Sludge Life1

It's not much ****. Other games that revolve around tagging graffiti include Marc Ecko's Getting Up, Sideway: New York, and Jet Grind Radio -- all of which are infinitely better than this clunky slog ****. Steer far away from this title unless you have some extremely effective weed to accompany it -- because "stoned" is the only way to find any value in Sludge Life.

Soul Sacrifice Delta5

If this release is an improved version, I'm glad I never played the original. While the graphics and atmosphere are very well executed -- the repetitiveness and complete lack of a challenge leaves this game without any real soul.

Desert Ashes2

Desert Ashes is a poorly executed knock-off of Advance Wars. Except, instead of commanding identifiable tanks, ships, and planes, each unit type is an obscure creature. Trying to learn what each obscurity actually does is the only challenge this game has to offer. The fact that it actually required the combined efforts of four artists (according to the in-game credits) to design these graphics is, in all honesty, extremely sad. The only aspect that was surprising, in terms of quality, was the music -- which was so well done, it seemed completely out-of-place in this game. Unfortunately, since each track played continuously throughout a level as a relatively short loop, even that quickly became annoying.

Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn0

Huge fan of Final Fantasy. I own nearly every game that was released prior to X-2. In fact, I own versions on multiple systems (PC and PS1 versions of VII and VIII for example). Nevertheless, Final Fantasy hasn't seemed appealing to me in a long time. Then, I was told that this was the best release yet, and has the best story out of all of them. So, I gave it a shot ... In the end, I'm not sure how this received such amazing reviews. RPGs on the Super Nintendo had more depth when it comes to combat -- and in some cases, story as well. People have told me that, "you just have to reach level 30 before the story really takes off." Really? ... If it takes that long for a game to become interesting and engaging, then you've failed as a developer.
