Star Wars Battlefront II0

The only way to stop this from happening is to stop buying their games. Stop paying for loot crates. Stop paying for micro-transactions. They are laughing at anyone that buys their games. EA need to be stopped. Boycott them. Stop letting them rip you off. Don't buy FIFA, Don't buy Madden, Don't let them win. It'll only take 1 year of noone buying FIFA, or Star Wars games for them to completely reverse their decision. You have the power to stop this. Use the force.

I'm writing this review in 2015 and I have to say the game is fantastic. A co-op experience unlike any other, it rewards teamwork and lateral thinking. The game feels like it may benefit from PC controls but I had no problem adjusting to its control scheme, which can take place in either third or first-person view points. I'd say the game being multiplayer is core to the experience although there is enjoyment to be had in single player so long as you've got your thinking cap on.

The first Minecraft clone has finally arrived on Nintendo. It is not a terrible game, but its attempt to stand out are futile and come across as lazy. There are only one type of enemy. Ants. Granted, there are 3 or 4 colour variants, but the world is completely baron. There is NO wildlife in this game. You spend most of your time following your compass to find survivors. When you find them, kill the ants surrounding him and he will award you with some ammo or a new crafting recipe. Rinse and repeat. The game has about 10 different things you can mine. You cannot craft doors, windows, you have to steal them from the ones that randomly spawn. All houses are the same, or with very small differences. Perhaps the most jarring is the fact that there's no water in the game. No caves to be found. You can't dig very high up or down either. Infact, I completed the game without even crafting a house, there is no need. It says that the ants come out at night, but they are easily dealt with and there is next to no consequence for dying (you lose the item you're holding). The positive being that the guns work fairly well. For a game that uses ABXY as its second analogue stick it works alright. The controls were a bit finicky, and with no circle pad pro or c-stick support, this will not be for everybody. I will say, that this game had no chance when up against Minecraft. Minecraft has had years of development and updates. If this game sells enough to make Wobblytooth a profit, I'd like to see some updates. Updates could save this game. Bring us caves, water, more enemies, more variety, more biomes, more everything to be honest.

These 'critics' have clearly been paid off. The game is not worth £20 let alone the £50-60 it is going for. Don't let them get away with it. Save your money. They're now going to try charge you the Earth for DLC - DLC that should have been in the base game.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars10

Even years after launch, this game stands up tall. Brilliantly addictive gameplay, and still there's nothing else on 3DS that comes close. Shame there's no sequel. 10/10

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon10

Luigi's Mansion 2 is not only one of the best 3ds games, but one of the best games I have played in a very long time. The great thing about the game are the unique mechanics. There really isn't anything like it. It's a high quality game that every 3DS owner should have. Plus, it's full of that Nintendo charm and will have you smiling the whole way through. On top of that, it's got some fun co-op multiplayer modes in it too. 10/10 Superb.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf10

My girlfriend played this game, and I wasn't so sold on it. Though, as I watched her play it wasn't long until I fell in love with its charming world, characters, music and gameplay. New Leaf is a truly unique game which I not only now own myself, but have sunk almost 200 hours into. One of the most addictive games ever, be warned.

I downloaded the demo when it came out, and didn't like/understand it. When I upgraded my SD card, I downloaded every eShop demo, and tried it again, specifically to show somebody how bad it was. I ended up eating my own words. Actually playing the game, I found it surprisingly enthralling.

Bird Mania 3D5

This game is as simple as they come, move the stylus up and down to move the bird. Collect baubles and stars while trying to get as far as you can. It has only one level as far as I can tell. It is essentially the sort of game you would find on iOS. Was it worth 89p? Probably.

Sonic the Hedgehog10

Sonic the Hedgehog, exactly how you remember it being. Only now it's in 3D, which looks great. It's a shame it doesn't have all the little extras that other recent versions have had, but I have no quarrels with this game. I loved it in '91 and I still love it now.

If you didn't play this on GameCube, now's your chance. No other game comes close to the sense of adventure this one gives while sailing the vast seas. The graphics are superb and the gameplay hasn't aged at all. One of the best games of all time just got better. 10/10

Resident Evil: Revelations7
Jan 27, 2014
It's not as good as any of the main entries, but you don't expect it to be. I played it on the Wii U at first and was fairly disappointed... Then I got it for 3DS and I must say, it fits much better and some of its flaws are much more forgivable on the handheld. Quite impressive, just don't expect any depth like RE4.

Tomb Raider10

I've been a BIG fan of the series since 1996, and let me just get this out of the way, I am a Core Design fanboy. Crystal Dynamics have finally nailed it. OK so they'll never meet the high standard set by Core, noone ever will, but this is a step in the right direction. Good for you guys, I'm very impressed. Get this game.

Tomb Raider (1996)10

When you compare Tomb Raider to other games of its time, it's hard to not appreciate how well made it is. It's a timeless classic full to the brim with atmosphere, mystery, great music and fantastic (if now dated) visuals. I couldn't recommend it any harder.
