Wow! Congratulations! LOTR done Batwoman style. 1 star for some good looking sets. I guess Ruby Rose wasn't available?

I gave it a 1 because there are some nice looking scenes. But even the beautiful artwork and decentish CGI doesn't make up for the fact that it has zero atmosphere. It isn't just that the actress playing Galadriel is terrible, and that they got the Elves totally wrong, but you can see they just were given nothing to work with but a banally safe & milquetoast plot. Such a wasted opportunity

I knew nothing about this going in, other than it had decent reviews. Not usually my kind of thing, but from the first 10 minutes I was hooked. I love the animation, the characters are rich, intriguing, nuanced and fleshed out very well, voice acting is top notch, and it's a delight to watch. It's now my fave series of 2021 so far.

Lilly Singh does women of color stand up because she's a woman of color and apparently repeating that she's a woman of color is funny. That was my punchline in this review and it's still funnier than anything you'll get from Lilly Singh. The show consists of virtue signalling jokes and over the top cringe wokeness. Of course the critics eat this show up so they can laud themselves for being so progressive and woke. Keep some Dave Chapelle handy so you can cleanse your palette after trying this turd.
