SoulCalibur II9
Apr 2, 2012
SoulCalibur II is nearly perfect. The characters are unique, the fighting system shows effort, there's plenty modes to play, and the game itself is extremely addicting. The character models and evironments could take a little more work, but this definately deserves to be a part of anyone's collection.

Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando9
Mar 29, 2012
Before I state my overall opinion, let me just say that this is a very tough game. It could be frustratingly difficult for some and ridiculously easy for others. Now for the actual review: The gameplay, graphics, and weapons are all awesome. The levels are excellently designed. What's the con? The story. The game has a very forgettable story. But with such an excellent game like this, that is a very minor flaw. A must for PS2 game collectors, and a pure representation of what gaming should be.

Wipeout 39
Mar 29, 2012
Wipeout 3 is an excellent racing game. It has a great theme and well-designed tracks. It has addictive game modes, awesome weapons, and unique aspects. One of the only things that stick out like a sore thumb is the controls, which could be smoother, and are slightly frustrating (slightly!) . If you're collecting PSX games, this is a MUST!

The Sims 27
Mar 29, 2012
The Sims 2 for the PS2 is a good port. You control "sims" you create and simulate their lives. Although the other games were masterpieces, this game is missing some things that made the PC games extremely fun. 1 story houses, preset story goals, and 4 lots make this game fall short in features and free will. Fortunately, awesome gameplay, colorful sims, and an advanced chat system made me enjoy this game anyhow. Pretty good for a port!

Bombastic8
Mar 20, 2012
Bombastic is a very clever puzzle game. You have to run/roll around a die to create explosions(like Bomberman) and score points. Along with your usual high scores and multiplayer, the game has a quest mode. It's fairly short, but challenging and worth a try. The graphics could be better, and the game length could be longer. Regardless, it makes rolling around a die more fun than ever!

Tony Hawk's Proving Ground5
Mar 20, 2012
Tony Hawk's Proving Ground lacks in many things. Fans of the series may have found Project 8(PS2) disappointing, and I agree with them. It cut out too many things that people loved about the series. With Proving Ground, the series is even farther toward the gravestone. Again, there is no Create-A-Park to be seen. The story is truly uninspired and dull. The camera during gameplay is very "odd" once again. Balance meters cover the whole screen...Yikes! The graphics are decent but not the best in the bunch. The story can easily be completed within a day or to by intermediate players. For new players, the learning curve is pretty easy, which I give the game props for. The game was pretty fun otherwise, but just not in the caliber of what we want.

Downhill Domination9
Nov 29, 2011
This is one of my favorite PS2 games I own. It's the first BMX game for the console, and the best out of them. One of the only complaints I have about this game is that hitting X repeatedly to sprint on the BMX nearly ruined the button. Sprinting hurts your thumb as well. But, there are a slew of careers, riders, tracks, and overall, fun.

Create7
Nov 28, 2011
Create's title can be deceiving. You're more "decorating" than creating. The game has 14 levels to design and play challenges **** challenge part of it is basically what makes this game worth playing. The customizing part, not so much. The levels are pretty small and design is limited at times. There hundreds of objects you can use, but not a lot of room to put them in. The game's fun, but you might feel cheated when you pick up this game thinking you're going to "create". Play for the challenges (which are excellent).

Tony Hawk's Project 86
Nov 25, 2011
This game isn't bad. It isn't groundbreaking either. The beloved series has been torn apart without Create-A-Park and the addiction factor is pretty low. When I first played this game, I thought it was going to be like its predecessors. But when I saw "Shaba!" I knew something wasn't going to be right. I played it for a while and enjoyed it, but it started to become boring and repetitive. The gameplay itself is really good and the graphics are decent, though. If you like Tony Hawk games, I recommend this to you. But, as a stand-alone game, there's a lot lacking.

Actually my favorite game in the Tony Hawk series, this game is unique and addictive. It has the best Create-A-Park mode yet, as well as lots of places to skate. Yet again, Neversoft pulls off a masterpiece that is an instant recommendation. What else can I say?

A change of breed doesn't do anything to this game but make it awesome! An extremely revamped Create-A mode setup is shown here, with the Create-A-Park mode in this game probably the best part about it. The story is no good, but the Career Mode itself is pretty magnificent. An extremely addictive game in the series, and an instant recommendation to anybody anywhere!!

An extremely fun game with lots to do and hours of addiction. The game has many places to skate, including a foundry, suburbs, Los Angeles, and more! Tons of secrets are buried within the depths of THPS3, like locations from the first Pro Skater, and bonus skaters. LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-48
Nov 25, 2011
Let me start by saying that this game is very fun when you put the game into your Wii. But once you get really far in the game, the levels get a little boring. What makes this game excellent, though, is how much you can do. Need a break from the story? Play some Lego Builder bonus levels! And, once you complete the story, you can look for all of the characters and aim for 100% completion. Dozens of hours of searching and puzzle solving lies in the pixels of your TV. Play it!!

The game has more sports than the original, first of all. But, a few aren't filling up to their potential. Like the Frisbee games. The controller can be unresponsive in a few sports, but the game is AWESOME anyhow!! This game has a lot of fun in it, which might last a while. The game not only has the 5 sports in it, but it also has training mini-games, like hitting targets and landing golf balls on bull's eyes. The only complaint I have about this game is the baseball portion. The baseball wasn't really that fun, and the mini games weren't either. The 8 I gave this is because each game is worth 2 points, and I'm not giving baseball any.

An addictive game pretty much better than any other sports game I've played. It has those arcade-style moves that everyone loves with a long-lasting challenge that will keep you playing for a while. The "ballers" don't look very impressive, and the courts look soaked. But with a court editor, many challenges, and lots of other customization features this one ranks high in my list!

Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition Remix10
Nov 22, 2011
Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition Remix is a masterpiece. It goes beyond what a street racing game should be. It has tons of cars, which allows tons of customization. They're all licensed and realistic. The cities(yes, there's four of them!) sprawl out with lots of streets and backroads. There is a Career Mode which lets you advance through the cities, and it has plenty to offer. Want to take a trip to Tokyo? There's a mode for that. Yes, it's called Tokyo Challenge. It's similar to Career Mode, but still has plenty to offer. Will you spend hours designing crazy rides or will you try to hit the top of every track across town? THe streets are yours for the taking!

Do you want an addictive platformer? Do you want a creative arsenal of weapons? Do you want to have hours of exploring and finding secrets? Look no further than this game. This game is filled with "gold bolts" which are hidden and can be used to purchase gadgets and weapons. The game goes by a goal system, which makes it easy to find out what you have to do. You can collect bolts to purchase new weapons, and you'll be needing them! Definitely tops my platforming list for the PS2!

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy9
Nov 22, 2011
This game is graphically beautiful, and the environments reach perfection. Daxter is a very funny sidekick, and the game gave me some good laughs. Daxter will try to do CPR or something on you when you die, and he yells like you're leaving forever. Jak is interesting, with his athletic techniques. Unfortunately, I couldn't give this game a 10 because it's fairly short and leaves you wanting more.
