Forgotton Anne9

Forgotton Anne is like a puzzle-platformer version of a Telltale game. You've got wonderful artwork, music, full voice-acting, dialogue choices and an intriguing story that you must see to its conclusion.

NieR: Automata2
Jun 13, 2018
My experience with NieR: Automata on PC has been mostly negative. First, I couldn't set it to fullscreen (it kept reverting to windowed), then it crashed after 15 minutes. After lowering the settings to 720p, I was able to play the prologue. When I got to the first boss, I was insta-killed despite playing on Easy mode, and because there are no save points at all in the first 45 minutes, I had to replay from the beginning, which is just annoying. 2/10

Oddmar10

Oddmar is one of the best action-platformers out there. It does everything right. The hand-drawn artwork is console-quality gorgeous, the music is fitting, it's got fully voiced narration and cut scenes, the platforming is as good as Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, and the story is compelling. Being a mobile game, levels are kept short with frequent checkpoints, but there are plenty of collectibles, secrets and dream sequences to go back for. It has speed running challenges and Game Center achievements, too. And despite being a mobile game, you won't find any in-app purchases in Oddmar. The game supports MFi controllers, but I've been playing with touch controls, and they are very, very good. You jump by swiping up, ground slam by swiping down, and attack by tapping. It takes a a bit of practice to get used to, but starts to feel very natural. I'm really enjoying Oddmar. If you're looking for a console-quality game on your iPhone or iPad, this is the one to get.
