Pikmin 39
Aug 10, 2013
Pikmin 3 is one of the best Wii U games since its release, but that doesn't mean it's a masterpiece. The controls are a big step back compared to Pikmin 2 and some people are going to find out that the camera it's a mess. It's pretty short and while Nintendo improved the AI of the Pikmin, they still going where the danger is inminent and they take too long to react to the whistle. It has a nice challenge mode and multiplayer it's surprisingly damn good. However, even considering those details, Pikmin 3 it's a huge game with a lot of possibilities, very hard, a great examples of a RTS on a console with epic boss battles (sometimes very messy) and amazingly replayable. If you own a Wii U, you must have this game.

Mario Party 85
Apr 22, 2013
A mess in a total way, Mario Party 8 looks great but that's it, it's just one of the most disappointing games I've ever played. After playing it for a while it becomes very tedious, with based-lucky minigames and annoying music. However, the game is very enjoyable with friends but I don't recommend it for anyone who wants to play it alone. Also, previous Mario Party games were a lot much better than this one, so go for them.

Gears of War 39
Apr 22, 2013
One and a half year late to review this game, but after watching the very regular game that Judgment was, Gears of War 3 is the definitive game of the Gears series. It doesn't have that campaign that originally described the first Gears of War, but it's very solid and it doesn't demand more. The most important part of the game is the online multiplayer. You may spend hours and hours in the different modes of the game. The whole package it's very solid. Gears of War 3 is one of the best third person shooters of this generation.

Pikmin 210

(SORRY FOR BAD LANGUAGE) The best GameCube game ever. Just because it was very complete, beautiful level desing, awesome enemies, with detailed graphics, and a very strong gameplay, no many games have that characteristic, that its gameplay is the strongest part. While it hasn't an amazing story and we can't call it "memorable", the game doesn't demand it. It has the classic Mario point, if you're looking for cool stories, this game it's not for Wii U. The game focuses on collecting treasures around the Pikmin world (perhaps the Earth) using these creatures to carry them. Pikmin 2 also has the cave system, similar to the first Zelda for NES, where you can choose the first dungeon to go with liberty. In these caves there are lot of treasures but also enemies. In caves, perhaps you're going to play around 15 hours. Technically, I've never noticed a bug and it always run on a decent framerate, very cool. The sound it's relaxing and memorable, you're going to have some melodies for your whole life.

Pikmin 28
Apr 21, 2013
After knowing how incredible was Pikmin 2 in GameCube, I can say the Wii port is good, but the controls are really tedious, specially when you're Wiimotes don't work very well, I mean the D-Pad for example, when it doesn't work well, you can use another camera movement instead of what you were wanting. However, the experience that I met in GameCube is the same, a complete strategy game with cool graphics, hard dungeons and a memorable Piklopedia, you will have a great time reading the enemies characteristics. Sometimes Pikmin can stuck on walls, and then you can lose them (so they die). I should recommend you playing this game on 720p in Wii U, it looks just great.

BioShock Infinite10
Apr 21, 2013
(SORRY FOR LANGUAGE) I just don't get how GOOD is BioShock Infinite. First of all, I wouldn't give the game 10 out of 10. A 9.5 would be excellent. About the game, the story is one of the most epic, tragic and dramatic I've ever seen and experienced. It never got down but some of the gameplay mechanics turned it kinda tedious. The only problems of the game were that at the nearly end the gameplay was turning repetitive, and that was a bit disappointing. Great visuals and you may have fun hearing covers from famous songs of all time and some references to many movies and TV shows. Also, Elizabeth is one of the best video game characters ever. Her personality, although not the coolest, it will convince you. But her relationship with Booker can become sometimes cold and weird. I don't know how does the PC version of the game runs, but this one sometimes has a lower FPS and textures that remind me the Nintendo 64. Overall, BioShock Infinite is a video game that puts the industry near from a new form of art, instead of a money-machine.

Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition8

Cheap, it has gorgeous visuals and the strong gameplay may keep you busy for a while. However, there aren't many reasons to replay the game and also it's too short, if you try to complete it without breaking records, you should finish it in five hours or less. It's very cool, though, specially for those who love the platform games.

Nintendo Land8

Understanding the Wii U. This game is really fun, play it with your friends and you are going to have a lot of laughes in your bedroom or lounge. 12 great minigames to enjoy with all. It's not only for casual players, anyway, I don't believe in the casual-hardcore shceme. Very recommendable when you play it with persons, because alone, there's not much to say, you are going to get bored in a few moments, so if it's not in your plans play with friends your new Wii U, this game isn't for you. Nintendo Land lacks of online and actually, thinking very well, it's not more than the Wii Sports of Wii U, but more adapted to any public. However, Nintendo Land is the best minigame compilation ever made. , Nintendo in only one disc.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II7
Nov 21, 2012
¡FINALLY! Finally you can play Call of Duty IN YOUR BATHROOM. Is that not amazing? Well, that's good. Maybe the touchable screen is not required, but the ability to play in the control it's well received here. The Wii U version looks a little bit better than the PS3/360 ones. I'm saying that because it's very destacable. Out of that stuff, Black Ops II is completely the same as the other consoles. Like in Assassin's Creed III and Arkham City, nothing changes. Elite it's not here, but you won't miss it, trust me. And stay relaxed, because the Season Pass is coming, the experience is the same. Saying this because many people affirms that this verision is an inferior one. Now, checking the game, unfortunately, the Black Ops II campaign it's too short, we're talking about between the five and ten hours. Always depend on the difficulty and the player's abilities. Multiplayer doesn't change much since the first Modern Warfare but anyway, Call of Duty it's still fun.

ZombiU9

Amazing use of the Gamepad, sometimes it's broken, but that's the point. So hard, maybe the hardest I ever played in the last years. Just remember this isn't a normal first person shooter. It's a tactical survival horror. The gameplay it's the best part, maybe this a real survival horror, many zombies made me jump from my chair, specially when I was playing at night. Ubisoft did a great work making this game, because it's really haunted. When you die, you restart with a different character, and the last one you controlled is now chasing you. Great atmosphere. But sometimes is very slow and graphically, is very weak. But that's a good point, too. Just because the zombies look so horrible. A must-have for the Wii U.

New Super Mario Bros. U7
Nov 20, 2012
There are not problems in the New formula, but New Super Mario Bros. U it's too short, really simple and there is not much to do. It's a good game to begin to understand the Wii U. Clearly, this was the Wii U game that I spent more time to reviewing, yeah, and I finished fastly and bored. It's a good challenge, a great 2D game. It looks awesome in HD, showing us a new future in the series. Using the Gamepad to place blocks anywhere was a bit confusing and sometimes I noted that this use is forced. A solid game in conclusion. But Nintendo could do a challenger game and longer, maybe a new Super Mario game in 3D. Although the level design is impressive and has greats co-op and multiplayer modes, just skipping the blocks, please.

Batman: Arkham City - Armored Edition10
Nov 20, 2012
This is the best Wii U launch game by so far. Yeah, maybe it's one year later, and it's suppose that there is not going to be anyone to play this one. Anyway, it's the same game, simply the great and brilliant game released on 2011. Nothing changes, even the technical aspect. But if you've played another versions, specially the GOTY one, you are going to waste your money shamelessly. This game is great for those who haven't played the game, or simply are Nintendo-Batman fans.

Assassin's Creed III9
Nov 20, 2012
Stop judging the "Wii U version", because this is a normal version, like the 360/PS3/PC versions are. Assassin's Creed III is a great game, from the beginning to the end. Great multiplayer and everything else. Just a few problems, like the inconsistent story. For this version, there are many new features in the Wii U Gamepad. Even if you don't like the use of the new controller, you can use the Pro Controller to play classically.
