Hollow Knight: Silksong0
Sep 15, 2025
Hollow Knight: Silksong unfortunately falls short of its predecessor. The game revolves almost entirely around repetitive combat against mobs, which quickly becomes unsatisfying. This relentless focus on fighting undermines the sense of exploration that made the original Hollow Knight so captivating. Instead of rewarding curiosity and discovery, Silksong pushes players into monotonous encounters, putting its exploratory strengths in the backseat.

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc7
Aug 9, 2025
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is weird, stylish, and hard to put down. A mix of murder mystery, over-the-top anime drama, and twisted humor that somehow works. The vibe is great, the cast is (mostly) lovable, and there’s just enough comedy to keep the darker moments from feeling too heavy. The music hits at the right times, and the Class Trials are snappy and fun to follow. But yeah, it’s not perfect. The flat 2D cutouts in exploration look dated, a few characters are straight-up annoying, and the rhythm minigame in trials is more tedious than tense. The game holds your hand a bit too much during trials, and social interactions between cases feel shallow. Still, it’s a fun, stylish ride with plenty of charm. If you’re into murder mysteries with a bizarre twist, it’s worth your time—even if you’ll roll your eyes at some parts.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus2
Aug 5, 2025
Pokémon Legends: Arceus introduces some refreshing ideas with its open-world-like wild exploration, resource farming, and crafting. However, the story is paper-thin with no real stakes, the gameplay loop quickly becomes repetitive—catching Pokémon and filling the Pokédex over and over—and the near absence of meaningful battles makes the experience feel hollow. The removal of many battle moves also makes several Pokémon far less interesting to use. In the end, while it dares to try something new, it ultimately feels more like a proof of concept than a fully satisfying Pokémon adventure.

Little Nightmares II3
Jul 31, 2025
Little Nightmares II: A Visual Dream, A Gameplay Nightmare. After the first game was praised for its dark atmosphere and stunning visuals, Little Nightmares II returns with the promise of immersing players once again in a world that’s as eerie as it is captivating. While the artistic direction still shines, the gameplay experience often falls flat—drowning in frustration more than fear. There’s no denying it: Little Nightmares II is a visual masterpiece. Every environment is a twisted work of art, blending strangeness and tension in just the right way. The sound design pulls you in with chilling precision, and the wordless storytelling is instantly compelling. From an atmosphere standpoint, it’s a triumph. But beneath that beautiful surface lies a deeply frustrating game. The controls are stiff, frequently unresponsive, and many deaths feel unfair. It’s not really a matter of challenge—it’s that you’re fighting the controls more than the game itself. Jumping, grabbing, squeezing through gaps—simple actions on paper quickly become clunky and unreliable, especially during chase sequences or platforming sections. Poorly placed checkpoints and awkward hit detection don’t help. You die, not because you made a mistake, but because the game didn’t register your input. It’s maddening. Little Nightmares II is a gorgeous nightmare wrapped around clunky mechanics. You want to love this eerie journey, but the broken gameplay makes it a chore. It’s a genuine shame, because the potential is clearly there.
