I'd give it 11/10 if I could.

Bought the game, immediately presented with an unskippable, MANDATORY prompt to sign up and log into Ubisoft's data collection ecosystem. Immediately closed and returned the game. I paid money for a video game, not a marketing scam.

It's a surprisingly good reproduction of the card game. There's nothing in the way of fancy graphics or fanfare, but it has all the game modes I would expect, achievements and good statistical scorekeeping.

Fall Guys was a game I was really looking forward to when it was first announced, and there is decent potential there. But this game is just not all that good. And honestly, not much fun. Almost immediately, the PC version was overrun with cheaters running speed hacks, which caused me to walk away quickly. Decided to give it a second chance a couple weeks later, and now the game is even worse because of the lack of a skill queue. New players will always be placed at a significant disadvantage as veteran players will know the proper routes and shortcuts through the maze races. And while I could just 'git gud' by failing repeatedly until I also learn the shortcuts from the few, unchanging levels, I honestly found myself just not caring enough to bother. Fall Guys falls flat.

America's Greatest Game Shows: Wheel of Fortune & Jeopardy!

User ScoreLocke_VI

Overall, a tedious and dreadful offering. The entire package is a blatant example of Ubisoft putting in an absolute minority of effort. They failed to license the personalities of Alex Trebek, Pat Sajak and Vanna White, and that level of cheapness permeates the entire title. Wheel of Fortune at least looks and plays like the game show - albeit with slightly awkward touch controls - but I struggle to recommend Jeopardy to anyone. There was virtually no effort put in to making the game feel like the show. The board is a generic spreadsheet grid, and the entire game is a three-option multiple choice trivia game. They may as well have saved even more money and not bothered licensing the Jeopardy name. If you want a much better trivia experience, look toward Ubisoft's far better effort with Trivial Pursuit Live.

Putting aside the game play - which is awful - Kitten Squad isn't even trying to be a game. It's blatant PETA propaganda aimed at confusing children.

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers

This title is the personification of every criticism of the Nintendo Switch: A lazy, mediocre and overpriced port of an old game with controls that struggle to cope with the design of the joycons. USFII is utterly devoid of the style and panache that made the original Street Fighter II a classic. It is, in every way, a mediocre experience.

Given the graphical limitations of PSVR, the makers of this game have done well. I find that having to constantly look down to play the game causes the weight of the headset to annoy my neck, so I keep to shorter play sessions as a result. I don't have a problem with the majority of the tables being DLC, but it is annoying that we are expected to pay more for the "season one" expansion than we do the base game. The option to pick up additional tables a la carte rather than a forced five pack would have been appreciated.

A fantastic game in every way but one, and that one issue nearly ruins the entire thing: Every single battle fought on horseback is a rage inducing nightmare because the controls for Epona are so poor that I struggle to think of any other experience as awful from any other first party Nintendo game ever released. Add in awkward aiming with the bow and boomerang while riding Epona, and this game is at times an exercise in pure frustration. Poor control schemes should never be used to create artificial difficulty.

The graphics are bad, the controls are clunky and half the games make no sense. In other words, faithful reproductions of 30-year-old Atari games. If I have one complaint, it is how touchy the PS4 controller is in some games.

A graphically pretty game that suffers from an increasingly common flaw in today's games: the faulty assumption that open world is better. A hundred distracting fetch quests serves only to break apart the story and distract entirely from the game. The controls are poorly optimized and EA's assumption that I want to be connected to other players of this game by default is offensive. Mirror's Edge Catalyst is a good concept poorly executed.

It's a cute little physics platformer... until you encounter your first enemy. You can't kill them, you can only bounce around them. And there is no forgiveness at all. Get your angle or timing slightly wrong, and you're starting all over. Takes less than 10 minutes for this game to go from fun to frustrating. Chubbins appears to be designed for masochists.

A solid SRPG that, while it doesn't quite live up to either game, captures elements of both Final Fantasy Tactics and Fire Emblem. Wonderful musical score, and generally good voice acting - though at time overly melodramatic. The battles are almost exclusively "kill all enemies", but the story and characters are written well enough that the lack of mission variety never really left me wanting.

The unique and interesting narrative is undermined by a game that is relentlessly mediocre. The game play largely revolves around easy puzzles and platforming elements that usually involve a frustrating number of deaths - especially given the controls can be awkward. And while it is very well drawn, the world is essentially ice floes in a blizzard, resulting in a dreary, depressing environment.

Your $60 investment only gets you only a small portion of what they put into this title. EA expects you to pay an additional $50 for the rest of it. And since it is multiplayer only, you are asked to pay $110 for what is only **** to begin with. "Multiplayer only" is just EA's "always-on DRM" by another name.

If you are looking for classic Dynasty Warriors style, this ain't it. But if it could be described as an "introductory version" as it it overlays the basic elements with the colourful and amusing Dragon Quest world. The main story line would be comparable to what we got with Hyrule Warriors, but it lacks the adventure maps of the latter game while going back to previously defeated maps is... lacking. Instead of replaying the missions, you merely get fields of monsters to pointlessly grind out for items and levels. While that was disappointing, the overall style and story still leaves this as a solid game.

While the combat can become interesting at higher levels, this game is plagued by many issues. Notably, it achieves its high difficulty rating by making the battles horribly unbalanced in favour of enemy MOBs. The story is utterly lacking, which in turn makes the characters bland. The leveling system is poor - it takes hours to bring your active party to a decent level, and since other characters you recruit do not level unless they are active, this basically locks you into either the same three characters for the entire game, or hours of additional grinding. Overall, this is a playable, but mediocre game. If you like grindfest dungeon crawlers, give it a shot. If not, there are dozens of better JRPGs out there to try.
