Best Pes IN YEARS :D. The modes are great, online especially has improved greatly. The lag issues of old are virtually non-existent, there are still a few problems with cheaters but the majority play fairly. They have online cups for each division of player meaning everyone of all levels can enjoy the game competitively. Also the master league online will keep you hooked til the next pes as will the offline game modes. A few quirks and little **** here and there but it hasn't affected my overall enjoyment of the game.

Halo: Reach9
Oct 19, 2011
I really enjoy the halo games, not for their campaigns but for the online aspect, I haven't even played the second mission of halo reach but I have spent countless hours with friends and family playing online multiplayer, which is the only reason I bought this really, for the multiplayer, I do feel they tried to cater a bit more to the COD crowd with their powerups though. Having said that it does add an interesting take on the multiplayer battles. Overall a great multiplayer game but I feel like Halo 3 was a better overall online experience. Still a great game with which bungie sign off from the series

Remember the gameplay and humour that used to make the Old GTA's fun? That open sandbox world where you could do whatever you liked and if that included the actual game missions then fine. Remember when GTA IV came out and they seemed to ditch the fun aspect of their game? Well This game is what a next gen GTA 1-San Andreas would be like just ramped up on the fun factor, playing online co-op through the story modes missions is a blast, character creation is great to, this game oozes fun with a 'This is a game, games should be fun, let's make it over the top fun!!' feel throughout. A great game that deserves credit for allowing gamers to have fun again!! Looking forward to the third one now!

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords9
Oct 19, 2011
A puzzle game that is one of the best in the Genre, excellent gameplay some RPG elements mixed in and a charming story to go along with the gameplay. One of the only puzzle games I have ever played through to completion, which a testament to this game, considering I don't usually enjoy this genre as much as my favourite genres. If you like your puzzle games I can't recommend this to you highly enough.

Puzzle Quest 26
Oct 19, 2011
The Original Puzzle Quest was a masterpiece in it's genre, easy gameplay to get to grips with but difficult to master, a map that makes it is easy travel to each location and a story that while not award winning is charming in it's own way. Puzzle Quest 2 however changes the gameplay mechanics slightly (to add more depth but it doesn't do this and ruins the game) as well as changes the iconic look of the first game, traversing the world is really a chore here as you are now in a 3D top down view and it takes far too long. Battles are still good but the overall feel of the game presentation wise and gameplay wise is what makes this a lesser game than puzzle quest 1, if you see them both and can't decide which to go for, go for the original as it is a much better game.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light8
Oct 19, 2011
This game is in a similar vein to baldurs gate on the PS2 and other top down co-op dungeon crawlers, the puzzles aren't to taxing, though there are some extra challenge tombs to mix things up for extra powers, the gameplay is most enjoyable in co-op, in fact this game should only be played co-op, it is an experience meant to be shared. If you've got a good friend to come and play it at your house or over xbox live then I recommend egtting this game.

Have played this game in co-op on many occasions, and after one or two levels I am bored, the music is giving me a headache and I just don't like this game at all, it does have a nice humour to the proceedings but it's not enough to keep me playing or interested in finishing the game. Not my cup of tea.

Challenging and ultimately very rewarding when you figure out the tougher puzzles. Can be frustrating in places as some puzzles require perfect timing etc but when you finish and figure out the tougher challenges you really feel a sense of accomplishment.

Alan Wake8
Oct 19, 2011
Alan wake is a very enjoyable game, I hadn't played it but saw that it had good reviews so recently got it on XBL, the game was not that long but it kept my interest, the plot and take on the storyline is a very interesting mixture. One of my favourite parts of the game is once you finish a chapter yoÃu get an alan wake logo on screen and a song plays from start to finish it just adds an extra relief and a little while to relax before starting up again. Found the game to be like a mini tv series of which you are the main character, no doubt the intention of the producers and the gameplay, the story and gameplay mesh well together with the creative directing. There are a few ****, the gameplay does begin to get repetitive by the end and I couldn't bring myself to replay the game, once through was enough. So.... Not perfect but an enjoyable gaming adventure, if you find it on the cheap it's worth picking it up.

A World of Keflings4
Oct 19, 2011
A minimum of fun, game aimed at a younger audience, boring to play (apart from smacking some characters around, which gets old after a few minutes, which is literally the most fun I had in this game). Hardcore steer well clear, gamers aged 7-10 with not much gaming experience will probably enjoy it but that's about it.

Ah this is where 16 bit sonic began..... A sonic masterpiece, it's these 16 bit (even the 8 bit master system games also) that keep old sonic fans hoping for the release of another sonic classic..... which we might get with Sonic generations. Until then these classic 16 bit sonics are a must buy for any fan and even those who haven't played the old 16 bit games for the price you just can't go wrong.

Cheap, Retro goodness and while I don't feel the game is quite as good a game as sonic 2 was, it is still a 16 bit classic sonic game, for the price you seriously can't go wrong (pick up sonic and knuckles with it (also very cheap) and you can play through the two games as they were meant to be one whole gamebut sega released them seperately as 2 diff games).

Sonic the Hedgehog 210

One of my favourite games of all time, a timeless classic that never gets old. The gameplay, the level design, the amazing level music, this is not just a retro masterpiece, it is a gaming masterpiece, which I own on megadrive already but still purchased here as it is that brilliant! Still amazingly fun to play on xbox, the only things which could have improved it were an online level time leaderboard, and fixing the online multiplayer as it was waaaaayyyyyy to laggy, The low price point is also a great bonus! 10/10

Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection7
Oct 18, 2011
All 3 retro mortal komabats in one place... what more could you ask for?.... Well maybe a little paint touch up here and there, possibley a re-adjusting of the INSANE difficulty level when matching up against a CPU opponent. Possibley some sort of extras to unlock?..... Aside from those gripes, these games are pure nostalgia heaven, great to play against other human opponents (on the same console), Haven't been able to find a match online for any of the 3 games though :( so can't comment on it. While the games do show their age a little, 3 Mortal Kombat's for the price that should equate to just one is worth it for any fan of the series.

Deadliest Warrior: Legends7
Oct 18, 2011
This game was actually a refreshing beat em up to play, I really enjoyed the combat, and although it comes with faults this game has serious potential to become the new bushido blade. No life bars, just an old fashioned fight to the death where a blow that would kill you in real life, kills you in game, a realistic take on the fighting genre (not without it's quirks but I will say again I really think this series has serious potential to become great). Don't come expecting it to be the best game ever and you will be able to enjoy what you find.

Beautiful, the one word that describes this game best. Exciting arcade racing that doesnt take realism into account so much, which allows the game to be enjoyable and do things more serious racers don't. This game is brilliant, the arcade feel, the multiplayer the complete package one of the best racing games on xbox live, another dreamcast remake that lives should be seen as an instant xbox live arcade classic.

The best side scrolling shooter for the past 10 years hands down. Only problem is its very difficult but challenge is a good thing, right? As with the older 16 bit side scrollers this still looks beautiful by todays standards add in the twist of changing your ships colour to avoid being hit and losing a life to that of the bullets either black or white, both are fired at the same time on many occasions and you add a very original challenge and new depth to this genre. This is the pinnacle of this type of game, nothings even come close for 10 years.

Dragon Age: Origins8

Ok, so being a fan of bioware and their previous games such as baldurs gate, KOTOR, mass effect etc I knew what to expect from an RPG from them, this game being very similar to Knights of the old republic in many respects I was at home with the way the mechanics of the game worked such as interactive dialogue etc. They storyline is very consuming and characters very believable, i even felt myself feeling for them at some points of the game. The combat is not real time and when leveling up your characters and others you have to constantly change their 'quick' set of moves from the menu to the more powerful moves etc so they dont keep the old less powerful ones, the menus are full of statistics and the codex contains interesting info about each important character in the quest, which helps to build an understanding of their relationship to you and the game world. Each main character is voice acted superbly and the story is absolutely convincing and draws you in in a way only bioware RPGs do. This is the best part of the game and will keep you playing as the gameplay gets a bit repetive after a while. Now the main problem with the game is the difficulty, I started out on the highest difficulty (nightmare) which of course was extremely difficult but to the point where i found myself stuck in the wilds at the beginning of the game unable to progress because i could not defeat the enemies, after many failed attempts I changed the difficulty and after a little more put it down to casual, the problem was sorted out for the most part. However the difficulty level still seemed to jump in places from being very easy to being very tough, which was frustrating. Other than that I'd say the lack of the 'light' and 'dark' side meter took away from the experience as there was no consequence to being evil and your character leaning toward a darker more sinister person. Or doing good deeds becoming a 'lighter' type of character who helps those in need. I also would have preferred the game touse real time combat like in mass effect, except of course with swords etc. Overall I'd recommend this game to any RPG fan but not over mass effect 1 or 2, which I believe along with KOTOR are the best bioware have to offer.

Great throw back to the days of sidescrolling beat em ups, a nice amount of humour, RPG elements with a levelling system and choice where you wish to spend a couple of points each time you level up to increase your speed, shield, strength or magic powers. A decent amount of levels and depth with a four player multiplayer option, a great game with little to complain about regarding faults. One of the best on xbox arcade.

Super Meat Boy9

Been playing this game for a while now, while it pays homage to its predecessors of the platform genre it ramps up the difficulty and incases it in digestable levels that dont tend to be overly long, with the sense of accomplishment after you beat a level you were struggling on being all the satisfaction you need. After the first 2- 3 worlds helping to ease you in to the games brutal learning curve things begin to get a little tougher in the aptly named 'HELL' and it just keeps getting harder from there, but youll just keep coming back for one more go with a 'I can do it THIS time' mentality not unlike a boxer that just got knocked out in his last 4 fights, and beaten to within an inch of his life but for a reason no one can fathom He MUST get back in the ring. One of the best and most difficult platformers I've had the pleasure of playing a great indie game with more than 300 levels to keep you going for a long time. Recommended.
