does not have the exact same aspects and gameplay as a Bethesda game. I know I will get many "not helpfuls" for this but I'm gonna go ahead and say it. Oblivion is garbage. Complete and utter trash. It has the worst leveling system of any game I've ever seen and the combat is boring and repetitive. The story is also more cliche than even this game. Fallout was a little better, but Bethesda is not the topic at hand. This game has excellent combat, hundreds of possible conversation permutations, a story that might not be the most original, but is at least somewhat compelling, and for the most part, good voice acting. Some people dislike the combat, which is understandable. This is not a game that can be played in real time. If you want to be successful in this game past the easy difficulty, then a very good amount of time will be spent in the pause screen queueing up attacks for your 4 party members to carry out at once. Each fight feels a little different and must be tackled with a strategy appropriate for the enemy you're facing. As stated earlier, the story itself is rather cliche, but the characters and the game world make up for it. The only thing that I could possibly see as a negative is the lack of an outside world to roam around in, which isn't always a bad thing, and should be expected from a bioware release. Travel is basically instant, and you always end up going where you originally intended to go. Oh yeah, @RichardS, no. Just because YOU cannot play the game above the easy difficulty setting does not mean this game is incomplete. "Babysitting your team" is how the game is designed. You are not playing one character, you are playing four. The description of the easy setting even states "best for players who expect to play in real time." If you can't handle that, I guess you're simply not intelligent enough for this game. It's not the developer's fault you wasted your money on a game you're too stupid to play.
