This really is a poor game and such a shame, considering this is Codemasters. I used to love the TOCA Touring Car games. yet this release of GRID is such a poor reflection on how great their older games were. So, where do we start? Okay, how about every car is like Bambi on ice for starters. Can't imagine any of the licensed manufacturers would be happy with the distinct lack of any realism relating to their cars. The racing line is an utter nonsense, as it doesn't factor in car variants like FWD or RWD, which usually handle differently around corners. As for the "career" mode, it's just win race and earn money. "Make your own story" indeed, as you'll need lots of imagination pretending there's a career mode that actually does that. Hiring other team drivers is an absolute waste of time, as no matter how "good" the little stat bars claim they are, they're all utterly useless because AI drivers are terrible. Finally, contact with other cars always seems to favour the AI drivers. They can spin your car off the track with the slightest of touches, yet if I slam into one of them or try to nudge a rear corner to spin them off, they never leave the track. In summary this game is hot garbage, highlighting the utter lack of quality and imagination by supposedly leading development houses and publishers these days. There are far superior driving and racing games by indie developers, made with much more soul and effort, and at a fraction of the price.

Utter garbage. Five seasons and countless matches played in Become A Legend mode, not once did my player or any teammates get awarded a single free kick. NOT. ONE. SINGLE. FOUL. AWARDED. Challenge a rival AI player, though, free kick or penalty awarded around 50% of the time. Between PES and FIFA, football gaming is utterly ruined. Both are steaming turd.

Donkey droppings. Two suitable words to describe this poorly pooped out effort. The original State of Decay was far superior in every respect. Character interaction, story, even the grinding nature of tasks; it all fitted together and worked well in unison. By comparison, SoD2 is just an utter mess, with nothing to either entertain or engage. Poor ideas, poor design, poor implementation. They really came up with the holy trinity of turd for this terrible sequel.

I managed to last a couple of hours, and that was enough, even considering I usually have a high tolerance level with indie games. Can't say I lasted long enough to experience too much of the story or missions, although that was because of a terrible UI and awful controls. **** UX is bad in those respects, it really doesn't deserve commercial release or any further time wasted in a vain attempt to play.

Without any shadow of a doubt, surely anyone reviewing this game positively in 2020 is doing so with rose-tinted nostalgia goggles? Back in 2006 it was a great game, compared to much of the other dross that was out there in the same genre. These days, it's clear as day just how bad this game is. Pathfinding is abysmal, troop and vehicles are often inclined to go every direction but the direction you actually want them to go. Snipers and other troops come out of cover by themselves, running into instant death instead of staying behind cover. Even when there's miles of space around an enemy tank, hey troops, why not run directly in its path and get squished instead... As for the AI, well, in this game that stands for Artificual Insanity. There's a complete lack of any intelligence, artificial or otherwise. Yup, it's fair to say that in reality (and this game is anything but realistic), CoH is actually crap.

Boring, repetitive, crap. Mobile game converted to PC, featuring "pay-to-win" options to buy extras. In short, utter dross.

Abysmal tennis sim. I played tennis games back in the early 90s on an Amiga that were far superior and more responsive than this. Feels completely random when trying to move your player around and hit shots, largely thanks to poorly optimised and unresponsive controls. Oooh, shiny graphics... Well, they'd be okay if it wasn't for the jerky and cumbersome movement. Avoid this horrible game like the plague.
