The most over rated film of all time, riddled with plot holes and plagued with sloppy scripting. Not terrible, but not worth watching unless you have a morbid curiosity to see what the fuss is all about and certainly not worth a second viewing.

A film of unimaginable beauty, depth and elegance, this may be NWR's masterpiece. No shot is anything other than totally considered, every decision has layers of meaning that gift the spectator a dark fairytale if they are willing to work with the text. The violence is unflinching, the lighting is photographic and the narrative is haunting. Read Peter Bradshaw's review.
