Expect more of a Diablo 3 experience (read: inferior Diablo 1 & Diablo 2 knockoff) but now with copious amounts of in-your-face predatory monetization and actual "lose to the other guy because he paid more real money dollars than you did" endgame. This one is a big Yikes from me.

Sadly, it just isn't a Diablo game. If you've played D1 and D2 and are looking for more of the same, look elsewhere.

Tons of games claim a "dark, gothic" atmosphere, but for a real definition of what that means, look no further than Diablo 2. Totally unique classes, the epitome of ARPG gameplay, fantastic and immersive atmosphere, beautifully orchestrated music and sound, this is the main candidate for best of all time in my book.

Atmosphere, music, voice acting, progression pacing, this game is a masterclass in all of the above. Only the gameplay and abilities/spells show their age a little, but if you go into it expecting an old school classic arpg that defined the genre, you will not be disappointed.
