Devs still banning anyone who give positive criticism lol. Do NOT glaze over the 0 ratings from people on this game. Actually expand and read them all. There is a REASON. Not review bombing. Only reason you don't see these concerns on steam forums is because of them banning literally 95% of their users. It's absolutely abuse. A year + later and there is STILL no game play challenge either. Paint simulator. Will never give these people a single $ again.

DW1 &2 were easily 10 out of 10 games. 3 is a heaping pile of crap. A LOT of the problems with the games design were even brought up almost a YEAR ago during the demo, and ALL of them were completely ignored. Everything great about 2 was not just changed, but removed from 3. Even the OP Axe strategy was nerfed so horribly that it's not even a usable trap anymore, in ANY scenario, let alone be OP. -Traps having locked skills is ridiculous. You cannot change what upgrades your towers get "after" you enter a map. This is why 2 was so loved, because you COULD do that. This change alone nearly ruins the entire setting of the game. They went the "Square enix" route and dumb the game down for....well no one. Because no one dumb would want to play games like this in the first place. -The map is just stupid, because it's no longer a map. You just place crap wherever you want and none of it could possibly be logically placed even if you tried anyway. It's tedius boring and makes you want to not even bother. -Skills being removed is another no banger (Even if they do supposedly unlock after 50). There is zero reason to play a game 95% of the way through without skills, another thing that made 2 so great. -Too many changes to ALL traps from 2. Nearly every single trap from 2, that was carried into 3, was nerfed so heavily it's not even fun to use them anymore. The most boring & basic trap, the spike trap, that you get from the very start, is now one of the most OP traps from early to late game now?????? Arcane & lasers are great, until this clown decided to nerf those too. So you are left with a bunch of VERY boring, mediocre traps, which = VERY boring game. -Don't buy this crap. This game is exactly how you fall from the top of a food chain to your death immediately. They "Cracker barreled" this game.

- Endgame has a VERY heavy "MMO" drag to it that did not exist during the story. - Crafting is not entertaining. The loop is fine during the story, then they add about 50 + roadblocks just to get once piece of gear, all using the same stupid mini game loop. Another MMO drag. - Single player mode mini bosses take a full 15 minutes to respawn. This is NOT AN MMO - You have over 50+ people to recruit for your town but limited to only 6 houses, meaning 40+ people are homeless in your town for no reason. - Item drop % on gear is not really opened til late game when you start hitting the MMO drag, it should have been available from level 1. Additionally you cannot even buy the sticker for this trait. It's gacha only. - Gacha boxes with important loot in a SINGLE player game??? Seriously?? (The boxes themselves are free $ wise, but they use once a "Real life day" collectables, this is a stupid mobile game trend that should have died) - The massive Coop+SP map has more grind to level the areas up than an "actual" MMO has for leveling a character from 1 to 99. It's absolutely ridiculous. If the loop for combat was fun I wouldn't mind this, but it's not. - You have to "remake" a lot of gear which is actually kind of cool, HOWEVER, it requires Redux stones, and lots of them. The problem isn't that they're hard to get, the problem is that you will spend 1 hour buying & selling long capes or similar, just to get enough Redux stones to last you for 3/4 crafts that take 5 minutes. It makes you not want to bother because for 1 hour all you are doing is running to the store, buying capes, selling to redux guy and repeat. its horrible Overall the crafting in this game really ruins everything. You can LOVE crafting in games, ffxiv or Atelier sophie, etc and STILL hate the crafting this game has in it. It's just trash. (It's not needed to beat the story, thank god) At first the game is a standard RPG, then it turns into Animal crossing RPG, then it turns into mini Atelier genre games . With a job system. Tacked on with decently bad coop. In typical JP failure to understand fashion, they don't know how to make Coop work properly. Don't expect to go through this game in "real" coop.

This game puts me to actual sleep past the 50% mark. This is the first FF ever that I could NOT finish. And Ive been playing and loving FF since 6. Including 11, 14, TA and TA2!!! Like this is next level horrible. Not to mention over 50% of the 20 reviewers failed to pass a “Did an AI write that” check. Yoshi clearly paid a 3rd party to review bomb 10s, patrol reddit, and even gamefaqs to control this game’s reception. He even “bought” the critic reviews by paying for a week long trip and fancy glasses of wine and a handshake (look it up, its legit and true). This game is an even bigger scam than cp2077. I even liked 13/15, while theyre at the bottom of my list I finished and liked them ok “ish”. But 16? It is uninstalled. This game is absolutely trash and besides the paid 3rd parties is full of SIMPS

Release was really terrible but after the last update to the game, it does not even feel like Ryza 3 anymore. Everything was improved vastly. To ALL THE OLD REVIEWER simps saying not to listen? You see, THIS ^ is what happens when a game had tons of problems and devs fix all of them. A re-reviewed score. Game simps are a serious problem these days with their “dont listen yada yada” game was absolutely 100% not, good before. Not even a little. Updates fixed that. Even their last patch notes 1.05 list the problems that are now gone. If that lying “dont listen to x y z” bs was not true before, then WHY ARE ALL OF THOSE THINGS IN THE PATCH NOTES YOU WORTHLESS SIMPS. Either way, game is super good at last. I do encourage getting it. And remember boys & girls, NEVER listen to simps. Otherwise problems will never be PATCHED.

Other review is true. This never shouldve been released. Even if you do get past the INSANE # of bugs, JUST within the tutorial the damn game isnt even fun. The fact critics avg is 7.1 just proves total corruption and lies on their end. Like most of us already knew that but for any of them to rate this even over a 4 is complete brown nosing for unknown reasons. (Well, tbh we know why, and its pathetic) I went in expecting a more complex mix of overcooked and some sort of restaurant making sim. But even the recipes in this game (job???) are not even a little fun making. Like, at all. Forget the bugs for a moment, the game is boring as hell. That said there IS a ton of bugs. Horrible explanations, etc. like having to make the same dish 3 times in the first tutorial, but it only says to make it once. Leaving you to believe its stuck and you quit. Mind you at this point, you cannot even save. Dont support this game. Its nothing like overcooked. Which wouldve been perfectly fine, yes, but the bugs and it not being fun AT all…. Man this game is flat out horrible. Would not even pay 9.99. It feels like an actual job playing this, maybe they should be paying us. Seriously this game is disgustingly bad

Engage has had me "engaged" for hours. Not many games do that in the last few years. People have serious issues. I skip stories in games I play unless they're AAA efforts. Why would they bother with making stories and quests all over? Engage is great because it does NOT do what 3H did, which is had boring a to b quests in town all over.

- Irritating. You do NOT need to be aware of the studios size. Get out with that nonsense. - Good music - Good landscape design, dungeons and mines are disgusting though. You see nothing but ugly 90's looking areas until about 3 hours in, then suddenly BAM, it's pretty shocking how the entires game graphical appeal flips from the 90s to something fitting for 2022. VERY bad first impression. Dumb decsion. - Decent VA and mostly amazing music, some of it in ch4 is horrible. - Sound FX's are horrible and not impacting at all. Like fallons gun, sounds like a bb gun, it should sound like a sherrifs cannon rifle from the old west. It definitely doesn't. Its pathetic. - Story is laughably bad, except for a few scenes in ch2 ending. - This is not a small studio issue, its a lack of intelligence in the devs issue. - Crafting is horrible. I'm not going to 1, kill a monster for a drop, 2, hunt down a plant from a specific region, 3, buy an ingredient that only appears in 1 specific store you can't even reach when teleporting is blocked, just for 1 potion that barely even heals any HP. If you think that's a lot for just a potion? Wait til you look at armor and weapons. I play gacha games that have worse upgrade your character methods in them. That says something. - You spend the majority of this game with only 2 party members. Ya, not lots of tactics going on here. - Your mount is taken from you obsessively and you rarely have access to it. I'm talking maybe 15 minutes every 10-20 hours of story advancement. To add to this issue, there is no auto-run yet the size of the world is ridiculously huge. You are literally forced to run without auto run for hours, and hours, and hours. It's really really painful. And again, a dev choice. Not smart, even a little. For two years almost all games have been a 1/2 at best, so this game has that going for it that it isnt that low i guess. This is no ffx. Thats for sure. Biggest problem is this game lets you unlock and recruit people then takes it all away just because you advance a chapter. You cant ever make progress in your party. You do tons of work to craft grind quest then equip them and they go poof because of the story….never to come back. Its literally the worst idea for an rpg ever. You hit endgame with only 6, yet have 12-14 join your party at random points in the story, letting you equip & upgrade gear, or waste tons of time leveling them, only for them to vanish permanently. The graphics are good for a budget game Bugs dont ruin it. So that's good…. Since its 2022. The problem….. is the devs low intelligence decisions to just lock things like your mount, teleporting, or flat out take them from you, forever, like party members and tons of gear. I cant even trust that I can PLAY the game, grind, get gear. Etc. Because in 10 minutes that person may be gone forever anyway. The choices these devs have made for “tactical battles” is outright bad. Example. Enter battle, before you even move once, tentacles appear from no where and slam your entire turn away. This repeats until you're dead, all before you even get 1 turn to react. It's not even a mini boss. Just a normal fight. I would put money on it right now, that if me & all 10 devs played chess, Id beat all of them within 20 moves. ZERO Logic in their decisions. The only amazing fun things in this game are the environments, at night only, daytime lighting makes the game look old. And the kitty mount. Which surprise, the devs decided to also take it from you every corner you turn, followed up by locking you from **** teleport blocking is major. IDK what they are thinking, seriously. If the teleporting was locked short term, ok sure, but its not short, we are talking 10's of hours, it opens up again for maybe 30 minutes, then boom, you do one part of the story and they all lock all over again for 10's of hours. No devs, No. Game could've been good, devs decisions are horrible. I rate it a 4 because its playable and when its night, looks gorgeous on an oled tv. Beyond that, forget this game honestly. Persona 5 is still the Turn Based RPG king for this decade. Also, the fact that this game struggles to hit 60 FPS, let alone 120 on the PS5 is a joke. Verdict? Once you start to see all of these problems around chapter 3 and 4, you are NOT going to enjoy this game at all, not even a little bit. It has done nothing but bring out irritation in me, and definitely NO enjoyment. And I'm someone who typically plays ALL games on the highest difficulty setting. This game is not difficult, it's a chore, and that's a major difference. @ The art & music designers, for the outer worlds if they ever read this. Freaking amazing work with so little money, but my advice, RUN. You are clearly very talented, and the only reason this game is NOT universally rated freaking 1. Your talents are being wasted here. - Irritating. You do NOT need to be aware of the studios size. Get out with that nonsense. - Good music - Good landscape design, dungeons and mines are disgusting though. So thats good…. Since its 2022 especially…. It'ss not even a mini boss. Just a normal fight. Go back to school. Either take over or get jobs elsewhere, this studio doesn't deserve that level of work. They put trash all over your fantastic artwork.
