Amazing game. The controls do have a learning curve so beware. I sugest playing co-op, by yourself (even more of a learning curve) or with a friend (great fun). Do yourself a favor and play tin pin slammer on touchscreen.

As many people have said, the minigames are very simple and get boring after a while. The main gameplay is simple platforming and as a result isn't too challenging. Where this game shines though is it's art direction. Every level is open for exploration and allows you to interact with things in the enviroment. You can swing from fork to spoon and land on the knob of a drawer. This gives this game a rare perspective and it does it very well for a liscenced game. One thing that hasn't been talked about yet is the audio. All movie actors lend their voices to the characters in the game and most importantly of all: the movie composer made all the music for this game too. As such the game has wonderfull music by Michael Giacchino (Medal of honor, Up, The Incredibles, Zootopia, Rogue one: a star wars story...) This alone makes the game worth a playtrough.

--> Pro's: *it's the original classic, which is still a good game. *it used to be cheap new. --> Cons *there's a remake (zero mission) on the same system. *that very same remake unlocks this game upon completion. *The game has aged. *The game is pretty hard. --> Conclusion: Do not buy unless collecting the "NES Classics" line of GBA games.

The story is bad The combat is fine (not my thing but it is more engaging, that's a fact) But the time limit just kills the game. At the start you get 6 real life hours to complete the game, with possible extensions as you go on (up to 13 hours). If this clock runs out, you'll have to start over (but you keep your equipment etc.) what makes the timer even worse however, is how the game puts time restrictions on certain missions. For example, go to that person in that part of the city between 7 and 9 pm, making you essentially waste some of that precious 6 hours waiting. all in all, skip this game unless you're invested in the FF 13 storyline

A prequel to the most famous (and slightly overrated) final fantasy. It's an action rpg that follows the story of zack fair (best friend of cloud) and his life as a SOLDIER opperative for the shin-ra company. Most characters are well fleshed out and likeable for who they are. The combat is quite deep, even though you are limited to attack, defend and up to 6 materia. The combat is partially luck based however, there's a slot machine that dictates when you or your materia level up. It also gives special moves and passive buffs to Zack if it rolls in certain ways. This was never actually a problem for me as the ods of getting something is pretty high. The game is however, very lineair. It has a main story and over 300 side missions that you can acces from your in-game menu. Those missions all boil down to the same thing: start in 1 of 12 random areas, run around opening chests and kill the boss. This can get very repetitive but they are optional in the end. Some do reward you with very usefull things like being able to use items in your crafting system Speaking of the crafting system: it's great, it allows you to craft your own materia. For example: adding fire to assault twister= fire blade. All in all it's an enjoyable experience for fans of Final fantasy or PSP owners in general and I would definitly recommend it to them

The game that started it all. The original game still holds up to this day although it doesn't have great controls like it's successors What it does have over it's successors (The ps3 games especially) is a great story. Was it good back then? Hell yeah! Is it still worth playing? Hell yeah! It is availiable on ps2 and ps3 in the form of the ratchet and clank collection, both are great but beware that the collection can have some slowdowns.

In short: It's allright albeit quite short. I wouldn't buy it but it's a good adition to the full package version Long version: You get 4 new activities, each has 2 levels: 3 of which are variations on missions you already have in the base game (escort, Proffessor genki's and a unique tank destruction mission where you play as a giant ball of yarn). The last one is new an d unique but to be honest, not the most fun IMO. The rewards you get are the genki vehicles (pink colored gang vehicles pretty much), the 4 girls as companions and a few trophies for psn.

Assassin's Creed II

Simply put: it's the best assassin's creed game up to date. It improved heavily on the mechanics of the orignal (such as increasing climb speed) and made up an interesting story in an interesting setting. The gameplay itself is very satisfying and the story really drags you in. There's enough variation in the missions and sidequests to keep you hooked until well after the game is completed. The controls are a huge improvement and don't feel different from games like Black flag. The graphics hold up well for it's mildly aging state. The music is great, some are memorable but most just fit in so well with the game it all just blends together in a big immersive experience. The only complaint I have with the game is that it's too easy, especially if it isn't your first AC game. The combat is pretty much countering your opponent (which they made astronomically easier in this game) but it has enough other (albeit less effective) options available to keep it fun. If you've never played AC but want to: Play this game If you've played AC before but not this game; Play this game This game is the reason there's a new AC every year.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker

DQM Joker is a game where you catch and fuse monsters to make up your team. The story is relatively interesting but the true fun lives in the gameplay. You make a party of 3 monsters which you can scout (catch) or make yourself by synthesising 2 other monsters you controlled. There are about 200 obtainable monsters divided in 8 ranks, (F-A; S and X) not counting those that were obtained by wifi reward, of which many can be caught in the wild provided you have a bit of luck or a powerfull party. This is partly a problem in DQM, you catch monsters by impressing them with the strength of your monsters, which makes a Percentage, making it a bit luck based from time to time. The combat is turn based like pokémon but unlike pokémon your monster can learn almost 50 moves using the a skill tree system like in the regular DQ series. These skill trees and parts of the skill points invested in them can be given on from a parent to a child monster aswell as their stats, making it a lot of fun to synthesize over and over to get stronger monsters with better skills to tackle the challenges the game puts in front of you. The story is quite lineair. The game consists of 7 islands and a few random encounter islands, but you can always go back to islands where you have completed the story for additional content like powerfull monsters you couldn't take on before. There's also a night/day cycle which changes the roaming monsters and their behaviour. All in all a solid, heavily underrated game that you should definetly pick up if you like games in the style of pokémon.

A traditional JRPG that does about everything right. It has the classic turn based combat system that we all know (and most people like/love) but it has an edge over the older JRPG's with the new addition of seeing random encounters on the overworld and because of that being able to dodge or attack specific monsters. The story is typical dragon quest, yet it has some refined edges around it that make it stand out in the series. Not to mention the sheer size of this game, just the story will take you over 50 hours to complete and none of it will feel like a bore. As usual with Dragon quest games: the music Is a piece of art written by the well known Koichi Sugiyama. His music sounds epic and nostalgic without being bloated or pretentious. The character designs are great as well, being made by the legendary Akira Toriyama (Dragon ball Z). What sets this game apart from the other Dragon quest titles: + Enemies visible when out of combat (no more pure random encounters) + Massive postgame content in the form of dungeons, weapons and much more (some are download by wi-fi and thus discontinued though) + Creatable characters: you create your own character AND companions (choosing their class and appearance) - The companions have pretty much no impact on the story since they're self-inserts For those new to Dragon Quest: - You can create weapons, armor and items by using drops or items that grow in the overworld - Turn based combat - Great music - Long interesting storyline -Class system (Warrior, mage, ranger...) Would definetly recommend this game to anyone who has played or wants to play a classic JRPG, heck I would recommend this game to just about anyone.

Ratchet: Deadlocked

User ScoreJohnny_evil2101

Ratchet: Deadlocked (Ratchet: Gladiator for the European players) is an all around great experience. It differs from the classic Ratchet & Clank world formula by making several missions on the visitable planets. This makes it less of an exploration game than it's predecessors, nevertheless it has a more serious tone than them too. This game does focus more on the fighting aspect instead of platforming (although there is still enough platforming to be found in the arena.) The controls are still surprisingly smooth for a decade old game and it features modern right joystick camera movement. The graphics have aged pretty good as well. The humour is enjoyable and has subtle jabs to consumerism, just like the old ratchet & clank games. Without a doubt the best part for me is the fact that you can play the entire game in couch co-op. All in al A strong recommendation for someone who loves the Ratchet & clank series or just wants to have a good time in co-op with their friend.
